I don’t think I’ll come back here… Their fried chicken is too greasy and the price doesn’t seem reasonable compared to the size of the food. Disappointed.

Fire Sushi is my best friends fave! I came down and we tried it out to see if the buzz was worth it and here’s the scoop: All together we ordered six roles, two orders of fried rice(chicken and veggie), orange chicken, and some drinks. The total was around 90 bucks which is pretty darn good. The Red Dragon Roll was amazing. I loved it and I’d definitely get it again. The Booty Booty was good but the hype from the BFF was all about it which was why I ordered the Red Dragon(she has bad taste in men and sushi. Hahahaha! I kid, I kid.) My son had the calamari roll and he said it was delish. I was so full I didn’t try it.(Dang it!) But he has great taste in sushi. A man at another table ordered the R&B which looked so delicious. I think his dinner date was annoyed by my inquiry but, man, I had to know! The fried rice was pretty good. Not the best but it was great for the price. Orange chicken, now this was different. The pieces of chicken were really big and they added orange chicken sauce. It was unlike any orange chicken I’ve had and my taste buds were appreciative. They have Fanta Orange soda which was good, and bad, because I love orange soda but I had too much after waiting an hour for our food. I don’t know why it took an hour but they did bring us complementary mochi for the inconvenience. That was cool, literally, because it’s ice cream. And so yummy! All and all we had a great meal for a decent price but waited a long time. I guess I will call ahead next time and I will order the R&B and the Red dragon Roll.

I came in around 2:30 happy that they were open because I was super hungry! The waitress was really nice and recommended the Snow White roll… I ordered It and waited for 20 mins for them to make my to go order of 1 single roll! In my opinion that’s too long but I didn’t care too much. Then I opened the box and see something that is too hot to eat. I stuff it in my mouth though because like I said I’m really hungry at this point. the entire thing fell apart. It was not held together not even close to the way sushi rice should hold the roll together. It tasted ok but not great. maybe it was my fault for not taking more care in my selection but that combined with the long wait equals I’ll never go back.

The good thing about this place is that the sushi is cheap. But the quality is not good. I’ve had better for the price. I’m surprised at how high the ratings are for this place. But I guess it’s not so bad considering this may be the closest sushi type of restaurant in this area. I’d rather drive the extra miles for good sushi. The owners and workers are really nice. But I was just not very pleased with the food. It’s a great to go place for those that don’t want to be seated with a waiter/waitress.

Great food, great value, great service. What’s not to like? I’m happy because until now my only quick sushi options were Teriyaki Don and Sashimi Express. Those places are great in their own right. I’m happy to say that I now have an alternative close to my home.

Shrimp tempura roll was gross and rubbery and no flavor. The bulgogi bowl was good though. Friendly service.

First time trying this place out today and it was great! Can’t believe that I’ve never been here before considering how cheap everything is. I got the spicy sweet chicken plate, and it tasted really good. The plate came with rice, super yummy vegetable tempura, and the chicken. If you’re super hungry then get the plate otherwise stick with the bowl since the plate is packed with food. Amazing pricing for how much you get. :)

First time here and loved it. Sashimi bowl was awesome. And the strawberry ice cream was really good. The cashier was super nice. Definitely coming back.

The service was great. The girl working at the counter was very nice, but if it’s sushi you want this is not the place. I got the spicy tuna tempura roll which I couldn’t finish. And I got a rainbow roll… hard to mess up a rainbow. It was fine but not what I really wanted. They don’t have«real» sushi rolls. Only a few with actual raw fish but their rolls cost the same as of they did. I paid a little over $ 20 for my lunch. It just wasn’t worth it to me.

