Excellent service. Great food. We ate both breakfast and lunch meals and everything received rave reviews from the 6 year old all the way to the 16 year old. We have been to a few restaurants here and been disappointed regularly. Nopalera did not disappoint. We will be back next time we are on the island.

We were on our way to our usual standby, Bronco Burrito, when we decided to try something different. My barbacoa was exceptional and the beans were the BEST beans I have ever had in a Mexican food restaurant. I got the charro beans instead of refried. I personally make the best refried beans I have ever tasted, hahaha! Anyways, my husband loved the giant burrito and my daughter and step-daughter loved their food and Bloody Mary and margaritas. Galveston really has some great places to eat!

stella the waitress… a sweetheart.
huevos ranchero with a side of beans, bacon, potatoes, salsa and homemade tortilla’s — beans cooked with bacon grease [yum] tortillas were a bit overcooked [crunchy in spots] bacon was small, rather thin and mostly fat [but, i liked it] coffee was fresh & smooth.
at some points… they were scrambling for condiments such as coffee cream and orange juice — to go orders wrong — breakfast burrito instead of omelet, etc…[when you sit at the bar… you over hear a lot]
and being that it was 10ish… everything should be ready for the hustle a breakfast crowd can bring in the summer
overall…liked the place and will return
