JCPenney

This is the worst JCPenny’s ever! I had an employee tell me once I’d have better luck at a different Penny’s and I was just trying to find my husband a hooded sweatshirt. The women’s section is horrible too, I swear they get the regect clothes from the other stores there. I would say they cater to 55yr olds and older, but I don’t want to insult the hip ones. Lol

this is the smallest JCP I have ever been in, but they have a great selection in every department and I LOVE the selection in the women’s section.

You know, for being a JCPenny and in Hemet, it’s not too bad!
I was pleasantly surprised when I first moved here back in 09 and found out they had a nicer JCPenny here! I don’t come here often but I do love their clothing dept and I’ve always had great customer service here too. And honestly you can’t beat the prices either. Ever since they re-​vamped the brand, it’s definitely shown. They have a great kids clothing dept too.
Hey, for Hemet I can’t complain!

JCPenny has come a long way. They have recently changed the way they operate their sales and whatnot.
Instead of having different types of sales they have everyday low prices and clearance items! I think this has made the shopping experience SO MUCH better! The store is less cluttered and you aren’t reading those annoying little signs that tell you the new «sale» price. There are no gimmicks, just straight low prices, everyday!
It seems that they have cut down on some of the product they carry, which was also very helpful for them. The store is much tidier and easier to shop. I love it!
The Hemet location is of course still small and does not offer all of the things like the larger stores (like Temecula). There is no cosmetic or fragrance counter, but there is a small jewelry counter.
I used to absolutely HATE all of the JCPenny stores, this new way of business has really changed my mind about their stores! If you hated JCP before give them another shot!
The Hemet employees are friendly and willing to help. The checkout is always fast and easy! Great shopping experience!

The pictures are definitely not an accurate portrayal of Hemet’s JCPenney. I was born and raised in this city, so I bought many clothes at this store as a kid. The kids section really isn’t bad with their selection (at least a few years back) and I wouldn’t say the other clothes available are bad either.
But the store is not the best as far as building conditions go. The floors are old, the atomosphere just isn’t what these pictures are depicting. I think it’s unfortunate that JCPenney doesn’t consider some remodeling because a nicer, cleaner looking store would be more attractive for potential customers. A bigger venue would also be helpful because there is no way the company fits everything it has in other JCPenney’s into this one.