Surprisingly pretty good. 4.5 stars for my recent experience on my first time there. Fire sushi is more like a fast good, to-go or sit in kind of place where you aren’t waited on by a waiter. But for what it is, the price was economical for most items, and the flavor and quality were above average. Maybe it was because I came in here with low expectations, but it ended up being pretty good, and I would come here again. The miso soup had a lighter type of flavor that can be different from other places, but was still kinda good. The fried calamari was cooked in a very light and crisp tempura batter. It was very good and wasn’t as heavy as other tempura fried foods. However, the squid was the kind where there were small tentacles when I prefer the smaller slices from the white calamari fillets. Still, it was good. I ordered a bulgogi combo plate which made with thin sliced brisket type meat which was pretty good. I prefer thin slices, so I enjoyed this, and the price was not bad. It also comes with a few pieces of tempura fried veggies and 4 pieces of california roll. The dragon roll tasted very fresh, the flavors kind of just popped. It wasn’t overdone, so the flavors were pretty good. Unfortunately this dragon roll doesn’t have tempura fried shrimp in it, which is what I would like. And it would be better if it was a dollar or two cheaper. Otherwise, this roll was good. I also got to try the RnB roll and firecracker roll, and I didn’t find them to be anything above average. These rolls were deepfried and had a lot of topping on them that weren’t particularly great. Overall, I would say that most of the rolls aren’t that good, but some, like the dragon roll, can be surprisingly good. Next, I think this place is mainly known for their flavored fried chicken. We tried the garlic soy fried boneless chicken. I would prefer regular bone in chicken wings, but apparently they stopped making bone-in wings and only have boneless. The fried chicken bites were actually very good and the flavor was good. It’s not something that I would go to a sushi place for, but if you look past the idea of just sushi, the fried chicken here is pretty good and not too pricey. The chef also made a nice gesture to us by bringing us a free dessert on the house which was two scoops of strawberry ice cream with thin apple slices fanned out and placed upright on a small mound of peanut butter, then drizzled with chocolate. It was good, and a nice surprise. Overall, the flavors and quality of the food here were better than I expected and enough for me to come back again. The inside is spacious, bright, and welcoming and the workers are nice and helpful. This isn’t one of those intimidating, dark, loud, and over-decorated sushi restaurants. This place is more of a budget friendly teriyaki bowl, udon noodle, fried chicken poppers, fried shrimp/calamari kind of place than just a sushi restaurant. So I suggest trying the other foods rather than just the sushi.

This place is super yum! The Husband and I went to this place on a whim since it’s on our usual route home. He ordered the teriyaki chicken plate with sauce on the side. I ordered the shrimp and veggie udon and the F&B fire roll. First off, the udon broth was excellent! Full of flavor. The Husband raved about his plate. Plus! Right before we left they had us sit down again and brought out a dessert, on the house! Very friendly staff, delicious food, Korean drama on the TV, what more could you want???

Came into this place as a last minute need for food. It was an alright experience. The place itself it’s pretty nice for a take out sushi/Japanese place. I got two of the soda pop chicken, the orange chicken and the curry chicken. I’m not a curry flavor fan at all, and I was very pleased with theirs! The sushi was okay. It wasn’t the best, but it was good. I personally don’t think it was worth the price. For a small place, that wasn’t busy at all at the moment, they didn’t seem to pay much attention to their customers. It took us a good 5 – 10 minutes to get someone’s attention to even order. They are really friendly though, and they kindly apologized. All in all, good place. I’d definitely go back if I was really hungry and wanted a good chicken curry, although it probably won’t be a place I’d regularly go to.

I really wanted to like this place: I love Japanese food, it’s in a location at Palm and Bullard that’s convenient for me, and the staff was about as friendly as they could be given the obvious language barrier. I saw the name so I popped in for lunch and expected to get a few bites and rolls in some kind of to-go container. The guy at the register asked if I wanted chicken, saying that’s what they served a lot of. I said the name of the restaurant said«sushi» so I was looking for some sushi. The name also said«express» so I was looking to take it to-go, but much of the sushi there is only served dine-in. I decided I’d sit down, and was treated to entertainment via television, what appeared to be some kind of South Korean teenage soap opera with subtitles. The sushi arrived, first a dragon roll(I love unagi, and this was apparently they only form in which they served it), then a fried fire roll, which I’m pretty sure I didn’t order fried. Neither one really had the flavor that would have redeemed the time and price I was paying(the rice just didn’t carry it like it should), though the cheaper fire roll was definitely the tastier of the two. To their credit, the service was timely, and the food was obviously newly-prepared. Upon reflection, most of the place was decorated with ads for various flavors and servings of chicken, and the employee at the register did, in fact, ask if I wanted chicken, so maybe if I’d ordered chicken I would have been more satisfied with my experience. Shame on me for taking the name literally.

