The Park Avenue bistro has the feel of a New York City restaurant and the taste too! The waiter had a New York accent and the atmosphere seemed authentic! My beautiful wife and I truly enjoyed the entire meal. Made from scratch chocolate molten cake to end the meal! Fantastic.

Has been best in town for awhile and its new Sunday brunch keeps its reputation going. Have eaten poached eggs on five continents and these were the best. Local eggs done by a pro. They were in Eggs Benedictine Cajun, over crab cakes, and, as always, served with artistic plating.

The food was yummy but the service was VERY slow. It was Valentine’s weekend, but you’d think they would plan for that. They were out of the first 3 beers we tried to order. The bathrooms were out of order. It took forever to actually place our orders and get our food. But, the food was good. I had the shrimp alfredo, and it was very nice. The pasta had a nice, light sauce on it, and the shrimp were excellently cooked. Hubby had tilapia, which was also very good and perfectly cooked. Not great sevice or atmosphere, but good food.

Terrible absolute let down! It’s not even worth one star we NEVER received our entrees! Waited 1 hour for appetizers, waitress acted as if she didn’t care. Just kept telling us that there were only 2 cooks in the back and everything was made from scratch so it would take longer. We made reservations so they knew they would be busy also it being live meet at the horse track. After waiting for over 2 hours she finally told us they hadn’t even started our entrees and we could just leave if we wanted!!! I was appalled, so at 815 on the Saturday night before Valentine’s Day we were hungry and tired. Will NEVER go back!

This place was so amazing. We went here on a whim after a business conference. We were met with such amazing hospitality and even better food. We felt like family while here and we will be back every time we come to Hot Springs. The food was made from scratch, including the pasta. Obviously, that made the wait a little longer but we bonded over perfectly selected wine and we enjoyed every second of our visit.

As a vegetarian, i found no veggie choice in the menu at first. It is so nice of Chef that he made a special vegetable plate for me and it is so pretty and delicious! And the spinach salad is also super tasty!

I don’t post reviews on Unilocal often but feel obligated to do it for this one, because it was such a pleasant dinner that went way beyond our expectation. It is certainly underrated and deserve more fames above the line. The services, the environment and the wine are all great, but there are two exceptionals I want to highlight: My friend is a vegetarian and it wasn’t easy to find things to feed her well along the trip. But as soon as we communicated with the chef, a fantastic and thoughtful veggie plate with risotto in the red pepper was served off the menu. For a moment I thought I could be a vegetarian if I could eat like that, until I tried my sea bass(main course from the Sunday special menu — a very good deal). For the record, I have spent a few years in some main cities of the east coast and visited Europe a couple times, and sea bass has been one of my to-go orders. Yet I have to say, that was the best sea bass I’ve ever had. The course was recommended among three Sunday special options because they just got the sea bass from Hawaii — fresh! And the way it was cooked certainly did its justice — lightly grilled out the golden color and good smells, but remain juicy and tender from each bite. The sauce was a beautiful supplement too, bringing out instead of overwhelming the good taste of the fish. Sides are just at the right amount. I only wish we could have spent more you at the hot spring so that we cold try out the home made pasta, lamb and duck that other reviewers mentioned. Noted thought, that their hours on Sunday night is 4:30pm — 8:00pm, not like what Unilocal is telling us.

Best meal we had all weekend. Great service. Had the fried green tomatoes, quail, and tilapia. All were cooked perfectly and season just right. Would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone visiting!

What a great place this is. The chef does an amazing job on all his dishes. While working here in 2011, I frequently visited this place 2 to 3 times a week. I still remember the great entrées I had here from the pheasant, opal fish and Bison Hager Steak. All prepared with much care and perfect ingredients. Oh, I can’t forget the Escargot. Five star chef, five star entrées. I say if you’re going or in Hot Springs this restaurant is a must visit. I’m from a big metropolitan city Miami, Florida and my jaw dropped on my first visit here.

We were looking for a place open for lunch on a Sunday which would be a little special for my Birthday and Park Avenue Bistro pretty much fit the bill! We came at brunch time so there were brunch items or a fixed price app/entrée/dessert deal or in my case, they were nice enough to make me something off the dinner menu. My parents both got brunch things which they enjoyed, my husband had the salad from the brunch menu and it was not quite large enough to be a meal salad, he said it was good just too small. We shared the polenta and sausage app which was good, the gorgonzola sauce wasn’t too overpowering. I had the boscaiola which I thought was great, with the fresh pasta and plenty of mushrooms. One could walk here from the Arlington but it stops being the main drag and is in a more broken down part of the road so we chose to drive. It does have its own parking lot but it’s pretty small.

If you are in Hot Springs and looking for a great meal and you don’t dine here you are missing out. I would put this chef up against anyone. This was our second time to visit Park Ave Bistro and my wife had the ribeye, I enjoyed the three cheese stuffed pheasant. We started out with lobster bisque which was fresh and perfect. Then, we shared the warm spinach salad. My pheasant was cooked perfectly and tender to go along with the fantastic flavors. Growing up in the thumb of Michigan I have had pheasant a number of different ways and I can tell you that this was as good as anything I every had. The polenta and mushrooms were a perfect compliment. I had a taste of the ribeye and potatoes and they were excellent. The beans were very fresh. We enjoyed some nice wine, which the red that chose matched up perfectly to the homemade lava cake. Now, if you took this meal and had it in Dallas there is no question it would probably be almost twice what we paid for it. The service was great. Bottom line is this, yes the surrounding area is not the most attractive but the building, décor and waitstaff is spot on. I go to a nice restaurant to eat and not be seen. No question, that I could eat here everyday if the budget would allow. The other fact is that I will be talking about this meal for a long time and next time we come to Hot Springs we will return.

