So been back here a few times since first review. Went today for lunch to/​go orders of Asada Burros. Hmm, place changed name, raised prices, removed items off menu… two people working hard. Quality has gone down, weight of burro is lighter, yup we weigh them. Just didn’t have that WOW! factor anymore… it’s okay, but that’s all

I went here for the first time ever after reading all these reviews. I ordered the chilaquiles plate, with beans, rice & eggs. Plus a small drink for under $ 9. The establishment offered really good complimentary chips, with a variety of salsas to choose from. The restaurant was very clean, & the gentleman that took our order was very polite & accommodating. It’s great to find new places in downtown Hemet.

Great food. Just stopped in for a Breakfast Burrito which was outstanding. Their salsa bar had really good carrots and several different salsas. All tasted really good.
Definitely a be back. They have found a new customer who liked the food so much that I did a Unilocal review!

Five stars for this place, I went here on taco Tuesday and the customer service was great. The employees were attentive and personable. My tacos were done quickly and the price was great. The atmosphere is similar to any other taco shop.

This place was totally worth ruining my diet. I had the Surfer Burrito. Simple — Steak, Shrimp, and Cheese. Sounds plain, but it was so good. There definitely could’ve been more shrimp, but it wasn’t missed. The cheese was more like a sauce that was melted throughout the whole burrito. The steak was salted for a good rich flavor that wasn’t over powering for me. I would give this place 5 stars for this burrito alone, but considering it’s the only thing I had, I will upgrade to 5 stars if I order something else next time and it’s equally as good. Not saying I will order something different, but who knows…
This is a great hole in the wall that is off the beaten path.

Just found this place about a month ago. We’ve been here for lunch 4 times in the past four weeks and the food has been excellent. Had the Surfer burrito this past Thursday. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. The Surfer burrito was no run of the mill burrito. The ingredients were fresh, the seasonings were perfect and the taste and textures were outstanding.
They deliver to the small bar, After 5, which is located across the street. Have a margarita at After 5 with a large order of chips and guacamole and you won’t be disappointed.
El Gallito Taco Shop is our new go to place. Easy parking, easy ordering, plentiful seating, great food and good prices. We’ll be going here for lunch at least once a week.

The most underrated food joint in town. The tortas are just like Mom’s home cooking. All the flavor and freshness you would expect from savory Mexican cusine.

The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is it took awhile to get our food but it was well worth the wait. The salsa is amazing and the sopes were delicious. We also got a super burrito but we’re so full from the delicious sopes that we have not eaten it yet. Also, I must add that while we waited they gave us chips to much on while we waited. I would definitely eat here again despite the wait.

The tortilla for burritos is a little dry, but very flavorful. Kids love the quesadilla kids meal with rice & beans. I like the styrofoam cups, keeps the drink cold. Staff is very friendly & nice

Not sure if new owners or new attitudes. They gave me change in quarters. It was more than a few quarters. Some prices have changed and my burrito was a big floppy mess. I did notice new faces so it might have been a different crew working. Hope yall can come back strong.

So today after deciding NOT going to Rancho TG and Steve’s Jr and Taco ElRey we decided to try AGAIN 3rd time for here. First time we had B’fast bacon burro take home. Pretty good and fresh, reasonable price for 2 16oz burros ($ 3.29 ea). Good portions of egg, bacon, and shredded hash brown and some beans. Ordered as to-​go, so they were wrapped in paper AND foil. Take note Rancho TG. Nice, friendly, and appreciative employees.

The place to eat Mexican food I’ve been in town for like 9 years have tried every Mexican place here notting even comes close to these place 5Stars id order a Carnitas Torta my wifey order Chimichanga The best. Thanks to Unilocal found the spot for the future I will definitely recommend anyone to go eat here.

I came here sooooo many more times since the first time my family loves coming here for burritos and rolled tacos. They have really good rolled tacos, its my fav item ritenow. The enchiladas were great too. We tried the surfer burrito it seemed like it was missing something it was just meat and cheese kind of on the small side but still full of flavor. Great food.
Always great customer service. Great job guys!

This is a little hidden gem here in Hemet. I found this place on Unilocal and I frequent it once a week. If you love tacos, they won’t let you down. I prefer their hard shell tacos because they are quite a bit larger with plenty of shredded lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. Burritos here are huge so plan on taking half of it to go.

My first time here. A family owned and operated restaurant, and they are very nice! The place is spotlessly clean and very nice inside. If you are a fan of the roadside taco trucks you will love this place! They have all the basics, carne asada, carnitas… But they also have lengua and cabeza! My husband will be thrilled! They have a fairly large menu that looks really good but I opted for the tacos, wonderful street type tacos! Their salsas and sauces are fresh and very tasty. The prices are great too. I will be a regular here as it is right around the corner from where I work.
