Visited for the first time on Friday night and we had a great experience. The service was very good– very friendly! The pizza was amazing – and the salad was so fresh and the side salad was generous for $ 4.99! We will definitely be back and often!

Nice people, clean place. Delicious pizza. Hand made right in front of you. Lots of fresh ingredients to choose from. Best bbq chicken onion pizza I’ve ever had. Bbq sauce is surprisingly spice! Which is amazing. I’m glad their opening up more.

this was my first visit of many I’m sure! This is the real deal not a big chain Neapolitan pizza. The crust is thin and tasty and the toppings are abundant and very fresh. Unlike similar concept pizza places, salads are equally made to order with abundant toppings and either splittable as an appetizers or as an entrée salad. I’ve been to many local pizza laces and thus was by far my favorite! I’m thrilled to have them in the area :)

I really enjoyed the pizza and the service that I got here. As soon as my co-workers and I walked in, the General Manager explained the process to us. The guy who put my pizza together was really friendly and put very generous portions of each ingredient onto my pizza. He even took the time to explain the different sauces and cheeses that they had. My co-workers and I joked with him that I was like Elaine from the Seinfeld Soup Nazi episode where I was taking too long to make a decision. This guy was the opposite of the Soup Nazi though and told me to take my time to decide. The GM came by our table later and even talked to us for bit. It’s really nice when the staff is so friendly — it makes you want to come back. He gave us a bunch of coupons to take back to our company and invited us back. We all decided we would definitely go back. There is a groupon($ 5 for $ 10) right now which is how much it is to get one of their specialty pizzas or a build-your-own pizza. There was no problem using the groupon at all. It’s a great deal and a perfect sized pizza for lunch. Also the restaurant itself is really clean and the tables are set up nicely surrounded by windows so you can people watch as you eat.

Fantastic crust. Lots of topping choices, and everyone in the family can customize however they like it. We thought it was better than Pie5. New favorite pizza in Northbrook/Glenview area!

Okay so I was in the area on a Saturday early evening when my family and I decided to stop by for some tasty pizza. I gotta say as far as deep dish my loves are Lous and Pequods and as far as thin crust I’m truly open to anything so I was open to trying out this place since we were close by. It’s super casual kind of reminds me of the Pot Bellys of Pizza where you order your stuff and then you get a number and wait for it. Well I wasn’t sure what to order so we got a few thin crusts, some focusing on less than spicy and some«spicy all the way with the hottest chilli peppers you can find» it’s $ 8 for one topping pizza and $ 10 for unlimited toppings. And the best part like pot Bellys, your pizza goes through that hot oven super fast and it’s ready right away. I really liked their crust, I almost wish they had some spicy aoli to dip the crust in because it was so tasty. Now I gotta say the pizza I got with just simple veggies, marinara and cheese was okay, it was a little on the bland side and I wouldn’t order those again. However the ones we gave an extra kick to, now those were tasty. It was good to eat in because my friend did take out and it gets soggy pretty fast from the condensation so I definitely suggest you eat in. So overall, as a foodie I wasn’t overly impressed but i thought it was a good fast food of pizza if you’re in the area and have the time to enjoy your pizza crispy inside. However, the employees and managers working there are super nice so my overall 3 star of the place goes up to 4 stars because of how nice everyone was. So thank you for that, it’s nice that they care about customer service even in a fast food type of environment! Hats off for that. Good luck to them, I hope they succeed!

I really enjoyed my food. The pizza I had was slightly superior to another similar restaurant. My primary complaints aren’t about the service or food. The sun was really intense coming in through the giant bay windows facing Milwaukee Ave. If the tables near the front of the restaurant are taken, there’s nowhere to hide. Some shades or curtains would be a nice addition. Also, the layout of the parking lot is HORRIBLE. It’s as if it was added as an afterthought. Not the restaurant’s fault… if anything, it’s a result of the awkward shape of the building. It is something to consider, though. I’m still looking forward to going back!

I met a friend here for dinner after work and we had a great time. I was a bit confused when I first entered as to how this place worked, but we were quickly greeted and the employee explained our options. It’s basically delicious pizza with a Chipotle-like set up. You walk in and choose the kind of pizza(or salad) you want. For pizza, you choose your crust(regular or gluten free), your sauce, and your toppings. One topping is $ 7.99 and their specialty pizzas or your choice with unlimited toppings is $ 9.99. I went with the unlimited option and loaded my pizza up with cheese, artichokes, mushrooms, peppers, block olives, and soppresata. My friend and I also ordered a standard chopped salad to share. We ended up eating almost the whole salad and a bit of our individual pizzas. I had way more than enough left for lunch the next day. You could order to go, but we stayed and chatted for quite a while. The ambiance was nice — kind of an industrial modern vibe, with a cool iron spherical chandelier over the seating area. The employees were great as well, checking on us even though there isn’t waiter service. Our empty plates were taken from our table and we were brought boxes for our leftovers. We ate dinner and had lunch the next day for about $ 15, which I find to be very reasonable. I think there’s a groupon running right now too, and we were given buy one, get one half off coupons with our pizzas as well. We’ll definitely be back to redeem one of those deals soon!

