Good for a quick lunch. Paid less than $ 10 for a lunch special. Waitress was ok, waiter was nicer. I’m full and happy, might come back.(There was an annoying huge fly that needs to die)

What a happy replacement for the scary old Chinese place that had been in this building for years(you know, the one that only had two cars in front). This El Nopalito locations has transformed the space into a bright, cheery, clean little tex-mex place, very casual, friendly service. They have a fairly standard menu with reasonable prices. We went for an early breakfast(migas, huevos mexicanos) and were served a basket of hot chips with fresh salsas when we sat down. Coffee was above average for a café. The orange juice was freshly squeezed(!) and served in a big icy glass; delicious. Our breakfast dishes were tasty, plenty of food, good refried beans, hot tortillas. This will be a regular stop for us for desayuno, and I want to try lunch, also. Now, if they just had frozen margaritas…

BESTMEXICANFOODINGALVESTONHANDSDOWN! We went there today for lunch and had the Nopalita’s special was great! Their enchiladas were so good and reminded me of my great grandma’s. The salsa had just enough spice and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. They also have breakfast that I can’t wait to try! We’ll definitely be returning.

We come here every time we get back to Galveston. This hole in the wall has the friendliest staff, amazingly fast service, and good food! I usually get one of their breakfast burritos, you can build em any way you want. Food is fresh, hot, and tasty. This is a secret treasure of Galvestonians, you really should check it out!

Not the original, by a long shot. Everyone at the table found the food quite bland, and some even salted their food twice. The tortillas were huge, and on the thin, papery side; not the thick tortillas, like grandma, and the original Nop, used to make. It was a disappointment, to say the least.
