Wonderful Mexican food on the island! Salsa is fresh and the tortilla chips are some of the best I have ever had. Guacamole was good and everyone enjoyed their food! They even heard that it was our anniversary and we got free cheesecake. We were craving Mexican food and we were not disappointed. If you want good food– come here!

We moved back to Galveston 2 months ago and I saw this restaurant on my way home and mentioned it to my husband. We decided to eat here and to our surprise, they have the best seafood enchilada!!!

If you’re craving Mexican and/​or El Salvadorian on Galveston Island, go nowhere else but here! Plato mixto is highly recommended.

This place is amazing! Bright colors and great food!!! Eat the yuca mojo!!! It’s so delicious! The steak fajitas were great too! A great find for a great price!

Visiting Galveston and decided to try his place out. Salsa and chips very good. Guacamole is very fresh tasting. The charro beans are exceptional. The rice is a little bland but not bad. The fajita combination is very good as well. The beef and chicken are both tender. The service is great too. She checked on us often and kept the sweet tea and salsa filled. No complaints here.

1^st time here and won’t be my last! The place is a mixture of Mexican and Salvadoran cuisine. The owner was super friendly and the food was delish! I would say it’s the best Salvadoran food in town. The pupusas are really yummy! I had the pork and cheese and my co-​worker ordered the chicken and cheese pupusa. It was divine especially with the salsa. They also have the chicken with spinach cream sauce (comes with rice, beans, pico and tortillas) it was very good!

I went today with my boyfriend around 1:30 pm. Prices were reasonable, and food tasted good, couldn’t complain. Waiters just told us to sit wherever we liked, and briefly took our drink order, brought out our drinks and chips and salsa promptly. It wasn’t very busy today, and we got our food very fast. We will be back the next time we’re craving Mexican food!

This place was ok. not good and not bad. I think the family working was just over it that day! I dont blame them, everyone needs a day off sometime.

Ready to escape the spring break crowds, we did a search on Unilocal and came across this amazing hidden gem. The service was excellent, and the food was flawless. We tried the queso with meat first. Then we decided we should try pupusas, just because we had never had them before. The pork ones were a must try. The entrees were all so good we hardly had anything to box up! The Chicken Acapulco is a favorite for a reason, but we all had something different and it was all good. Get off the tourist hamster wheel and try something really special here!

This place is bomb. Go for the fajitas or pupusas. Great salsa.

Best popusas I have ever had this place is great. If you like real Mexican food this place is for you.

Great casual place for the best of both worlds, mexican and salvadorian. Salsa that comes with chips is awesome. We’ll be back next time we’re in Galveston.

Got there at 8pm an hour before they close and I couldn’t get help for my to go order. :(ended up walking out!!! Lame!

Family time in Galveston visiting schliterbahn we look for some great seafood in the bay we try one bodies this one but there was super expense so we se this in the Unilocal suggestion we give them the opportunity to feed our hunger
Our experience is first we walk in with some hamburger left overs from the other restaurants that my kids did not eat we let them eat there and the we go to a different place well the server started blaming me because I cant bring food in from the outside plus my wife never have had to drink tap water there so she Carried her own water I did my best to explain to her but she still was rude and not friendly. Well we choose this place because there fish in the photos are great looking but that day they were out of fish not possible well I ordered mariscada soup that was flavorless and not hot sufficient the Pupusas were good all the tables had a reserve sign not sure why? To me poor quality next time I may try there different location near nasa.

So glad we tried this place. Far more interesting than your standard Tex Mex. Lots of seafood options, and I enjoyed the Salvadoran options especially. Husband had the tilapia cancun and nearly licked his plate. I had spinach and cheese pupusas with plantains and a corn tamale — delicious and too much to eat. I was also impressed that my daughter’s chicken strips were homemade — not the overly breaded and seasoned previously frozen ones typical in most restaurants.

After trying most of the Mexican Resturant’s on the Island, this is the best. Tastes as if you were eating at the owners home.
This has become our Go-​To Mexican Resturant.
Great food, good beer, good service. And you always greeted as an old friend even if you only visit once or twice a year.

Friendly staff even when we went an hour before they closed. Clean place. Quick service. Food was great! Salsa was delicious with lots of flavor. Will definitely go back next time in Galveston.

Well, it’s really scary looking outside. But bright and clean inside. The salsa was probably the best flavored salsa me or my wife has had. A little hot, but so much flavor. My red fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly and my wife’s quesadilla was execellent. The server was very timid, but who cares as he refilled the drinks and brought the food out when it was ready. Don’t be fooled by the seawall Mexican places. This is authentic.

This is a great example of not judging a book by its cover. We almost drove away after seeing the shabby shop front but Unilocal pushed us on and I’m glad it did. Perfectly fresh chips and absolutely delish salsa filled us up a bit too much because we couldn’t stop. The pupusas were yummy, as were the spinach quesadillas. Don’t miss the plantains! Superbly sweet, and perfectly cooked. There wasn’t much to choose for the vegetarians in the family but what we did have was worth it. $ 58 for our family of five. Not too bad. We would go back for the salsa alone.

By far the best snapper I have ever had the mushroom cream sauce is amazing. Also the seafood soup is out of this world!
I come here every time I’m in Galveston now.
