5 stars for the view and location alone! Stopped here for lunch and it was perfect. If it’s not too hot while your visiting would definitely recommend hitting up the top deck the overlooks the beach and pier. Got a few drinks and some food, the wings an buffalo chicken sandwich where delicious! There was the swim up bar which is pretty sweet, we didn’t want to be the first ones in but looked like people where in it when we passed by later on.
Would definetly recommend stopping in!

Best margarita I’ve ever had! I came on a Tuesday during their happy hour, and I got rocks margarita for $ 2.
Great location right by the beach. Nice pool and balcony. Wonderful place to take your friends and just chill!

Great place to sit back, people watch and enjoy the sea breeze on a Saturday afternoon. Tacos were very good and the beer was cold.

Had dinner here and it was quite good, great beach/​party atmosphere and very good food too. We ordered the Messy Nachos, which were ironically named I suppose because they were carefully prepared with the chips all facing the correct direction. Also, we had the El Nino burrito with shrimp. Both were very nicely prepared and had excellent flavor, tasted fresh and made you want to stuff your face. I personally hate cocktails in disposable plastic glasses, but whatever it’s the beach. Service was good as well, we were not left waiting for long.

Great view, fun atmosphere. Came here with my husband to have a few drinks, drinks were priced well and pretty good. The service here is kind of slow, but they are very attentive. We would definitely return for some more drinks, and probably a group of friends.

Oh man, this place was kind of a nightmare, but in the gosh college was a fun time/​nightmare kind of way. Grungy floors, sweaty shirtless people, and pushy cops. Don’t get too close to the pool or you might literally get pushed in. That being said, if you’re looking to get wasted, look no further. Its loud and proud.

Really fun crew of young people work here. Great happy hour prices. $ 2 hamburgers all the time. Their rewards program allows you to buy items at Ohana Surf Shop across the street.

Let me start by saying 3 words — Amazing shrimp burritos! The burritos are a very generous size. In fact all 4 adults whom I ate with, brought home leftovers (3 of us ordered a burrito). The food was very affordable as were their alcoholic beverages. The décor was bright and the restaurant overlooks the ocean. You can see pleasure pier right outside. Outdoors there is a, wait for it, POOL! Yes, that’s right, a pool! Surrounding the pool are tables where you can enjoy a bite to eat while feeling like you’re actually on the beach! There’s even a top deck furnished with tables and chairs.
The weather wasn’t the best when we went so we opted to sit inside but I plan on visiting again and grabbing a table out on the second story deck. I’m sure this could become a regular spot for my husband and me!

Great spot, but the service left lots to be desired. Tacos were delicious, but the good can only carry a restaurant so far. Service counts too. Sad, because this place is in a great location & had potential. In desperate need of friendlier people.

Went in yesterday during the Mardi Gras stuff. We were lucky enough to get a seat upstairs. Great view of everything Galveston has to offer, which unfortunately isn’t much. Despite the fact that Galveston is lacking in a destination the float is a pretty cool place. They have a swimming pool inside the bar area which was new to me. Had it been warmer it could have been an awesome feature but I’ll reserve judgement until I’m there on a warmer day. We didn’t eat and just ordered a pitcher. Prices were pretty fair, I definitely did not feel like I was ripped off. Not sure if it would be worth it if we weren’t able to sit on the upper balcony. Overall a decent place but nothing spectacular.

Great location! Horrible service at the bar. The bartenders ignore patrons sitting at the bar, they are very impersonal, don’t introduce themselves, take forever to refill drinks after asking several times. You have to almost yell at them to get their attention.
The tables outside get great service.
The food was mediocre, wings were cold and tasted undercooked. The messy chicken nachos and the pool were the only things that saved this place.

I just came to check out the swim up bar and really didn’t have high expectations for the food but boy was I wrong! I had a bite of my boyfriends fish tacos and it was the best fish taco I’ve ever had in my 21 years of existence. I ordered the nachos with steak for the meat and it was amazing. The steak was so juicy and succulent! We didn’t even go in the swim up bar because it was over crowded with kids, fat people, and old people… not that I have anything against kids, fat people, and old people but I just don’t like it when theres a lot of them in a small area like that. Also thought it was strange they allowed kids but whatever. I took a star off because our waiter wasn’t very friendly but other than him this place is great and I will definitely be coming back!

On a drive to Galveston just for the sake of checking out the scenery around Houston (visiting from California/​Australia), we popped into this bar to check on the football score… Loved it!
There’s a pool outside (that comes right up to the bar for in-​pool service!) and a great wrap-​around deck for chilling out in the sun. Inside is laid back and beachy… and drinks/​food looked decent.
It was January when I was there, so while it was balmy and pleasant it wasn’t really swimming weather. I imagine it would get pretty crazy there during summer.
It’s not my usual scene and I got the impression the crowd is pretty young and borderline spring-​breaky… but it was a great and totally unexpected find for a couple of travelers who’d never heard that there’s a surfie culture in Texas!
