Not sure why it’s not posted, but this Vinny’s has been closed since Snowzilla in February. Roof collapsed on most businesses in the mini-mall. Hope they reopen soon, it’s been a very popular local hotspot for years, and their cheesesteaks and minestrone soup are the best in the area.

The food here is okay, but if I can, I make the drive to 610 and get my food from the Vinnys there. Not sure why there is such a disparity in the quality, but there is. It’s like the main location(610) sold this franchise 10 years ago and they lost half the recipe card for most of the dishes. I am a HUGE calamari fan and order it every time, but at the 17 location it tastes old, freezer burnt, and stale, but on 610 it’s fresh, the batter is crispy and the squid tastes fresh. No idea…

Great marinara dipping sauce and pizza. Attentive, quick service. Bathroom not clean. Why all the canned goods on shelves in dining area? Not attractive. Will stop by again for the pizza. Price is right.

My boyfriend and I come here almost every other week. Always good service and always good food! Not to mention great prices! Way better then the Vinny’s on 6⁄10. Keep up the good work guys!!!

For a chain restaraunt it isn’t too bad. Easy on the wallet, and the food is ok… there is a good variety from pizza’s to pasta to sandwiches, and the portions are very generous. Favorite dish is the baked spaghetti, big enough to feed two people so that you can share! The first time we ate at Vinny’s we were underwhelmed with the food… hot dog buns used for garlic bread(it must have been a bad week or something) and the table service almost non existent. Thank goodness we gave them a second chance! We haven’t been disappointed since that visit.

We have been dining here for many years now and have yet to have a bad or even mediocre meal. The food is consistently done well! Their menu isn’t too broad, but what they have on it is very tasty and they do offer some unique, special items that others either don’t have or don’t execute very well. Service is decent as well. It’s probably one of the best, all-around Italian joints for a neighborhood that we have in the area! A definitely must-try for lunch or dinner!

The food was great, but the service was mediocre at best. The waiter saw me walk in the restaurant and didn’t even greet me(seeing that this was my first time dining at this establishment, I was unsure whether to seat myself or not). He told me to seat myself and then asked me «do you know what you want to eat?» He did come back to the table to ensure I had drink refills, but that is about where the service ended. It was a very cold experience. It seems clear that the wait staff may need training on having welcoming interaction with customers. The restaurant has good potential, but the service kills the experience. I am not sure I will dine there again. A «Hello, how are you doing today?» and a positive demeanor go a long way!

Great service. Really great prices and selections. My only concern is my dish seemed very undercooked and that’s probably due to his fast they were trying to get it out, though I was in no rush. I had the spinach stuffed shells– ricotta was definitely undercooked, very grainy, and spinach seemed to be as well. No stomach ache and had good flavor for the price! Will be back for another taste.

Great Italian food, wine, and service. Convenient location near I-95.(One hour from DC, it’s a good stopover on the way or way back from King’s Domion, Richmond, Williamsburg, or Virginia Beach. Recommendations: Antipasto salad, spinach pizza, seafood spaghetti.

I took my family of six to what I had hoped would be a simple and tasty dinner after being on the road since 6 am. The Stromboli was good, the rigatoni in vodka sauce was fine and the ravioli was good. The chicken Parm on the other hand was burned and tasted terrible. The waitress was nice enough to ask how everything was but when we told her that the chicken was burned, she smiled, and said«I am sorry» but did nothing. she gave us the check and was on her way. When we went to the register, the young lady there again asked how everything was. I told her that the chicken Parm was burned. This employee was less gracious. She could not muster an apology. The best she could do was smile. When we said she obviously doesn’t care either, she just smiled. We will not be back for sure…

Love the 4 bean salad & spaghetti & meatballs. Garlic bread with every entrée. Waitresses are very friendly & courteous.

I grew up in and have spent most of my life in New Jersey, home of some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had so I very rarely eat Italian when I travel. Today, one of our training facilitators suggested Vinny’s for lunch so our whole team went. I can’t go through what everyone had, but I had the vodka rigatoni with grilled chicken and it was was SO much better than I expected I was shocked. There were a number of strombolis and calzones ordered and they looked awesome… and everyone really liked their meals. Our service was fine for the big table of people we had and the prices here are very reasonable. Vinny’s wouldn’t replace any of my favorite Italian places at home, but it sure was nice to have some very good Italian here in Fredericksburg, VA!

Terrific service, better than most fine dining establishments. Family place, reasonable prices and very good food. Five stars for it being the best it can be and promising nothing they couldn’t deliver.

Vinnys has all the potential to be a good restaurant but needs to pay more attention. First off… the sauce used for manicotti was the same for pizza. The sauce could of been very tasty but it had the taste and appearance of a sauce that has been cooked and reheated many times. Dark and acidity. Very inedible. And who uses the same sauce for pasta and pizza? A shame as the manicotti wasn’t bad. The pizza is not NY Style and the crust was soggy as others have said. Add bad sauce and great cheese and you get a mess of a pizza! A little attention to the cooking and this restaurant has great potential. As it is it was empty at 8pm on a sat nite.

I was looking for a non chain sit down restaurant along I95 and read the great reviews on Unilocal.I was further excited when I walked into the restaurant which was packed for lunch with what appeared to be all locals. I ordered one of the lunch specials — Ceasars salad and a slice. Both we just ok. Dressing appeared to be homemade but the romaine was watery. The Salad was topped with mozzarella cheese, not parmesan and then typical cheap box croutons. The pizza slice was good sized. But the dough was a bit chewy in the middle and not thoroughly cooked. Pepperonis were the typical ones you can get at the grocery store.

Vinny’s food is terrific and their prices are very reasonable. This location is very convenient for us, when we don’t want to get out and fight the traffic to go to Central Park or downtown. The wife and I are very big fans of purchasing pizza by the slice, which keeps me from wolfing down a large pizza by myself. They also have Blue & Gray«Fred Red» on tap, but they call it «Vinny’s Red Ale» Their Antipasta salad and Italian sandwich also deserves some recognition. Both are loaded with quality ingredients. They do offer take-out, but no delivery… deliver to my house Vinny’s and I’ll give you another star!

Food is excellent, as is the service and prices. Their freshly made chips are outstanding as are the other items I’ve had. All in all everything about this place is top of the line. Their lunch specials are very good and priced right. Go there.
