I’ve been to this restaurant twice now. The first time I ordered a small pizza and wings. My wife and I both commented on how awesome the wings were. They were crispy on the outside yet moist on the inside and the homemade sauce was great. Our second visit was not so enjoyable. I ordered a large pizza and wings for pick up. After a rather long wait time I picked up our food and returned home. When I got home I was appalled by the look of the wings. The bones were broken and the meat was obviously over done. I decided to try one and it was just as I had thought so I decided to call the manager to let him know about my experience. After explaining to the manager what I was looking at in my box of take out he simply asked me ‘What do you want me to do about it?’. I responded that I didn’t think I should have to pay for the wings given they were inedible. He offered to put my name on a list for free wings next time, which I found to be alarming. Really? You have a list of all the people who have complained about the food? I decided that I would rather him take the price off of my current order or process a credit for the wings to my card. He agreed. Unfortunately for me, the credit never showed up on my card statement. I didn’t call back to complain because it isn’t worth the hassle. I certainly don’t need my name on the list since I won’t be going back. Had they processed the credit I might have considered a second chance given how good it was on my first visit. If you are the owner of this restaurant and you happen to read this review, I’d strongly urge you to get an adult in your place to manage all of the kids that work their. You need some quality control and accountability for the way your staff prepares food and interacts with customers.

Delicious pizza option in Holly Springs. Food is consistently good and so is the service. My favorite is hands down the Everybody’s pizza, it is so tasty!

Have visited Homegrown a few times because their pizzas are great! We usually get the Hawaiian. Once ordered the sandwiches and weren’t too impressed with them or the sides. We will stick to ordering the pizzas.

I’ve been going to Home Grown for about 5 years now. I’ll be the first to admit that their service has never been a reason for return, but their food is what keeps me coming back. First, you can tell it’s a popular spot because it’s always packed during typical meal times. Second, everything is made in house. From the ranch/blue cheese, to their buffalo sauce: it’s all house made. I’m a big fan of their pizza, and I love their fries. Their wings are good, but I don’t get those too often. Something you should get that’s not listed on the menu: buffalo shrimp.

Visited this place twice now. Service was must better this time around. I honestly came back for their bleu cheese dressing. It is AMAZING. Order anything you can with it. I also ask for extra to take some home for myself. The pizza is great, the sandwiches are great. I’m not a fan of the fries, they remind me of McDonalds. But I will definitely be back for more dressing and pizza!

My favorite holly springs area pizza joint. Excellent specialty pizzas! Small dining area and the service is excellent.

Delicious pizza. Nice server. However I wouldn’t recommend coming unless you have extra time. Very understaffed and slow this afternoon.

Really casual, seat yourself place. Pizza was good and decently priced. We ordered nachos for appetizer and they were extremely average. Basic tortilla chips with shredded cheese melted on them, topped with mounds of onion and tomato. We got chili on the side. Will stick to pizza from there as we really enjoyed it. Perfectly cooked, bottom wasn’t burnt at all

In my opinion, if you go to Homegrown order a pizza. Great pizza! Real nice staff but for whatever reason service is always slow. We’ve gone back many times and will continue to support our local businesses.

New to the area, I came here with my wife and infant son to get a quick bite after work. The Caesar salad had a vinegary dressing that we both enjoyed a lot. We split a calzone(chicken philly) which was pretty good– but I would order something different next time. Service was quick, it was comfortable and we enjoyed the food, but I won’t say it was unique or especially different. The salad was really good though… I definitely have to return for that.

service was awesome. Yummy house blue cheese and ranch dressings. Canzone was very big and cheesy! Food was great but the service and politeness of the employees is why I am giving home grown 5 stars! Also the atmosphere was very comfortable and casual. If in Holly springs and looking for a casual dining experience and some dank blue cheese. check this place out.

Service was a big issue as there was none. The pizza was dry and could have used more sauce and the main issue was that the pie was all crust. It had to have at least 2 – 3 inches of dough around the edge. Not sure if i would give it another try or not. i would still recommend Marco’s Pizza if they come to Holly Springs.

I ordered a cheese pizza with mushrooms on half; I bumped my original two star rating up to three stars because they got my order right and showed me the pizza when I picked it up to make sure of it. The service was fine, they weren’t super friendly but they definitely weren’t rude. I ordered pizza to go so I can’t say much about the atmosphere, but it seemed like a good place to go with a larger group that might get loud or have a lot of kids that don’t have the best manners in a restaurant. Now, let’s get to the pizza … It wasn’t very good. It was cold by the time I got it home(I picked it up a little later than when it was supposed to be ready so that’s probably my fault) and the cheese was very thick but not in a way that I cared for. The mushrooms were fresh and not canned, so that’s a plus! My kids ate it and enjoyed our pizza night, no complaints from them! I just think that next time I’m in that area there are too many other pizza joints to choose from so I don’t see myself ordering take out from them again. Can’t say I’d rule out eating there one night with the kiddos though since the atmosphere seems very laid back.

