Sea Downs Apartment Motel Reservations

We rented a 1-​bedroom corner apartment on the 2^nd floor facing the beach. The view out all 3 windows was of the ocean, just steps from the beach and boardwalk. Sea Downs also has a pool which was a nice addition since we weren’t sure our son would like the ocean. The pool was just fine, although it didn’t face the beach but rather was behind the building. The A/​C in the apartment worked so well we found ourselves turning the temp setting up. There’s free WIFI.
The apartment was extremely clean and well maintained. The king bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels appeared new (er). The small kitchen was fully stocked with stove, toaster, microwave, coffee machine as well as pots, pans, dishes, glasses & silverware. The fridge is full-​sized. The kitchen table doubled as our games table.
The couch opens into a futon where our 7-​year old slept. It wasn’t as easy to maneuver than we might have liked but my son seemed comfortable. There was a desk (we mainly used the drawers as extra storage) and a TV in the living room area, as well as 2 additional chairs.
The tub didn’t drain very well which initially we attributed to the age of the building. However, when it stopped draining altogether, we contacted the office. Leslie was very pleasant and sent someone right up. Bob (?) worked on it for at least an hour and thought that he hadn’t fixed the problem. We were offered the opportunity to move to a vacant apartment with pretty much the same layout but not the corner ocean view. We opted to stay since the water did drain after all, albeit slowly. Sue, who brings towels and empties garbage, is quite nice as well.
We were really pleased that we chose Sea Downs and would definitely come again. A few minor issues to note:
— Although the rattan furniture is well kept, the drawers are horrible. They don’t pull out straight and it’s too easy to pull them out when you just want to open one.
— As noted above, the couch/​futon isn’t very easy to use.
— Note that you need to send a check as a deposit an have CASH (or bank check) for the remainder when you arrive. The apartment we rented (in August) was just over $ 1,000 for 7 nites.

This is our 3^rd time vacationing here and it is the perfect place to stay on Hollywood Beach !!!
