Best pizza in the triangle area, never disappoints. The owner takes his craft from Long Island, NY to Holly Springs and this pizza is about as good as it gets. Highly recommended.

Recently stopped in here for a quick bite before the holidays and heard it was owned by New Yorkers and figured I couldn’t go wrong… WHAT A MISTAKE. Sauce tasted like it came right out of a Ragu jar & the pasta watery and mushy. My son had the pizza and said he’d had better from Dominos. We are Italian, so I know my Italian food. Then, to add to my disappointment, I witnessed the unprofessional behavior of the apparent owner of this establishment. With the way he talks to his employees, I’m shocked he has anyone working for him. If you’re in Holly Springs looking for Italian, look elsewhere, I will.

I think this is the place that made me realize Pokémon is still a thing with the kids. A group of kiddies at 2 sets of tables were playing with their cards on a Saturday night. I remember reading an issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly in 1998 with Pikachu on the cover and thought there was no chance this would ever end up being popular. I was wildly incorrect, my money was on Bubsy the Bobcat or Earthworm Jim remaining popular into 2015, but the main thing I remember best about Pokémon is that the monsters or Pokemon could only say their name, and judging by the way they enunciated or emoted that name, you could sort of figure out their emotional state. That takeaway was instrumental when I was at a movie theatre in Amsterdam earlier this year and had a choice to see Kingsmen or a movie about an opera singer in Dutch. It was an easy choice. So, a couple of things to take away from that first paragraph: kids are playing with Pokémon cards at several tables on a Saturday night so do not go out for a date night here unless you have every intention of jumping into your PJ’s after and have no intention of getting down to the business of getting down. The atmosphere is lacking and even if Ryan Gosling was a naughty waiter here it wouldn’t stir things up. What you get here is a high quality, best-in-the-area pizzeria and Italian restaurant. This is the best one so far out of the ones I’ve tried which include most of the major ones on Unilocal even if I haven’t written reviews on them. The chicken parm and pasta is the closest you can come to back home on Long Island. No reservations are taken, so first come first serve and lines do tend to form on the weekends. The salads were also fresh and delicious, and I couldn’t help but feel jealous when looking at everyone else’s table to see what they ordered. We have had a couple of pasta dishes which were superb and the orders are large and appetite-filling. Good Italian food is universal, just like understanding emotions from Pokémon or foreign films where you don’t have the slightest understanding of the language. What are you waiting for… bon appetit!

Riccis Pizzeria is not what I expected at all, I walked in expecting a small dining area and a pizza place that was more for takeout. What I got was a decently sized pizzeria with seating available both inside and out. They also have several TV’s that were showing all of the popular games. Beer Selection: Fat Tire, Blue Moon and 2 Brueprint seasonals which were Pale Brue Eyes and Brunette. I love Brueprint so I went with the Brunette Brown Ale. For food we started off with an order of 6 garlic knots, I smothered mine in the butter and garlic then topped it with marinara and thought that they were tasty. Next I ordered the Penne alla Vodka and Boyfriend ordered the Calzone with Eggplant. The Penne alla Vodka was delicious but I am also a sucker for creamy pink sauce. As far as Boyfriend’s calzone tasted it was okay, I would opt for a different flavor combination next time and with all of the chewy cheese it made it tough to eat. I would want to try one of the Eggplant pasta dishes next time instead. Next time I will definitely be ordering a pizza, I was watching everyone come in for takeout and the boxes were huge so I am hoping it will be fantastic.

Everything was just fine. We had good service, good food too. The garlic knots were delicious and we thought the pizza was ok. Cheese pizza seemed extra greasy. Overall, it was a good experience– I just wouldn’t say they had the best pizza.

The best pizza in town! Went to another pizza in town tonight and was very disappointed. All the food here is amazing! We will NOT go anywhere else from now on.

The best pizza, calzones and Italian staples in the area and it’s right by home! We have been going almost weekly for over a year, and we have never had a bad or even so-so meal or bad service. As a native New Yorker, I missed a good pie(which is hard to get in NY now) but not anymore. And each time I take my first bite, it’s always the same: «this is soooooo good!» The huge calzones are almost two meals, and I have to say they are the best I have had anywhere! I am convinced that Ricci is a perfectionist because it has always been perfect!

We love Riccis! The owner is amazing and the food is as well. Best NY pizza around and great garlic knots. We went in one night just before closing and my husband decided he wanted a chicken roll. They went in the back fried up a piece of chicken and baked in fresh dough. We won’t go anywhere else!

A busy neighborhood spot with great food. On the plus side, I’ve never had a bad meal here. It’s quite good. On the minus side, there is no «atmosphere». It’s more like a sports bar, with TVs on the wall. I prefer a quiet place, which is why I make this note. You like TV and sports? You’ll enjoy this place! Occasionally it gets so busy that there is a long wait for a table, and the staff gets overwhelmed. Tonight we had an appetizer sampler, with eggplant rollatini, cheese sticks and calamari. Cheese sticks are cheese sticks, but the other items were delightful. We each had an entrée salad, my partner an antipasto and me a Caesar. His was classy, with rolled up cheese and salami over greens and olives. Mine was delicious. The grilled chicken had been marinated in something tasty, the dressing had real anchovy in it and even the croutons were on point. This place deserves a nicer building, because their food is a cut above the strip mall in which it’s located.