I live near this attractive little place. I pass by it almost every day. So I decided to check it out. I walked in and was immediately greeted with the awesome graphic logo on the left wall.(the graphic of the rocks immediately in front is not to desirable though) I ordered several sushi rolls for my family«to go». I ordered the las Vegas roll, shrimp tempura roll and dragon roll. They where all delicious!!! I was extra impressed that they throw in extra shrimp tempura with our shrimp tempura sushi roll order. To me that is good businesses ethics. I talked to the cashier while I was waiting I was also pleased to hear that it’s a locally owned family restaurant. This is a highly recommendable restaurant. It’s not a hoity toity, fancy shmancy, posh place. Its cozy, humble, family friendly, fast and delicious. 4 star

Great food that’s well priced made with care. I’m a vegetarian and the owner made a special meal for me. Second time he’s done so. You will not go hungry here!

I’m pretty glad I checked out this place recently, and despite the name I believe the main selling point of this restaurant are their fried chicken bowls/plates. + Honey Curry fried chicken plate was really good. It might sound nasty to some, but in my opinion it was like a mix of Japanese curry(brown, thick curry) mixed with an Orange chicken like flavor. Weird sounding mix, but it really tasted good. Plus, it was fried perfectly with a good crunch, but not too greasy. + Combo plates and bowls are pretty cheap and portions are good enough to make you full. + Beef Bulgogi here was also pretty good and better than other dine-in restaurants in town. + Clean, and really friendly service. — Sushi prices here, especially for the special ones, were overpriced and maybe even higher than an actual dine-in sushi restaurant. Their dragon roll for instance was $ 12.95 I think? For an «express» place like this, it should be more like $ 10.95 or something. — Crab sticks used in rolls(I personally don’t like it served like that) — I don’t think you’re able to mix different flavors of the sauces for the wings, from how the menu explains it. Overall, the food here taste great but I wouldn’t come here if you’re expecting authentic type sushi, or even just a cheaper alternative to it compared to others in town.

This place is new and clean. All of the sushi plates we have ordered have been fresh tasting and delicious. Their fried chicken bowls and plates are cooked perfectly and have great flavor. I only gave 4 stars because they have fried rice on the menu but it’s marked as out of order. According to the cashier, they won’t be serving fried rice at all. Makes me sad. That’s one of my favorite things to eat at Asian restaurants. Also their portions on the teriyaki plates and fried calamari are small. Other than that it’s a great little sushi place, friendly staff, and decent prices!

Disclaimer: If possible, I would have given this place 3.5 stars, but I bumped them up rather than down since they’re new, they put the effort in, and even though its not fancy food, its still good cheap food. An impressive change from the previous restaurant that was here. I always ask the people who work at new restaurants what they would suggest I order, so at their suggestion, we started with a Fire R&B roll and a Rainbow roll. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they came with small, fast food style Japanese cucumber salads(not sunomono) on the side. The price was reasonable as well. The rainbow roll was excellent, especially for an «express» restaurant, and very tasty. It wasn’t comparable to sit down sushi, but definitely worth it. However, I would advise you stay away from the Fire R&B roll. It was a tempura roll topped with some spicy stuff that tasted like it should be in a burrito, and at $ 2 more than the rainbow roll, totally not worth it. In order to give a more broad review, we tried the soda pop chicken, which was advertised heavily outside. They give you a little bowl of chiken covered in sauce that sits inside your cup of soda, so the flavors don’t mix. A nice to-go options, and you can get shrimp instead if you please, which we did. We tried two sauces, the Korean orange and ginger soy, both of which were complimentary to the shrimp and very good. This restaurant offers a great non-sushi selection, so don’t expect 100% amazing sushi(like maroo), but its definitely good for a quick, budget option. Our service was quick, the restaurant was clean, the woman working the cash register was polite and helpful, and there was a kid watching pokemon, so this place definitely had everything I wanted. ;)
