Went in around 5pm, and ordered Tantan ramen, and gyoza. They prepare their gyoza by boiling them, and serving it with a mixed soy sauce. Unfortunately, they serve the gyoza by placing them ontop of one another, so when they cool, the wraps stick one another, ripping when you pull them apart. Tantan ramen looked great, but lacked serious flavor. It’s a spicy ramen bowel, but doesn’t hold much spice itself. It comes with wood ear mushrooms, bean sprouts, ground pork and bits of vegetable greens. I thought it lacked slat to begin with, but after adding it on and off between tastings, it just got salty. Which let’s me know it was the actual broth that lacked taste. Tab came out to $ 14, not including drink since I only ordered water. Not very impressed with this place as a ramen shop, and I don’t see myself coming back in.

Been there 3 times now and have 0 complaints! Idk why everybody on here is so negative… The Chef was talkative, friendly and fast! He cooks in a different order than what you’re «used» to but if only the average person knew about cross-contamination and what can happen if you cook a certain way. This place cares about your health. Food portions are really good! If there is extra they will give it to you and the price won’t give you a headache after a good meal. It may not be the flashiest of places like all these other teppanyaki restaurants, but you gotta give em a chance. They are fairly new and just reopened after getting new owners. In time, some louder music, tv’s or just some sort of noise wouldn’t make sitting down with strangers that awkward… But hey people! Talk to them be human and just say hi and introduce yourself and small talk. All in all, prices are relatively cheap especially lunch. Service is as good as it gets if they are understaffed«hence» the sign in the front HIRINGNEEDHELP. Recommend someone you know that will give good service then the place will get better. Instead of talking negative and just leave it high and dry. Let’s make our community better not just dawg it out and eat McDonald’s for dinner. Anyways that’s all I gotta say!

Decided to try out this teppanyaki place with my family. The food was excellent. The first owner came back and reopened his restaurant. All new staff and cooks. Prices won’t kill the wallet either. Our cook was courteous, funny, and experienced. Also, our server was hustling and providing as much service as she possibly could. It’s a hole in the wall but has the potential to rival the other teppanyaki restaurants. Especially with the Dutch bros opening up in the same lot. Go early though, they began to run out of certain items.

I’m going to get straight to the point on this one. My girlfriend her friend and I felt like grabbing a quick meal. So here we landed. We had Teppan-yaki plus some sushi… For those that remember what this place used to be like. Its shameful. They shouldn’t get to use the same name. The chef(I’m using that term VERY loosely) cooked the food in the wrong order. The baked green mussels were horrible. Just an all around disappointment. Do have to say the waitress was extremely nice.

Very disappointed! We did the teppanaki. The service was so slow, and the waiterss ingnored us. Then to find out that the one of the people worked there that was seated NEXTTOUS. So you would think the service would be awesome, but We were still ignored. Food was ok, but I can’t believe the treatment. For the birthday girl who showed up late had no class for her for herself or her friends. SHAMEONYOU! UGH…DEAROWNERS, please have the waitress take care of the paying CUSTOMERS and not for the waitress who announced that she was getting discount. ANDGAVEUSOURBILLLAST.

If I could I would have put negative stars. Unagi tasted sour, found a bone in my Philadelphia Roll and the Inari well let’s just say I spit it out. My husbands Bento was cold and they did the check wrong trying to charge over 10% tax. DONOTWASTEYOURMONEY!!!

Just had some take-out sushi, it was good. Regular tuna roll and a salmon hand roll. Nothing fancy, but it was fresh tasting and the perfect portion. Will for sure be dining in after the remodel is finished… It’s a bit of a hole in the wall for now.

We decided to give this place a try after reading some of the reviews about how awesome the sushi was and that the chef was back and it was better than ever. Boy are they wrong! It is the worst Japanese restaurant we have ever been to. There was no sign on the outside, we had to read the business license on the inside of the door to figure out if it was the right place. They had computer printed signs all over. We figured they were just opening, so we tried to be understanding. But really should have walked away then. The waitresses were friendly, but not very knowledgeable about the menu. Every question we asked they had to go and ask someone else. They didn’t even know what the item names meant that were on their menu. Perhaps just lack of training? While we were waiting to order another customer went up to the counter to complain he didn’t receive his Gyoza. The main manager/chef person got argumentative with him, but finally got the situation resolved by offering a partial discount. We should have known then to leave. So we ordered a Spicy Tuna sushi roll and their combo of fried rice and gyoza. It took awhile to get, but when the food arrived it looked horrible! The gyoza came out slimy as just potstickers on a plate. No sauce, nothing. After asking the waitress, she admitted they ran out of «gyoza sauce» and were making more. They did bring it later, what seemed a mixture of vinegar and soy sauce. The gyoza were bland and tasteless. The fried rice was basically overcooked and mushy white rice, corn and soy sauce. My 10 year old son could make better fried rice with minute rice and frozen corn. What a pathetic attempt at a meal. And from a restaurant where we are PAYING for it? Wow! The Spicy Tuna sushi roll was just as pathetic. No fine touch to the sushi, it was slapped together sloppy and thrown on a plate. It was basically rice and tuna drenched in some Cholulu hot sauce. This was not the«best sushi» everyone else is raving about. We recommend you avoid this place at all costs. Horrible food quality. Hopefully we’ll figure out a way to post the pictures of the food for everyone to see.