First off I thought this was a wonderful Restaurant, I gave four stars because I am a chef, this was a very good meal… for me to give five stars you must understand everything has to be amazing. Everything=Location, ambience, the waitress her knowledge of everything served in that restaurant, seating were they seat you, do they cram all their guest right next to each other so the waitress doesn’t have to walk two extra steps? these are all things I think about, having worked in the restaurant business for many years, these are the things high-end restaurants do for you, this restaurant is striving to come across as a high-end restaurant and they are doing a good job however. we were the only patrons of the restaurant initially the next group of people that came in were sat right next to us, fine establishments set you across the room from the other patrons, to give you privacy(if possible) because remember this is not about them(The waitress), this is about you. I had the eggs Benedict… this restaurant put love into their meal… the hollandaise had the perfect amount of lemon, however… my English muffin was not toasted prior to the Canadian bacon and egg being put on it… you toast it so there’s a crunch, it’s a tiny little nuance that is nice. The sausage and polenta appetizer was perfect. The duck confit was very good. I think it’s refreshing that Hot Springs has a brunch, something open on Sunday is very, very, very very nice. I still can’t find a restaurant in this state that does a true«champagne brunch“what that means is you pay anywhere between $ 28 and $ 100 for brunch and they give you champagne for free & they keep it coming. You can’t throw a stick in the western United States without it hitting a champagne brunch… but drive past Albuquerque and your screwed.

We had a great meal in this quaint bistro featuring background jazz music and excellent service. The meal was prepared perfectly. We liked the Sunday evening special that featured a 3 course meal.

I’m floored by the reviews based on what we were served. Let me first say that service was prompt but impersonal. Almost as if it was a bother that we were there. Perhaps its because we were not part of their normal clientele or tourists… dunno. Wine selection is fairly weak. The homemade bread tasted like someone sprinkled someone garlic salt on a dry Bisquick pan bread recipe. The spinach salad was the most interesting, but obviously over oiled in the pan as it was fairly dripping. I had the seafood pasta dish… first the pasta it self was home made and the server was proud to tell us and it tasted as much. Handmade pasta is always a winner. The rest was disappointing. Shrimp and Scallops were woefully overcooked. Too much oil in the dish, so not a bunch of flavor. My wife had the Boscaiola which is a fairly simple dish. Again, the home made pasta was great, but this simple dish was a let down.

Best food we had on our long weekend in Hot Springs! Located less than half a mile from the Arlington, building is nondescript on the outside and showing it’s age a bit on the inside. But none of that matters because the food and the service is truly outstanding! I ordered the lamb off the menu and it was the best lamb I’ve ever had. Hubbie ordered the venison special and it was delicious as well. Wine list is short but well thought-out and well priced. When we visit Hot Springs again, we will definitely go back to Park Avenue Bistro.

We decided to come here for an early Valentine’s date based on Unilocal reviews. This is some of the best food I’ve had in the state! To start we had fried green tomatoes and potato leek soup with crab meat. For entrees my husband got the special, potato encrusted Chilean Sea Bass with potato stuffed tortellini and I got a mushroom, tomato pasta dish(pasta is made in house to order). Everything was to die for. We ended the meal with canolis and chocolate lava cake. The wait staff was very attentive. He even called the hotel shuttle for us. And when the shuttle didn’t show, the chef personally drove us back to the hotel! I cannot say enough good things about the food and service. This is a definite must whenever we are in town from now on.

Hours on Sunday: brunch 11:00 to 2:00 and then reopen for dinner at 4:30. I was so disappointed on Saturday when I got to the restaurant mid-afternoon and it was closed. So, I vowed to get there today after a walk around the Hot Springs National Park and was almost disappointed again. I noticed a closed sign on the door but tried to open it anyway and voila! The hostess said they were in the process of closing but allowed me to have a seat anyway. I chose the three-course prix fixe lunch that turned out to be one of the best fine dining experiences I have ever had! I chose the Fried Green Tomatoes with fresh mozzarella and balsamic vinegar followed by Pan seared Chilean Sea Bass with parsnip purée on a bed of sauteed spinach and carrot sauce and for dessert the Vanilla Panaccota with berries. The wait staff was superb! I only wish I had asked to meet the chef because he truly deserved praise! If I ever make it back to Hot Springs this will be on my list of must do’s.

Honestly, on our visit to Arkansas, I wasn’t expecting amazing food, but I definitely found it at Park Avenue Bistro! Came here to spend our $ 50 off(when you spend $ 100) coupon from . Search for the coupon under«Bohemian Bistro»(it’s former name I guess) there and grab one before you go because you will pay for how scrumptious this food is! Food: I got a house salad to start– it was decent but nothing out of the ordinary. My mom got the spinach salad, which had WAY too much dressing on it(skip it). My sister and I both opted for the filet mignon for our main dishes, and my mom got the shrimp alfredo fettucini. Both were AMAZING! Our steaks were cooked perfectly, and came with a very flavorful, enhancing sauce. The mashed potatoes were great(made better when dipped in the sauce), and I even liked the mushrooms(which I usually don’t eat!). My mom’s pasta was delicious — the noodles just the right consistency, not overly saucy, and filled with extremely large, succulent shrimp! Her meal was so large, she ate it later as a snack AND for lunch the next day. We finished our meal with the lava chocolate cake(make sure to order this before you finish your meal as it takes 10 minutes for them to make it!) — it was a nice ending, but couldn’t compare to the amazing main course. In sum, service was great, ambiance was decent, and the food was spectacular — definitely check it out!
