The worst service I’ve had of any hotel I’ve visited. Rooms are super dirty and they try to blame the customer when you let them know you want it to be cleaned. «Did you post the not disturb sign?». Breakfast is bad and facilities are super dirty. Front desk staff is plain rude. Rooms are FILFYY! And small. Got better hospitality from the maintenance man. Paid good money because of location, but better hotels around the area. Not worth anyone wasting money. I guess all this hotel chain is always like this. DONTWASTEURMONEYHERE!!!

THEWORST night I have spent in any hotel anywhere, ever. It was Mothers Day. I came to Galveston to be with my daughter. I gave her our room number because she did not get off work until late. I started worrying about 11:00 pm until I dozed off. AT4 am I waked up in a panic because my daughter was not there, I checked my I-pad and saw — she had sent messages at 11:15 pm that the night manager refused let her in the hotel, and told her to «move on and get off the property!» Furious and frantic, I went to the front desk and confronted the night manager who scolded ME saying«your daughter even had flowers for you!» I broke down in tears, in disbelief that this stupidity could even happen. The night manager swears she called my room 3 times but the phone on the night table by my bed NEVERRANG. Of course I was called a liar for claiming my phone didn’t ring. I checked out as soon as it was light enough to see outside, with no idea of any place to go. Later that morning, thinking the management would be equally horrified, apologetic, and above all, concerned for the safety of my daughter, I got in touch with the GM. After hearing my nightmare, he accused me of complaining just to try and get a free room(really?) and then he hung up on me. This Comfort Inn is a bad CHOICE for civilized people.

We were in Galveston just for a short weekend for dance competitions. Unfortunately it was also during Spring Break so rates where doubled during this time. A room here that was normally $ 89 a night(a great deal) was $ 160 to $ 210 while we were in town. We booked of course at the $ 160 rate. There is no view of the ocean from our room, it’s a not parallel to the beach, it faced the parking lot and a condo building. No big deal, we were not here for the view. But if your wanting a view then I hope you have a better chance on the East side, there is no chance on the West side. They have complementary breakfast which is great. If you’re a health nut, then the only thing healthy was the fruit. They had waffles, sausage, scrambled eggs(not normal eggs), and potatoes. They also serve cereal. It’s free and if your hungry it is a quick fix. We were not here for vacation but we saw people getting on shuttles to go places so I assume they offer a shuttle service. They are across from the Sea Wall so it’s a quick walk across the street to be on the very busy public beach. They are next to Walmart and have a Jimmy Johns right outside their front parking lot. In all this is a very convenient place to stay for activities on the sea wall. It was about 3 miles from the Moody Convention center which is where we needed to be all weekend. The rooms are very clean and average décor. The A/C is a unit and ours was not very quiet all night but some people like that background noise. It was not a blistering hot day so the room was comfortable at all times. The bedding was comfortable. However the showers run out of Hot Water in the morning. You might want to get up early to shower or wait till the evening. Not sure if this is just a weekend problem. I have stayed at other Inn’s who have this similar problem so must be their tanks are not big enough. For our short stay I was pleased with the accommodations, however it’s not somewhere I would want to vacation at unless it had the best rates over other locations. My husband was non to happy that they ran out of coffee in the morning and were in no hurry to refill the 5 different jugs they had offering coffee. By the time we checked out they still had not refilled them but I was told that they do keep them filled throughout the day. Coffee is important to people when you offer it to them. Keep it filled.

Great hotel! It was just what we expected, had clean rooms and a nice little balcony. Customer service was excellent! We had a discrepancy with the room, and the general manager was more than polite explaining it and making sure everything was straighten out.

It was okay. However the rooms were very small, the breakfast was average at best, and I never got the wifi to work. This place was highly rated by tripadvisor so maybe it was just me. We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Clearlake and it was great.

I travel frequently for my job and as a Choice Rewards member I have stayed at many Comfort Inn & Suites. I was very disappointed and even had to apoligize to my significant other for this establishments shortcomings. I expected the same as I always have gotten out of this chain but this is a bad apple. First of all they would not negotiate the usual 10% I usually get at other ones which I blew off because I know that Galveston is a tourist area. Then we walked to our room and were impressed by the cleanliness and the ritzy look. We opened the door and a musty smell hit us. I informed the significant other that maybe this was flooded by Hurricane Ike. We also found some areas by the baseboards that looked like they were wet at one time. Next we turned on the TV and lo and behold we only had maybe 15 channels to choose from and I immediately got a nasty look because there wasn’t Food Network in the line up. I looked at the channel list and sneered at it because it was missing AMC and all the cool important channels. Soooo… yeah I understand it is a tourist area and we shouldn’t be hanging in our room to much but for that price I will if I want too. The Internet was very spotty and I had to relog frequently. Later the significant other went to get a soda and was appalled that most of the selections were empty along with the snack machine. In the morning I wandered down to check the breakfast and get some coffee and decided I wasn’t in the mood for cold eggs and a waffle. Usually I am greeted with a little more like some biscuits and gravy and sometimes sausage. The elevator had dirt, french fries, and cigarette butts in it which made us a little more cautious when going to our vehicle underneath the motel because we suspected that maybe a homeless person was lurking in the area. I hope that Comfort Inn reviews this to see how their franchise at this location is not up to par with the quality I am accustom too.
