Went in on Sunday to take Jay’s Burger Challenge. There was a game on, and though the crowd was large and loud, the place was relaxing and service was fast. Our waiter kept moving fast, and the manager came over to personally congratulate me for beating the challenge.
I’ll definitely come back again to grab a bite sometime. By the way, Jay’s burgers taste great — all 3lbs of them.

I’m torn on this place. The food was great, the customer service was excellent. But we went there to watch college football on a Saturday night. They have a countless number of TVs but NO AUDIO. They had music blasting the whole night. If you’re a sports bar, pick a game, play the audio and be a sports bar. if you want to be a dance club then play music.

I would have given Jay’s 4 stars if our entrees hadn’t taken forever to come out. Our waitress was really nice about it but blamed the slowness on the kitchen and the amount of large groups. She should’ve taken the appetizer off our bill, but didn’t.
The mac and cheese bites are AMAZING but it’s a very small portion size for 8 $.
I had the buffalo chicken pizza flat bread and it was yummy! A good portion size so that I didn’t leave feeling stuffed, but still satisfied.
My boyfriend had the fried egg sandwich, which he seemed to enjoy.
I’d come back here again!

Great atmosphere. We had a half price bottle of wine (happy hour 11 – 8 Mon-​Sat) and appetizer and some food. Out server was great, and when I modified my food order suggested something similar that saved me some money. We ended up playing some pool (10 $ an hour) and hanging out for a fee hours. Love the friendliness of the staff and the fantastic atmosphere!

Came here with some friends for a chill night in town and the atmosphere is awesome! They have billboards, pingpong, and darts. There’s enough seating in the bar for big groups. Definitely a great place for small or big groups! They also have a bunch of tvs with sports channels. Great place!

Recently went here for the first time. The last time I had been here it was Sullivans. Looks completely different now as Jays. I really dig the atmosphere, décor, overall look and feel. Staff is super friendly. The food I tried was good (Pickle fries were BOMB) and it wasn’t overpacked or overcrowded. I thought the drinks were a little on the pricey side compared to other bars, but it’s been a while since I’ve been out so maybe it was just a shock to the system to pay $ 20 for two beers LOL. I would definitely come back here!

Great atmosphere. Decent beer selection. I’m enjoying a Bourbon Barrel Stout at the moment. Crisp, tastes like a brown, yet is dark like a stout. I look forward to seeing what else this establishment has to offer.

This place is great! Nothing at all like the Jays on Rt. 3. The place has great beer selections with $ 10 100oz beer tubes on Mondays. Theres not a bad seat in the building to watch a game since there are tvs everywhere you look. The food is great (get the fried mac n cheese bites and the french fry fried pickles). They have a lot to do there including ping pong, darts, pool, and foosball. The bar is long, but they also have sofas if you want to just hang out and relax. There are also table booths if you want too. The staff is really friendly, and i will keep coming back. Definatley one of the best bars on Fredericksburg.

Fantastic! Amazing bartenders and really great food! This place is located where Sullivans used to be in downtown Fredericksburg and they use the space very well. They have a long bar, exposed kitchen, and soooooo many televisions. I had a great time! They had a great crowd, with both young and old customers. The only thing I have a concern about is the pool table and darts area. They’re way too close together.

Third time was the third strike, apps are worse when there is a crowd. Must be over whelmed in the kitchen. Bouncers were forcing people out the door before the UFC fight even finished. We were still waiting on our bill and they closed the bathrooms. Refused to let my girl friend use the restroom as I was closing out the bill. This will be the last time we bring a group to this place.

Just starting out this month. We’ve been here two times. Taking advantage of the 30% off entire menu introductory month of November. This place is big and we frequented the previous 3 of 4 restaurants that didn’t stay in business here. A sports bar for downtown seems like a good bet. Service has been great.
Food has been good so far. We’ve only tried appetizers and Wings. We loved the hummus/​pita app, crab cakes were delicious and crab quesadilla good too. Wings were ok. Cheesecake was pretty darn good.
Happy hour 3:00 — 8:00pm is $ 3 beers (very limited selection of 3), half price bottles of wine and half price appetizers (11 out of 13). Otherwise a good selection of beers.
We’ll update when we’ve been back a few times.
