Walkabout Beach Resort

Beautiful stay! We had 5 days vacation at this hotel with my mom. We had 2 separate rooms, with 2 separate beds (bed and big folded sofa). Just 2 steps from the beach, we enjoy the ocean view the whole day!
Staff is very friendly, answer all the questions, answer e mails fast.
Would be stay here again next year!

Stayed here for three nights on a family vacation and the view to the beach is AMAZING. This is the beach strip to relax and soak up the sun. The reason I gave it a 3 stars is because it didn’t have a pool, jacuzzi, bbq or a kitchen and food there can be pricey (as well I was told all keys are accessible to all rooms!!! What happened to privacy)

This review is of the Tiki Bar that they have, not the actual hotel. The bar has the best prices on the beach, hands down. A great place to meet the locals. Happy hour beers only $ 2.

Wanted to stay at the Marriott (for the rewards program) but they were sold out. Marriott recommended this little pink motel next door and I couldn’t be happier. This is where I’ll stay going forward anytime I come to Hollywood Beach — forget the points!

Great experience from check-​in to check-​out! Everything was wonderful… Don’t expect state of the art amenities… that’s not what this place is about, but if you are seeking 1960’s Florida… this is the place!!! Will most certainly return!

I wouldn’t call this so much a hotel as I would a B&B or something — there are only 8 units on the entire property and if you didn’t know it was there it’s sandwiched so closely to the two properties beside it that if you blinked you might almost miss it.
It’s also basically a full one bedroom apartment complete with kitchenette, dining room, and foldout couch. I personally love this kind of setup for the beach especially. You’re probably not there to eat at amazing restaurants and you won’t be out all day sightseeing, so it’s great to have the flexibility that a refrigerator and a hot plate afford you. The apartment itself is lovely, beachy yet modern, clean and updated.
The location of this place is unbeatable. You literally walk right out of your apartment (that’s right, that’s what I’m calling it) door, go ten paces and you’re on the boardwalk. go ten more paces and you’re on the sand. We couldn’t have asked for a better base camp for our beach weekend (which took place over 4^th of July). Usually you’re stuck trekking out everything you might need out to the ocean at the beginning of the day and then once you’ve had a few beers resorting to peeing in the ocean because your hotel room is on the 18^th floor half a mile in from the beach and half a mile deep into your hotel. Not the case here — best set up ever.
My one gripe was the AC in the living room. Now, I understand that the apartment has full ocean view and a lot of windows, but if that’s the case you need to install a larger or stronger AC in there if you expect anyone to sleep on that pull out sofa. We alternated between the 3 nights, and each time whoever was on that couch woke up sweating and miserable. Be wary of this when booking rooms. It’s definitely not enough to keep me from coming back… but hopefully they’ll have it fixed by the time I make another trip over there.

This Hotel is literally on the Hollywood boardwalk about 10 steps from the sand. It’s a small hotel with only 8 rooms, so don’t expect all the amenities of a Hilton or Marriott but you get the feeling like you own a condo at the beach. We rented here for 4^th of July weekend and it was amazing, we were able to see fireworks on the beach 15 steps from our front door. You can spend all day on the beach without having to worry about carrying all your stuff home or even up a large hotel. Restaurants and bars are all within walking distance, in fact the hotel even has a tiki-​bar if you don’t want to walk. The room was very modern and cozy, with a kitchenette, 1 bedroom and 1 sleeper sofa. 2 Flat Screen TVs, and free-​wifi included.

Le Walkabout Beach Resort est directement situé sur le Broadwalk d’Hollywood en Floride. Le personnel y est très accueillant. Son style Art déco lui donne un charme indéniable. Les chambres y sont en fait de petits appartements avec une chambre séparée d’un vaste espace séjour et repas. Une petite cuisine et une salle de bain complètent le tout. C’est idéal lorsque l’on séjourne plusieurs jours.
Cet hôtel comporte quand même quelques défauts: les appartements sont vieillots et la salle de bain, comme la cuisine sont un peu défraichis. Le bar Tiki est bruyant et né ferme qu’à 11 heures le soir.
Malgré cela et que la connexion internet était défectueuse, nous avons apprécié notre séjour et la proximité de la plage suitée juste devant l’hôtel.

This small boutique hotel has lovely rooms, bright and airy and a perfect location right on the beach in Hollywood, FL. This is one of those great little gems that you come across rarely but when you do come across a place like this you are completely happy.
I would recommend this small hotel to anyone visiting Florida.
