The name is misleading. This is a boutique for women’s clothing and accessories, not a general store. Most of the clothing was not to my taste, and I was disappointed not to find the things I’d been looking for when I went in, as I went there specifically because it claimed to be a general store. However, I did find some cute warm gloves that I’ve been using for the past half year, so it wasn’t a total loss.

love this cute little shop! They carry all types of goodies. They even have an old school candy selection :) Mindy, the nice woman who worked there, was such a pleasure! I will always make a stop whenever I’m in Groveland :)

Not exactly what comes to mind when I hear the words«General Store.» When I think«general store» I imagine a no-frills shop that sells items like milk and laundry detergent and peanut butter and matches. This place, though, is more of a gift shop. Here you’ll find items such as glycerin rock soap, art work, shot glasses, and«Where the Hell Is Groveland?» t-shirts for sale. Iron Door General Store, located directly across the street from Iron Door Saloon, is worth a stop while in the itty bitty mountain town of Groveland, but I left here empty-handed last Friday.

This place sucks. I thought it was going to have cool souvenirs for Groveland/Yosemite, but it was like walking into a stale attic with random crap you would find at a lame drugstore. Maybe some stuff is okay to buy, like candles and whatnot, but that isn’t what people come to the area for. I especially thought the store would be bigger with more mainstream souvenirs(magnets, etc.) as it bears the Iron Door name, but I guess not!
