Had lunch here with my mom and husband for the first time. All three of us got food poisoning. My mom had the chile verde combo plate and my husband and I each had the chile rellano combo plate. I would never eat here again.

The place was nice and big. Very clean and staff is friendly. Food was good but unfortunately I got food poisoning from eating the chili verde combo plate. My kids didn’t get sick only me.

My boyfriend was dying to bring me to this restaurant. The dishes are bigger then my torso. He ordered a chile verde combo dish and all flavors were balanced and enjoyable. The pork was moist and chopped up nicely for fine bites. I ordered the fried mojarra plate. I enjoyed the actual fish but not the beans or the Spanish rice. The salad was meh and no dressing. The bathrooms were a weird experience. They evidently require keys and you must ask the cashiers. One cashier kept apologizing to me for the unorganized system they provide. I like honesty and it was a real relief she was aware that I was frustrated and acknowledged my frustration. I loved her for that! I will be returning as I enjoyed the homemade chile and the Aguas frescas. Loved the fresh guacamole. Loved the massive servings.

The wait time to get our food took forever but I have to admit the food there is delicious so I guess it kinda makes up for it.

Not too bad, order at a counter, return to same counter for your order. Place is HUGE, very clean, counter girl was very nice and very bilingual. I ordered the beef taquito combo with rice and beans, carnitas quesadilla, and a pineapple drink.$ 16. Pretty steep, but the quesadilla could be used as a blanket. Carnitas in the quesadilla was plentiful and not really flavorful, guacamole was delicious. The taquitos also had little to no flavor at all. Rice and beans were good, although not exactly hot. Missing from this entire equation? Salsa… none. nowhere to be found.

I have been here a few times and plan on going for dinner tonight. I love this place. First, the food is excellent. The tacos have a generous amount of meat and the quality is good. The wet burrito is gigantic and so tasty. I also recommend the fruit with the crema! The service is spot on, the ladies are friendly and attentive. Yes, you may have to wait since sometimes there is only one person running the front, but it is worth the time. I usually call ahead and my order is always ready and accurate!

You know when you’re in a hurry, in a unfamiliar city… and you don’t know where to eat. Well this is a great gem tucked away here in all places — HEMET! Went here last night with my Father, Brother and future Niece in-law. All I can say is it was DELICIOUS!!! Dad had the Carnita’s, given the option of the small street sized tortillas or the regular size corn tortillas, he opted for regular and it was more than enough food ordered two, took one home. My Niece in-law eats like a bird and had one street taco – yep she ate it all! My brother had the Chili Relleno combo plate, two rellenos, rice, beans – and love it! I wanted to try a relleno al carte, hard shell chicken taco and can’t resist a lengua taco – they had a big variety of lengua options, when cooked right can be tasty. This did not disappoint, all my choices were on point. But the Chili Relleno had to one of the best I have EVER had – my Brother agreed! We eat and cook a lot of Mexican food, so when a place makes us raise our EYEBROWS it’s a good thing! The only downfall and reason I didn’t rate 5 stars is that it’s RARE almost unheard of that when you go to a Mexican restaurant that the don’t give chips and salsa — they still charge. Bummer!

Ate the #5 chile relleno plate this afternoon and the Mr. had a wet buche burrito. It was delicious! We usually buy tacos across the street at the Los Altos Meat Market(they have a food counter in the back) so we wanted to try the restaurant for a change. The place was clean and there was sports on a huge tv playing so it wasn’t as quiet as some reviewers had previously said. We will definitely eat here again!

Los Altos is the type of restaurant where you order at the front counter and they being you your food. The food is pretty average Mexican fare. The dining room is clean. The place is quiet. Sorta has an empty feeling. Good for a quick meal, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Had the Garlic Shrimp plate. Not impressed. I’m mexican and have eaten at many places with camarones al mojo de ajo. No flavor in the shrimp and it appeared the shrimp came right out of a frozen shrimp bag. Not fresh at all. As far as the restaurant itself, I felt I was sitting in church. It was too quiet. They need ambient noise.

Have eaten lunch here about 5 times, and food has always been very good. Friendly fast service. You order and pick up at the counter, and they have a huge dining room. No soda fountain, but they do have bottled/canned sodas and also assortment of agua frescas. Plenty of off-street parking in the parking lot next door.

The food looks great and tastes… Amazing. I love the carne asada burrito, but the sopes have to be the best I have ever had. They even put fresh cheese and avocado per request. The ladies are excellent and they always fix my food exactly as I request. It is true its not a full service restaurant you have to go back to the counter and pick up your order, but if its slow the ladies are kind enough and they have always brought me my food and extra napkins or utensils. I just wished they would open a little later than 8. Some times I like to stay up and watch a late movie and I would love to stop by around 9 or 10 and grab some food. Hopefully soon

First time we went to this restaurant. We didn’t get any complimentary chips. The chicken and beef taquitos were good. You could tell they were home made, not frozen ones. The beef was tasty. Of the three of us, one plate had refried beans that were dry, but the other two were ok. My husband, a picky eater, brought his plate back because he didn’t want items in the beef tacos. They happily gave him a new order. We must have been there at a busy time and had to wait 10 minutes for our food. We will definitely go back.

Ordered a chicken enchilada meal and it was wonderful and AUTHENTIC. Cheesy, saucy and was plate-licking good. The waitress was attentive and sweet, and every so often a waiter or man would come by to refill our water. Great salsa picante. My date had some sort of a seafood entrée. He loved it. I’m not familiar with mexican seafood, but his plate looked good enough to pick off. They had good sized portions and we were both stuffed.
