Good place for a mediocre Italian food. The menu prices are a bit steep for what u get. I had the«gnocchi alla genovese» the portion sizes was good and the taste was unique. The problem I had with with the staff and atmosphere. My wife and I walked in after wondering around the city all day and they looked at us as if we didn’t belong because unlike other guests in the building at the time we were in shorts and t-shirts. They seated us and brought us burnt bruchetta. Then they brought us regular bread and that was good. After ordering and getting our food the staff was just staring at us. There were quite a few staff members probably 5 waiters and a host yet there were only 3 or tables where the people were actually eating. It was quite a strange and off putting experience. If they only want upper class inside then possibly think about enforcing a dress code.

Used to be really good but don’t waste your time and money. Filet’s taste more like roast beef. Wait staff was great but someone needs to talk to the kitchen

The atmosphere is wonderful! With the piano playing in the background, the incredible food and the perfect table for two, you can’t go wrong at Belle Arti!

Cozy lil spot with great service. Spaghetti, bread and salad was delicious and nothing was too pricey. Will return.

It’s difficult to understand the mixed reviews here. We went for lunch and everything was superb — staff, food and atmosphere. We did the sensible thing and ordered pasta at an Italian restaurant. Ravioli for my sweetie and angel hair with sausage for yours truly. Both were delicious and there was NO sign of store bought ingredients. When Greg(our server) asked my wife how she liked her glass of wine, she told him it was okay but he insisted on replacing it with a very surprising Moscato — she loved it! Our bill was an extremely reasonable $ 28 including wine. Incredible!!!

Upon looking at previous reviews I believe this restaurant has gone through some changes recently! As my favorite thing about this restaurant were the prices for the quality of the food. Nothing was over 12 bucks! Which is why I have to think there has been some dramatic changes at this place. It was very cozy and decorated beautifully upon walking in. My server was very helpful, and best of all my food was absolutely friggin tasty. I had the manicotti, and as a frequent buyer of Michellinas frozen manicotti meals of have to say this was a very far cry from tasting like a frozen meal. For an appetizer I shared an order of the caprese. Which was also excellent. Also ordered at the table was spaghetti and meatballs, mushroom ravioli, veal Parmesan, and fettuccini Alfredo and everyone was impressed. The serving sizes were also perfect, not an overbearing amount of pasta on your plate, and not such a small amount you don’t get full. I actually got full off the homemade bread, and my server promptly wrapped up my leftovers for me. They had a great selection of wine by the glass as well. I’m glad I found this place and will definitely be coming back the next time I visit Hot Springs.

First our server, Katie was great and had helpful suggestions. I liked that I could turn the pesto shrimp and scallop appetizer into an entrée by adding pasta. It was a very generous portion. The Caesar salad was different. The dressing seemed mayonnaise based and it was thick and the salad had large pieces of Parmesan cheese, which I took some off and ate it with the bread and tapenade provided. Overall it wasn’t the best meal I’ve ever had, but it was far from the worst. It was a nice atmosphere and everyone was friendly.

This place is not good. The service and food are not worth the price. We were really disappointed.

This place is a must!!! Gorgeous décor with vintage atmosphere! And most importantly, the food was absolutely amazing! It’s freshly prepared with a touch of authenticity! We are on vacation and glad we stopped in!!!

The atmosphere of Belle Arti is unparalleled in Hot Springs, but the dinner selection is rather underwhelming. Lunch is slightly better, but again rather average and not particularly inspired. The service is superb at all times of day, matching well with the décor, but overall this rating is dictated by the food itself, which is neither terrible nor great.

Tasty salmon picatta. Good service. Ribeye special yummy. Friends enjoyed prime rib. Nice ambience. Noise of a good, busy restaurant. Our table of eight had a great time, good dirty martinis & lots of laughter.

We had lunch here during our vacation. Calamari was excellent. I found the batter to be light and satisfactorily seasoned. Homemade mozzarella was awesome but the accompanying tomatoes were not tasty or very ripe. Waiter was friendly and provided good service. Prices seemed fair for the quality and type of food. Don’t suggest using the bathroom :(

Great ambience and service, unfortunately that’s it. The food tasted microwaved and was completely overpriced.