We tried it for the first time tonight. Really friendly staff greeted us and explained how the whole process works. You pick your crust, sauce and ingredients and then watch it melt and crisp up in the big oven. They call it neapolitan style. To me it was like new york style. Not a cracker crust. This had a crispy chewy crust. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. I got the Mediterranean. One of their own recipes. But I had them throw on some pepperoni to offset all of the veggies. Carlos, the General manager walks around and greets the customers. Its good to know that they have that extra attention to detail. Overall an excellent experience and pizza. We’ll be back.

I came for a quick lunch. The pick your ingredients pizza was a reasonable size and service was excellent. Although you can have as many toppings as you want, they are quite stingy on the amount of each, so I had to keep asking the lady behind the counter to add more. The restaurant itself is clean and attractive.

Pizza was awesome! Best pizza around Glenview. Each pizza is a good size for one person with a big appetite. We got two pizzas and a salad to share. Couldn’t finish it all. Everything is super fresh. Very cool set up, kinda like chipotle. the ingredients are all out for you to see and select at the counter. Pizza is done in about two minutes. Staff was super friendly and made some great suggestions. This will be our new go to pizza place.

Solid place for quick pizza. All the ingredients were fresh and the pizza was pretty good. It doesn’t really compare to your mom and pop pizza place but this place would be good for lunch and or a quick bite to eat. It has a Chipotle/subway feel to it. I do agree with the other Unilocalers that extra ingredients(when they are unlimited) are somewhat ignored.

Great pizza at an affordable price. Friendly staff and fast service. The pizza was fresh tasting and cooked to perfection in the wood oven. We had a pepperoni, mushroom, jalapeño, mozzarella pizza and a meatball, giardinare mozzarella. Very clean with ample parking. Recommended A+

Not happy. I ordered a pizza to go with arugula and EXTRA basil. Was charged $ 9.99(which is what they charge for UNLIMITED toppings) however when I opened the box at home, there’s no arugula at all and it looked like they cut up literally 2 basil leaves into small pieces and spread it on the pizza(see pics posted). It sucks bec they’re conveniently located from where I live.

Tried Wood grain for first time tonight. Two pizzas and salad. Fresh made pizza as you walk alone with the pizza maker. I got the listed sausage and roasted red peppers while the other was a special pizza with ranch dressing as the base then the balance of the Mediterranean pizza. Both cooked perfectly in about two minutes. Request do not cut if you are taking it home. Holds up better plus they provide a special pizza liner in carry out box. Kept pizza from getting soggy. Additionally we had the Mediterranean salad. Enough for two. We shared salad and each ate half the pizzas saving rest for tomorrow . We, ll be back. For a fast pizza joint this is worth the trip.

This a one month old business and looks to be a competitor to Blaze Pizza and their pizza business model. Unlimited toppings pizza here goes for $ 9.99. The new dining space looked clean and comfortable. We had a grand opening promotion for 50% off and tried their sriracha BBQ chicken pizza to go. Pizza taste was ok, but the crust was quite soft and bready, much like a pita bread after their short 2 – 3 minute baking time. In comparison, we much preferred the pizza from Blaze, but best of luck to Woodgrain. This business is in a brand new strip mall, and several new restaurants are nearby, so the whole area is becoming a bit of a local food stop cluster. This is also apparently Woodgrain’s second location, with the first and original one located in Westmont.

Went here for lunch. I decided to choose the buffalo Chicken pizza as it was something that I never had before. The pizza was very good and an affordable amount. Besides their specialty pizzas you can create your own with all different toppings. In comparison to Blaze and Pie Five I think this one is much better. The location is probably not the greatest and the place is a bit smaller but overall Id recommend it for an inexpensive and delicious pie.

Decent pizza but not as good as Blaze with less options. Service was good. The staff was very friendly. Clearly new and they’re still learning. Having said all that, the sauce and crust are not great and that’s the core of the pizza. I did like the décor.

First time here and definitely not my last. These guys have it down. And they offer a few more toppings than that other build-your-own pizza place in town. Can you say«soppressata»? Yes! And the pizzas are bigger too. Only two crusts. The standard Neopolitan which had a softer(but delicious) crust, and the gluten-free. I had the standard crust. I may try the gluten-free in the future just for kicks. I loaded mine with crushed tomato sauce, Italian sausage, pepperoni, soppressata, mushrooms, black olives and the 50⁄50 cheese blend. And topped with bacon. Very impressed! I was even asked if enough of each ingredient was put on. At that other place, you have to practically beg them to put more on. They use cherry wood to fuel the oven too. One of my favorite woods. The dining area is quite nice. While I carried out this time, I’ll definitely dine in in the future. They have one of those new soda machines too, so feel free to mix things up. Salads looked tasty too. I’ll update again if/when I get one to accompany a pizza. Give these guys a try. You’ll enjoy it.