The fries were stone cold. Love the blue burger but the service is mostly interesting in tips. I don’t know why I subject myself to this place but the local vicinity is drawing but always disappointing. Better alternatives available in the local Area. Good luck caveat emptor!

Neighborhood spot, wanted to like it, but… Convenient location but bad at the same time(generic office building) — but they serve alcohol so … plus. Hard to beat a place IN the neighborhood, but it just felt depressing, beer list – meh. Pizza. Decent. Pasta… Watery. May give it one more shot, of so, will update review.

In an odd location, with an entrance in a building lobby, is a pizza restaurant probably like that found in many small towns. With stained concrete floor, wood booths and tables, gold and brick walls, a small outside eating area, open space and green grass visible from the windows, it has a family-feel. There’s several TVs and also wi-fi available if mother nature isn’t your thing. The pizza at Home Grown is good. The crust is hand-tossed — neither too thick nor too thin. It’s not a traditional NY style if that’s important, but it is good — even for someone guilty of pizza-toppings-only eating. The toppings are where Home Grown stands out. They don’t skimp on them. The first time we ordered a Greek pizza containing artichoke hearts. They weren’t chopped pieces of artichoke, either. The pepperoncini added a tangy bite to the feta. The House pizza, another choice sans-meat(surprisingly), is also a winner. On the other hand, the twists, a bread-stick, are nicely baked but otherwise bland despite the garlic oil and parmesan. The marinara sauce is decent though. The employees, while not exactly bursting with enthusiasm, and in one instance brusque, were okay — but I suspect it may be more because both times we arrived early in the shift and they weren’t quite yet in the work frame of mind. Continuing with the odd, Home-Grown serves Larry’s beans coffee as a beverage choice. I haven’t met too many people who like coffee with pizza, calzone, salad, burger, sandwich or bar-style appetizers — all of which are offerings on the Home-Grown menu — but it’s good to know they offer a fair trade choice. A bit of the old-school vibe of Home-Grown might be the video game near the entrance. With several retro 80s Atari games on it(pac-man, dig-dug, etc.), it’s a flashback to the time when pizza places like this were still the small town hang-out place.

We got a gift card as a gift(go figure) and wanted to use it up. Order a pizza, salad, etc from them to burn the value of the gift card… Everything was just pretty darn mediocre… The pizza was nothing special, ingredients were just meh… The salad, was pretty meh Overall, I felt pretty meh. I had to give the Meh ranking

Like Tonya said, can’t believe other Unilocaler’s haven’t suggested this place. A friend said this is a place has the best burger he’s ever had. That’s quite a recommendation so I thought why not give it a try. Granted, burgers are not what I would think of with the word«pizza» in the business name, but what the heck. First off, it was a little tricky to find as it’s at the entrance to a subdivision I’m not familiar with that has a few commercial businesses in it. Plus I’m not from the general area. Anyway, once we figured that out in we went. It’s relatively small place with about ten booths and several tables with a little bar area off to the side. They have flat screen TVs in each corner always playing a few sports channels. I’ve been there twice, both mid Saturday afternoon, and it’s very laid back, just a smattering of customers. So, the menu has quite a few choices,(including pizza with tons of topping choices and even ribs) but we were there for the burgers. The patties are handmade and sizable. Both times the burgers were just a little dry so next time I’ll be sure to ask for it medium so it’s juicer, but the flavor of the meat is very good. They come on a kaiser roll, which is a nice touch. I’ve had the Homegrown burger with cheese, bacon and caramelized onions, but there was only a handful of the onions, so not as tasty as I’d hoped for. This last time I tried the BBQ bacon cheeseburger, which is very tasty and the BBQ sauce had a perfect tang and smokiness to it. The burgers come with fries or you can get potato salad or a salad for a little extra. One thing you won’t see on the menu are onion rings, but they do have them and if that’s something you like be sure to order them. Some of the best I’ve had and when you bite into them the whole onion slice doesn’t come out like it does in some rings. I saw an order of wings go by and they looked really great! Might have to give them a try next time. Looks like they even have brunch on Sunday’s. So, the burgers are quite good, but not the best I’ve ever had. Nonetheless, I will go back as the meat is quite tasty and the place has a pretty nice vibe. I’d probably skip the fries next time and get a salad now that I know the ranch dressing is homemade, which I had with the onion rings.