TOURISTTRAP! We were visiting Hot Springs and tried Belle Arti after just Googling some restaurants in the area. Seeing the prices and décor I thought it should be pretty decent. It’s not! What an overpriced scam! The only good thing about our experience was the waitstaff. Greg was very good at his job. We arrived really early(4:45, we had a hungry toddler with an early bedtime after a long day of sight seeing). Greg was professional, knowledgeable, and at the same time personable and welcoming like an old friend. Our son had tripped outside and skinned his knee and Greg brought us towels and band-aids without us having to ask. He knew the menu well and was able to recommend dishes based on our preferences. He insisted on bringing my husband another steak when his was overcooked. We didn’t want to complain or send it back(we were just ready to get out of there), but Greg tried his best to make it right. Frankly, he deserves to work some place better than this. As far as the food goes, everything was worse than store bought and/or frozen, which I didn’t think was possible especially at $ 25+ per entrée! My husband and I ordered Caesar salads for appetizers. It was a bowl of soggy iceburg, with croutons, covered in MAYONNAISE! Not even the cheap Kraft brand Caesar dressing that has some hint of flavor or pepper, but straight up plain mayonnaise. I told our waiter Greg that it wasn’t good and he seemed sympathetic and said he would inform the kitchen. The complimentary bruschetta was alright, nothing great but not bad. My husband ordered the steak gorgonzola which came SMOTHERED in cheese sauce with the mini salad shrimp. I ordered some other steak based on Greg’s recommendation that was topped with mushrooms and artichoke hearts. Our son had the kid’s spaghetti and meatballs. Both of our steaks were cooked well done when we ordered medium. Even the waiter prepped us when we ordered that their medium is «very pink», but these were full brown. My husband alerted him to it, but chose to just go ahead and eat it without sending it back. I kept quiet and did the same. But Greg was nice and brought my husband a second one they attempted to cook correctly. ITWASRARE! This kitchen is completely incompetent. We just took it, pretended to be satisfied, and didn’t say anything else. The cheese sauce and mushroom/artichoke toppings on the steaks were very salty. I tried my son’s spaghetti, wondering if even that was as bad… it was. Canned Chef Boyardee would be a step up from their sauce. When the bill came we had buyer’s remorse and were just ready to get out of there and never come back. When you spend $ 120 on a meal you expect it to meet certain standards. This wouldn’t even satisfy a $ 50 meal at Olive Garden. I have a hard time thinking the positive reviews are based on certain dishes and I just got a bad one. Waitstaff great, atmosphere ok, food awful.

My Arkansas State faculty colleague comes here every Convention. He suggested we go for lunch. Had an interesting Side Ceasar — quite eggy and creamy with Shaved Romano ‘slabs’ laid on top. Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp had both Presentation Shrimp with tails and a hearty dollop of Tiny Shrimp to fill out the dish… really enjoyed . Had coffee which came in a Stemmed Goblet with small pitcher of cream on the side… Nicely done. Room was lively with a Birthday but conversation was easy where we were seated. Service was crisp, low key just like I like . Will make it a Convention habit as well.

Came here with a large group, we were sat upstairs and we’re immediately attended to. The server was very nice, quick, and knowledgeable on the menu. I had the caprese salad with homemade mozzarella and it was very good. I had the chicken Sophia Loren which was chicken breast topped with peppers, tomatoes, grilled veggies on the side, and mashed potatoes. It was a great meal, very generous portions. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I don’t understand the bad reviews here. This place was wonderful. Sure it’s a bit dated and feels like your visiting your crazy great aunts house but that’s part of the character and unique charm. The servers were friendly and knowledgable. Good wine selection. Free bruschetta. The Pollo Alla Sophia Loren was out of control delicious! The bourbon bread pudding was good and big enough to share. Overall great experience here I would definitely come back.

This is a neat little place right in the heart of Bathhouse Row and we were told that it was a 4 – 5 star restaurant by some of the people in Hot Springs. Man, I wish we would stop listening to other people and their poor opinions of places like this.(I.E. Universal Orlando restaurants) The service was actually pretty great. Our waiter was back and forth with bread, drinks and our appetizer quite promptly. I have no complaints in that department, or in the beautiful piano playing department either. It was a nice touch. I ordered the«Al Gorgonzola» which was Filet Mignon with baby shrimp, vegetables and rosemary potatoes in a buttery, Chardonnay sauce. The sauce was great. The Filet Mignon was not how I ordered it(medium-rare). It was hard to chew and tasted like cheap hamburger steak. It was also so completely consumed by the sauce that I had a hard time tasting it. The rosemary potatoes were fantastic. That’s about all I ate before I took the rest to go for my husband who is a bottomless pit. The Caesar salad was despicable. The dressing, which I heard was«award-winning» tasted like a sweet mayonnaise. I did not like it at all. I actually tried adding a cup of ranch and ended up not eating a bite. It was AWFUL. My husband ordered the Fettuccine Delgolfo which was fettuccine tossed with sauteed shrimps, artichoke hearts and Greek olives in a lemon, butter sauce. It was good, but it sure wasn’t worth the 28 $ price tag. The shrimp was excellent, but the pasta? Tasted store-bought. I liked the décor, and the dark, romantic setting with the candles on each table and beautiful, modern tableware, but this place wasn’t worth the 94 $ price tag for food we barely touched. I won’t be back.
