I love this place and stay here every year with my family. There are not many places on the actual Broadwalk with pools but this one has one, small but nice. Also has a jacuzzi in the back and 2 bbq areas. The staff is nice, especially when you get to know them. Don’t expect housekeeping here, this is a time share. But the staff is there during normal business hours available if you need anything. They have upgraded the rooms. The atmosphere here is amazing! I will continue coming every year

My wife and I stayed in a studio. We knew upfront there would not be any water views from any studio at the«resort», only because I called to ask. The room was fairly small and very very dated. I mean just because it’s an old Florida style construction doesn’t mean you can’t put in new furniture does it? Kitchen was nicely equipped but the bathroom had one tiny tiny bottle of shampoo and a mini bar of soap with no possibility of extras, so bring some. The murphy bed took up half the living room when down and the mattress was as hard as a board. When booking here picture a motel 6 with an old couch, old chair and a kitchen. The pool is not hotel sized it is small even for a home pool, 5 people and it’s crowded. The staff was friendly, but not remarkably so. The saving grace was the location. Hollywood has a done a great job creating a tourist friendly atmosphere on their Broadwalk(not a typo). Nice selection of restaurants walking distance, and the beach was spotless. If not for the quality of the beach this stay would have been very disappointing.

«It’s a great place clean and comfortable. Heated pool hot tub outdoor grills. 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom condos. Spend a week with them. Had no complaints. We will return»

Love this place! We stay here every year and are never disappointed! Rooms always clean and smell great. Heated pool and hot tub. Soft bed, nice towels, and nicely utensiled kitchen. Music drifting in softly from the broad walk … Ocean right here, my idea of heaven!

The location right on the Broadwalk next to the Marriott could hardly be better, and the rooms and grounds are very nice and have a luxurious feel. However, we were less than thrilled by the customer service, especially given the price. Staff seemed suspicious and condescending — several items were missing from our room(dish soap, laundry basket, hangers, broom), and every time I reported this they tried to convince me that these things were there if I only looked hard enough… annoying, especially since you’re expected to do your own housekeeping(that’s right, room service is $ 15 extra/day). We booked last minute and had to switch rooms in the middle of our stay. During the switch, the front desk guy actually made my husband walk to the parking lot and retrieve the parking permit for room A, before he gave him the new permit for room B… like my husband is going to abandon wife and child and make a run for it with their awesomely exclusive parking permit??? Also, you are greeted by a binder full of rules and dont’s, which was off-putting. It’s a time share facility, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that as non-owners and mere hotel guests we were considered second class. We ended up here because the amazing Manta Ray Inn, q.v., was full, and I don’t think we’ll return to the Hollywood Sands.

First, this is a time share facility and there are several factors that have gone into my less than average rating. Most of it encompasses customer service. I came here(for one night) to meet up with some family before I headed back to the West Coast. My Aunt had called HSR ahead of time to let them know that I was coming and to allow for me to check in. So, I get to HSR around 1 pm. I had to interrupt a conversation(the persons chatting where clear that I was interrupting them) and gave my information. I was told the room was not ready and I should not have even asked because check out is not until 4 pm. The person behind the counter was incredibly rude and left me with little to no options in an unfamiliar place. To top things off I was faced with having to try and find parking as I would be unable to park in any HRS spots. I wound up sitting in my car for awhile trying to figure out what my next step would be. I decided to go back in and at try to obtain a map or some sort of direction as it relates to where to go(especially because it was raining). The good news is on my second time in I did not have to interrupt any ones conversation and the person behind the desk was much more helpful this time. The maintenance person came into the office and saw that I was trying to check in. He asked the person behind the counter what unit and it was identified that this unit was indeed ready to do. Huh… I tried REALLY hard to put it in a bubble and blow it away. I dropped my items off in the condo. The condo itself is pretty nice. There was a Murphy bed(that was actually comfortable to sleep on) and two FULL bathrooms which is quite nice. The place was extremely clean and the kitchen was moderately outfitted. I would have liked to have seen some sort of Ipod dock/stereo, but I guess the idea is to be outside enjoying the beaches. I walked around a bit. HSR has a very nice beach front that is a few short steps from the front of their property. There are bars and restaurants that are within walking distance. My family arrived later that afternoon. We all went to the store and got some goodies so we could come back to the room and catch up. In the middle of our catching up we received a call from the front desk. The front desk was upset that we had two cars parked in the designated HSR spot. We were only allowed one spot per unit. Something that was not mentioned at time of booking or upon my check in. We were to move one of the cars immediately or it could be towed at our expense. I could go on and on about how that night unfolded. Long and short I moved my car to a metered spot and pumped some quarters in. Based on the service I would probably steer clear of this place. Everything seemed to be such a hassle to them and I couldn’t understand why.
