I still love this place. Like me and the owner cool. Jalapeños on the house when I come through. Chicken always piping hot, yeast rolls always soft and they don’t skimp on the sides. Their sweet tea is on point and that’s a big deal to me. bq

I have passed by this place so many times but never even thought to eat there. I tried it for the first time I was on my way to the movies and ran out of options for dinner. I must say this place was really good I went trough the drive thru service was fast and the chicken mashed potatoes and rolls are delicious! Recommend this place

This place was terrible. We had to ask for fresh chicken for the buffet twice because what they brought out had obviously been under a heat lamp for an extended amount of time. The bathrooms were disgusting, there were flies in the dining room and mold on one of the ketchup bottles. Could not convince me to go back.

I have not been here in a long time, but I recall the chicken to be edible if you get a sudden chicken craving. The potatoes are very soft but I think that may be because they are full of butter. Yes, the bisquits are good and so is the coleslaw. There is indoor seating and a drivethru. The owners are longtime tenants. They have been here over 30 years and won’t be going anywhere soon, unless they are run out of town

So I really haven’t had their fried chicken proper, but I have had their fried gizzards. They. Are. Awesome. Seriously, it’s the type of drunken, stoner, bar-food that you could sit there and just keep eating for the next hour. Think popcorn chicken, but elevated to the next level because gizzards actually have texture. They fried them fresh both times that I’ve gone so far, and the seasoning and batter is just right. Their dinner rolls are also soft and sweet — more stuff to pig out on. The livers are a miss for me — but I think that’s more of the fault of livers in general, not the restaurant. It looks a little rundown, but the place seems to get plenty of business, so they must be doing something right.

Now while I have not tried the buffet during the day, I have used the drive through many times. Always good service and this is great fried chicken. Being an older chain, they have their recipe right. This one here does a good volume of business, perhaps due to the local demographics. So you can know that the food is going to be fresh. I have no complaints at all about this place. In fact I went through the drive through so many times on a brief, albeit unhealthy fried chicken binge that they got to know me by name and even knew what I was gonna order. I would ask for the piece right out of the fryer and some of the time she dip fried some fresh breasts for me. Don’t order the«mashed potatoes» as they are not real potatoes, yet some watery runny substance made from powder that has the texture and consistency of oatmeal and baby puke tossed in a blender and then pan steamed. But… The biscuits are great, flaky hot fresh and buttery, buttermilk. This place deserves a thumbs up. Looks questionable from the street and the parking lot is all screwed up but the chicken is good and biscuits are good when you are in the mood for that.
