I suppose if you like proper tea this could be fun, but I didn’t enjoy neither the food nor the service. The sandwiches were not that flavorful, they were small, and the tea was Ok. For the price I would not make this my first choice in the area.

Wonderful little tea room on the way to or from Yosemite. Extensive list of teas: green, black, organic, caffeinated, caffeine-free etc. I had the organic masala chai, while my friend chose the white peach /cherry. The tea room itself is a charming place to have a quite lunch with friends. You can truly have a delicious«high tea» experience with the clotted cream and lemon curd, followed up with an assortment of freshly baked scones, mini quiches and finger sandwiches. Everything is artfully presented and extremely affordable. For those that want to take something to go, there is a made to order sandwich counter out front. They also offer coffee, espresso drinks etc. as well as gelato and baked goods. There is a small patio out front to enjoy your drinks and food and watch the world go by… Can’t wait to go back.

A little slow on service but they have almond milk. They have vegan items which is great! Can’t wait to come back and try the the pastries.

:My girlfriend said let’s go to Tea. I said, who me. Man, what will my friends say? Well, I tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. Have been there twice now. Great food and service. Guys don’t let the place fool you. I am impressed.

Not sure how this place has such high reviews. Amidst pretty much zero breakfast options in the area unless you want a microwaved egg sandwich or smoothies from concentrate, I am surprised that the businesses here don’t seem to want to up their game like fork and love did for dinner in terms of providing decent breakfast options for travelers. We also ate lunch here one of the days and the sandwiches were decent and on great bread, hence the 3 star rating though I would avoid for breakfast.

Really enjoyed my tea at this very cute little spot in Groveland! I got a Groupon for two people and had high tea… they allowed us to sit with our dog out on the cute patio. I had some of the best black tea called Cream. So good I bought some to go! I couldn’t eat all the food they brought out… started with ginger cookies with lemon curd, second course of great tea sandwiches(really loved the egg salad) and the scones, thumbprint cookies & strawberry short cake for sweets… great place & would love to come again & bring my mom :)

What a lovely little rest stop for lunch! A definite bonus if you’re lodging across the street at the Groveland Hotel. Great sandwiches and drinks. Very nice and cozy setting.

Good breakfast place in Groveland! There’s breakfast wraps and sliders with yummy biscuits. They also sell honey that’s delicious on the biscuits. It also has a tea room in the back if you ever want afternoon tea!

Came here for breakfast. I got the breakfast wrap($ 7 I think). It was a good amount of fried egg and bacon with tomato and spinach in a flour tortilla. It was a little small and not seasoned at all. Otherwise, it was a nice place to get a hot breakfast. My husband got the steak and egg sandwich for breakfast. He enjoyed it and it looked like a better option compared to my wrap, but it was also pricier. If I come back I’d like to try the quiche since they looked good and I didn’t know they could be an option during breakfast hours. Staff was friendly and it took awhile for the food to come out but there are a ton of things to look at in the store. They stock loose tea and sample bags in case you don’t want to buy a full size bag. When I came there were discount shelves. There are also selections of bottled sauces and honey. Many different tea pots and tea sets too.

Been to Dori’s a couple of times and each time the food was great and the tea was even better! Will definitely be back soon!

Cute little place especially for something different. Fun English tea and finger sandwiches. Plus they have full size salads and sandwiches if you want that also. I bought a groupon which was worth it — for two people. It’s a ways out there and not just freeway so it takes a little more time than it normally would. The town is very small and didn’t seem like there is much going on. But the place is cute and I would definitely try it out.

Stopped here after visiting Yosemite. A cute little place with a variety of options. We stopped here for breakfast but they were willing to offer lunch for us even though it was early in the morning.

I saw quiche posted and asked if it could be a breakfast item. I was told yes, in 15 min wait. It didn’t take that long, and their homemade quiche is excellent. The spinach and bacon was best, followed by ham and artichoke. My husband said the breakfast sliders needed salt, but were good otherwise. The manager who helped us the first day was friendly and helpful. The patio is nice for morning breakfast, and yes, the free WiFi is nice. This location was recommended by the owner we rented from during our stay. We ate here 3 days during our visit to Yosemite. I didn’t try anything else on the menu after I saw the quiche, since I can’t get it homemade where I live. Wish it was available by mail order!

Driving through Groveland this place claimed to be best on trip advisor. We walked in and were excited to order two sandwiches. The server did not seem to want to be there and didn’t seem particularly enthused to make food… Roast beef sandwich was something I could have made at my house in two minutes for half the price. Chicken salad may have been purchased from a grocery store. Skip the food here and go to firefall instead

My family and I are staying the week at Camp Mather near Yosemite, so we are completely off the data grid. I had to check in to my work a couple of times during the week, so was in search of WiFi access. My wife and I were in Groveland searching for some supplies and stopped at Dori’s to get some iced tea(many brewed flavors available). We loved it! I came back here a couple of times to do my work. The coffee is also great! I had a latte and and mocha. I had the Veggie Wrap for lunch. Freshly made and delicious. Also check out their yummy baked goods and gelato bar. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Since I was hanging out using their free WiFi for a few hours, they let me run a tab. Definitely a go-to stop for the future. I’m even bringing back an iced tea to my wife at camp(she likes the Black Currant… I’m partial to the English Breakfast).

Great place for breakfast. Biscuits and gravy, quiche, cinnamon rolls and breakfast wrap all great. Coffee and teas delicious. More reasonably priced compared to some other options in area. Great friendly service Insisted we relax!

Not sure why there are so many positive reviews of this place. Maybe if you just want tea and aren’t hungry, it would be good. We stopped here for lunch on our way to Yosemite and found it to be a big mistake. It is extremely overpriced with teeny, tiny portions. The portions are so small it seemed like a joke! Not even a full bowl of soup. And the quiche portion was about 3 ozs. We will never return and definitely search elsewhere if we are ever in Groveland again.

We really enjoy Dori’s Tea Cottage. We have had the full tea service in the back dining area multiple times and enjoyed it very much. It’s not cheap though and they do recommend reservations. The food and baked goods up front are good too though and it’s a great place for a quick sandwich. Gelato available to in interesting flavors and not super sweet.

We had been meaning to try this place for a while but then the Groupon came out and that prompted us to finally go, even though we didn’t make it until it was almost expired, ha. We had the offer in the Groupon and I like that it IS for two: two complete portions for both people, not just a large selection to share. I had the Paris, which was good but a little strong, and my mom had the cinnamon thing, I forget the name. It was good but too much cinnamon for me. Sadly, most tea places try to have the«classic» tea sandwiches like cucumber and cream cheese which, really, it isn’t all that great. The difference is when a place adds their OWN creations and they have quite a few. The chicken salad is super good, on par or even better than Tyme for Tea in Fremont. In fact, I got a chicken sandwich to go to share with my son later and he was amazed. The scone was warmed and to die for, got some of those to go too! The lemon dessert, amazing. On top of the food, the staff and owner(s) were friendly and helpful. There is a little store with tea accessories and a selection of teas as well as a little café where you can get some of the tea parlor items like sandwiches as well as breakfast and coffees. Definitely a diamond in the rough and we will be going back with my son and sister shortly.