The food was very good, the décor was pretty bad, and the service was decent. The prices were comparable to edo ya. I would not pay the same as edo ya for the service and bad décor.

Teppanyaki was delicious and entertaining. Sushi rolls are yummy as well. However, service isn’t up to par. The place is overall small and poorly lit. Although there was no one else in the restaurant besides us and another family, we weren’t seated right away. We were told to wait for a couple minutes. Our waitress seemed clueless about the menu. She wasn’t able to answer our questions about the fish and substitutions. Aside from that, she forgot about our sashimi order which we eventually canceled since we were done with our dinner.

This is my second time having dinner here and it was okay. We decided to give it another try and just like the first felt that it was just OKAY. We ordered the shrimp teppenyaki and the two lobster teppenyaki the cook was very nice and entertaining. The meal however was slightly over seasoned. That is on thing that really stuck out too us. Maybe we should’ve said something the second time the check reached for the seasonings but hey what do we know?! All in all the meal was okay.

So I’ve been a few places for sushi. I actually lived in Japan for a year and a half. This place is the second best sushi I’ve ever had(best ever is in North Carolina, long story). My personal favorites are the Zipangu roll and Fresno roll. The teppanyaki(sp?) was excellent too. I’ve had it twice. Personally appreciative of them having the soccer channel playing at all times. Watched Man U. steamroll a Chinese league team last time I was there. The ONLY reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because it looks pretty shoddy. Love you guys, but you need to redo the interior.

This is a place I would definitely not go to again. We made a last minute reservation for 7:45 on a Saturday, we go there at 7:20 and wasn’t seated until a little after 8. Our waitress was really nice but they seemed understaffed. The food was over priced for the quality but I was glad they had child’s plates for teppanyaki. I would not recommend this place. Not very festive and really needs a makeover.

It’s really hit or miss depending on the chef you get. The food is usually good here and the prices are decent, but the service is pretty unprofessional. We went in tonight we were not greeted at all. I had to ring a bell after standing there for 5 minutes, and were told there would be a 15 minute wait, which is fine. After waiting 30, we started thinking about leaving.(one other family was waiting with us). They have a total of 4 teppanyaki tables and two were open. This was a Saturday night. After 45 minutes we left. No one ever said anything to us about why we were waiting. It’s almost like they don’t want to make money. Oh well. I’m not saying we won’t go back but I’ll gladly spend my money elsewhere for a little more service. Oh and yes, they do need an interior update — but if you do get to eat there and get a good chef it doesn’t matter too much.

We went here on 2÷18÷11 to celebrate a late Valentine’s day dinner per a recommendation from my sister. We’ve ate here about 3 years earlier and the experience was a 2 star, therefore have not been back since then. The sushi and sashimi was ok… I’ve had better. The seaweed salad was great. You won’t be disappointed if you order this. As we ended our dinner, I noticed the party sitting directly behind us dropped their napkin onto the floor and I realized that it was a cloth napkin. I began to question why we were given paper napkins when the table behind us was given cloth napkins. When I scanned the dinning area, I noticed that two other tables were given cloth napkins and one additional table was given paper napkins. The table that was given paper napkins was Asian customers like us. Asian customers don’t deserve cloth napkins? So as I walk out of this restaurant, I began to think that my money is not as valuable as non-Asian’s money and how discrimination can be very subtle. This restaurant fails to realize that money has one color only: GREEN. That will be the last time I take my money there.

Man this place is in dire need of a décor makeover but the food was pretty good although I have had much better tasting sushi(at a much higher price though). We went early and it was not crowded The tappan cook was very personable and skilled. I would go back but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

If you want great tasting and affordable sushi, this is the place to go visit. They are not stingy with their portions and always have great customer service. The sushi bar is where I always sit and get along with the cooks well. Not sure what you want? Just tell them what you like and they will whip something up for you right away. My only complaints are you leave the place smelling like it and very crappy cell phone reception