I just moved to Holly Springs and walked into Ricci’s today as an afterthought on a trip to the grocery store. I’m so glad I did! First, the owner is a fellow Long Island ex-pat — one who makes a damn fine pizza! I had the 2-slice lunch special and the slices were hot, large and delicious. I look forward to bringing my hubby and 4 kids in for dinner sometime soon. Also, the owner was extremely kind and gave my baby daughter a garlic knot. Which was a 10 out of 10, FYI. Mangiamo!

Had dinner last night with sister and brother-in-law. The are locals and I was visiting the area. It was our first time dining at Riccis. We ordered pizza and the chicken dish. Side salad was very plentiful and tasty. Brother-in-law stated his Chicken dish prepared as he ordered(without dairy) was delicious and our pizza was reminiscent of that we had in NJ. The owner Ricci and his lovely daughter(Sabrina) who was our waitress came by the table often. Service was excellent as both doted on us the whole time we were there. Now that is customer service. To top things off… they brought us a complimentary serving of Italian Doughnuts. SaleebScore: Food: 9⁄10; Service: 10⁄10; Ambiance 7⁄10; and Value 10⁄10

My brother was visiting the area and was hungry for pizza. I researched pizza restaurant reviews and this place had great reviews so we checked it out on a Saturday night. We were greeted at the door with a smile and offered a very roomy and clean table. Menu prices were very reasonable. Gluten free penne available. Side salad was a good portion with dark greens and fresh tomatoes and cucumber. I split a pizza with my brother and they accommodated our request for different ingredients on each half. The spinach was fresh and the ricotta topping I chose was nice and creamy. The crust was flavorful and crunchy. Everything tastes so fresh. Restaurant was very clean, not noisy and several big screen TVs. Server was very friendly and attentive. The warm Italian donuts with strawberry dipping sauce was a perfect ending to the meal. Easy parking and close to other stores.

Food is good. Is not consistently good. Service is very disappointing. We used to go on a regular basis as a family in the hopes that the quality and service improved but that was not the case. We have decided to go elsewhere after our last experience eating here.

This place is adorable and super tasty. It’s not your average hole in the wall. To start, the garlic bread is a great bang for the buck. Both times we’ve gotten them they have been right on point. The lady friend LOVED the Penne alla Vodka. It is true to her heart and ranks #1 as the best PAV she’s had. She does think it comes with a bunch of sauce… so she would suggest asking for light sauce, unless you like a small pool when you’re done. I on the other hand split a pepperoni pie with her father. I’m no light weight and only could throw back two pieces after the garlic bread. Great combo if you ask me. The pie was very flavorful for being a pretty basic setup. It’s very NY style and drips with delicious grease. The wait staff has always been super friendly and quick to the punch. I look forward to my next visit. If you’re ever in the area, definitely check this place out.

Sorry to say it but I’m glad that Rudinos closed and this place went in. MUCH better! True NY style pizza. The«grandma’s» pizza is our family’s favorite. It’s like a step up from a Margherita pizza.

Went out to lunch with the wife and son today. Meant to go to Rudino’s but instead discovered that it is now Ricci’s Pizzeria. Rather than pick a new place for lunch, we decided to give it a try. It was a good decision too. The staff was super friendly, the pizza was top notch(ordered the bacon and tomato) and the atmosphere was nice(I might even use the word classy to describe it). Much better than Rudino’s. Needless to say, I’ll be back to this place. It’s a great find!

When looking for pizza, there’s nothing quite like a NY style pie cut into 8 huge slices! The Ricci special with added jalapenos was pretty darn good, albeit a bit greasy. The wings were tangy and tasty, but despite being advertised as HOT, they were actually pretty mild. Service was prompt, and we did not have to ask for refills on drinks. Our server was personable as was store management. Plenty of TV’s around the dining area to watch Football, Basketball, or whatever other sport is on at that moment. I’ll have to bring my family out here when they decide to come out to Fuquay with me to see if they like it as well!

Maybe you’ve noticed that the size of wings has been trending upward as chickens today sometimes look like they have been sourced from the island of Dr Moreau. I imagine the doctor feeding his chickens and then gleefully discovering that an unsuspecting linebacker has been shipwrecked on his island. Mwahaha. Voilà! A beefy linebacker-chicken hybrid with wings like cannons! Well… maybe not quite, but I did find ginormous juicy chicken wings at Ricci’s. I pictured heavy chickens strutting around with bulky thighs and meaty wings wearing helmets and jerseys as I admired the impressive display of wings and drummettes on my hubby’s plate. I had to try one. Wow! Lots of juicy meat and the sauce was delicious. On my first visit to Ricci’s when the restaurant had only been open a week or so, they had just added homemade soup to the menu. So recently that they didn’t have soup spoons. Our charming server offered both a teaspoon and a serving spoon. There was nothing in between. I chuckled at the growing pains of a brand new restaurant. The pasta fagioli on my first visit was tasty; but, the chicken orzo on my second visit, three weeks later, was fantastic. Big chunks of carrots, celery and plenty of chicken. And, the spoon was just right. Hefty portions too, I might add. The penne with broccoli was loaded with garlic, and I mean loaded. Both the broccoli and the pasta were perfectly cooked. Loved(!) the generous amount of minced garlic in this simple yet flavorful dish. Ricci’s is a pizzeria and it feels like one but the soup and pasta dishes really add some nice variety to the delicious pizza. Six flat-screens in the open dining area and the kitchen is visible. Overall, Ricci’s gets a solid 4+ stars as a pizzeria with good variety and ginormous wings.
