I left Yosemite early Saturday morning to beat the traffic, and waited until I saw this little place to stop and grab some coffee. I asked for an iced Americano, which was apparently new to them and took all their extra effort to figure out how to make it. What turned me off was the fact that the older woman didn’t even attempt to hide her mood about the extra effort it would take pouring an Americano over ice. There were two ladies behind the counter and about 6 people waiting inside. The younger woman was helpful and obviously trying to keep up with everyone’s order, while the older woman just couldn’t shake the RBF cemented on her face. I’d like to give them the benefit of doubt and just say that they were feeling the business of a Saturday morning — this is a pretty small shop afterall. I ordered a breakfast burrito too, and with the large drink my total was about $ 9. The bathroom is clean, the coffee is good and the burrito kept me full for the next two hours. Next time thought I think I’ll have to try the spot across the street; I don’t really like feeling like my business is a burden.

We picked up inexpensive food and coffee here on our way to Yosemite. Nice service, good coffee and very tasty veggie wrap that tasted great even after driving with us through the National Park.

Great coffee and muffins along with some very good customer service. Very friendly owner who obviously loves her business. While I wasn’t planning on the need for wifi while visiting the park, this place turned out to be a great place to drink good coffee while using the WIFI.

When going to a coffee café, I look for ambiance/vibe, customer service, quality baristas, and seating space/availability. So, on the way to Yosemite, stopped here and got a chai. As is the habit with most baristas, the first reflex my barista had was to give me my drink in a throw-away single use plastic container, which simply goes straight into a landfill. The barista, however, was very friendly and helpful. Nothing about this place feels like a coffee café and there is no unique, trendy, or interesting vibe. The place is kinda small but there was only one other customer so there were open seats. The chai was just fine – it’s pretty hard to get wrong milk, ice, and chai. The restroom was exceptionally clean :-)

A must stop on the way home from my climbing excursions in the Valley. The espresso is thick, dark and well roasted with excellent crema. Friendly service and interesting décor. The two Barristas were friendly, engaging and concerned about their craft. I had my espresso in a ceramic cup. I was pleased to see they did not use paper cups as paper cups and espresso are… incompatible at best.

there is nothing bad to say about this place, the coffee is perfect, the bagels are fresh, and the 2 friendly women that work there always have a smile on their faces. this is where the locals go, even tho i’m not one of them i do love the place!

After lunch next door, we stopped at the Iron Door coffee shop for a little pick-me-up on our final leg into yosemite. There were two gals behind the counter… but only one took our order and made the drinks… while the other just occasionally glanced up from her laptop with a «you are disturbing my surfing» look. Not sure she was an actual employee. The one latte, two mochas, and one hot chocolate were all made at the perfect temp for a young child. Too bad only one of the drinks was actually for a child. Not a lot of ambiance in the shop as far as places to sit and enjoy your coffee… unless there was something through the back that I missed. Oh…and I was astonished that our drinks came in styrofoam cups. They did have a recycling symbol on the bottom… but truly I felt dirty being so close to Yosemite and drinking out of styrofoam. Had I known… I either would have skipped it… or stayed around long enough to drink my coffee from a real cup. One additional full star off for styrofoam. I’ll Unilocal more about our Yosemite experience soon.

Really nice stop on the way to or home from Yosemite. They had caramel apples when I went and the woman who owns it is really friendly. I love small towns!

This review is a little relative, too, but it was a great stop on the way to Yosemite. Groveland is a cute little historic town you pass through and the drinks here were wonderful. Good selection of coffee, espresso, tea, café treats and even ice cream. The service was super friendly and pleasant. The inside wasn’t exactly trendy or café-cool in décor, but it’s fitting and pleasant for the area and is the perfect place to stop, about ½ hour or 45 minutes from Yosemite Valley(or about that). I shared a scone and it was really good, homemade. I was caffeined out, so got an orange creamsicle blended drink which was great. The coffee and tea my parents got was good. We all left feeling great and glad we went there. What else can you ask for???
