Wow, wow, wow! I hired Caroline Street Catering for my October 2015 wedding and could not have be more impressed with their professionalism, organization, and flawless execution. From the first time I met Chef Shane, to our tasting, he was always available to answer questions and to make sure that I got everything that I was looking for to impress my guests. The food is delicious, the staff is very alert to your every need and friendly, and they made everything so easy for me, the bride! I couldn’t image hiring anyone else! Thank you!

Caroline Street Catering did such a amazing job catering our company Holiday luncheon today. The food was just amazing. The customer service we received from Anthony & his staff from the moment we contacted them thru the event today was just fantastic. They made everything go so smoothly. We can not recommend them enough for any event you may have.

I cannot recommend Chef Shane and his staff enough. They catered our wedding at Rock Hill Plantation House and it was beautiful and DELICIOUS. People are still talking about the mac and cheese as well as the kindness of their staff. They were definitely the more affordable of the two caterers allowed by Rock Hill(the other looked at my wish list and then at my budget and was pretty rude about it which sucked) but Chef Shane quickly came up with a menu and set up that would fit within my budget AND be exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate that he took the time to match our dinner to our wedding’s style. We served everything family style which our guests loved. There was no awkward buffet, the food was plentiful and delicious, and they were wonderfully flexible. They wonderful about making sure my husband and I actually got something to eat at our wedding, bringing us appetizers and drinks during while we were doing photos and having plated dinners ready for us the minute we were able to sit down. They know what their doing and they do it VERY well. Also the tasting was SOMUCHFUN. We laughed and loved every minute of it. It wasn’t stressful at all and there was no pressure to add/upgrade anything.

Caroline Street recently catered our wedding(70 guests) at Stevenson Ridge and we were very pleased! The food was pretty good — the spinach salad, cheese and fruit platters, and dessert spread were especially GREAT! Service was fantastic! Caroline Street was responsive and flexible during the entire planning process and made everything go along smoothly. Thanks Caroline Street!

«Liberal» is not something much appreciated in Fredericksburg – but it has nothing to do with food. Caroline Café is not cheap for this area – but you have to pay for fresh ingredients. Everything they make is fresh, light and tasty. A fellow diner once got the gazpacho and loved it. Their white bean soup is also delicious – and all homemade. Yes, that costs more than McDonalds. The sandwiches are also delicious, the bread is crusty and fresh, often infused with various herbs and the meat is high quality. My favorite sandwich there was a rosemary roast beef on french bread with tomato, lettuce, red onion and horseradish mayonnaise. The menu changes often because the people running the restaurant like to play around with the freshest ingredients of the season. The atmosphere is a pleasant café setting with art from local artists on the walls. Overall, it is a nice place to stop for lunch while shopping in Old Town. Oh and I almost forgot, the potato salad is sooo good!

This Café is the reason some«Liberal Small Business Owners» annoy the bejeebers out of me. We stopped in here for lunch this week and racked up a $ 30 bill for 2 Sandwiches that come with potato salad, 2CUPS(not bowls) of soup, and 2 drinks. $ 30… The staff was very nice, I’ll give them that, but how can you justify that price. I’ve been in this business for 9 years now and I can tell you that’s not fair market value. To make things worse the food wasn’t even that good. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich, potato salad side, and Broccoli and Cheddar soup. The Sandwich was covered in too much mustard, the pork was flavorless and overcook, and the ham was simple honey ham. The combination was just a Ham Sandwich all said and done. The potato salad had such large pieces of celery that I think there was only 6 little pieces of potato in the whole thing. The soup had a decent flavor but the consistency was something gelatinous that came from a can. Also it left me burping it’s flavor for about 12 hours, guess my stomach didn’t love it either. I won’t go back, not as long as the food is mediocre and the prices are sky high.
