Applebee’s

I’m a tough «grader,» but I have to say that this place has the BEST service I’ve experienced in many years. And I eat out 2 – 3 times per week.
And the food is superb!

We haven’t been to Applebee’s for quite a while due to a bad experience, however we decided to give it another go.
Unfortunately the food wasn’t the best, but the wife didn’t mind hers. I had the chicken tenders which didn’t have much flavour & were fairly dry. You basically had to drown them in sauce to make them edible.
On the other hand, service was awesome. A guy by the name of Michael was our primary server, however I think it was Stephanie that did also ensure that we were looked after and offered to get us more drinks. Could not fault the service at all. Pity the kitchen let down the experience.

Just left here because the server got our drinks and left us sitting there while he talked with three other customers. We never got asked our appetizers to start with while sitting there waiting. I finally had enough and got up and walked out, unbelievable! I hope this never happens to anyone else

I haven’t been to Applebee’s in at least 7 years and now I remember why. Their food is just plain disgusting. While looking through the menu, my boyfriend said, «now I remember why I don’t come to Applebee’s, their menu sucks!» The server talked me into getting the peach sangria and it was so watered down. Feeling so irritated. I hate paying for inadequate food. My server will get his 20%, why should he suffer because the food sucks?! Going back to not going back to Applebee’s.

Food sucks, service is not too good either. Eating the steak was like chewing on rubber, chicken was burnt to the point where nobody could eat it. Never coming here again.

Very disappointed in service and food in this location. We have enjoyed Applebee’s in Vero Beach, FL and in NH and MA. Our waiter barely spoke to us. Steak was tough. Lime chicken had a smokey flavor. The wine was subpar period. Bar empty.

Suck. We came in no server came. Another family came in someone went and shoot the shit with them and told them let me go get someone for yall cause I’m off. They got helped first and when she finally came to us she had this attitude like we were running here time over at the bar. The food is just lack luster. Only went because it was like one of the few places open. Ugh

This place came through for us by being open late night on a Sunday! Manager was manning the bar and was super attentive– we changed our order twice after exploring the menu and it was no problem. Applebee’s wouldn’t have been our first choice but it all worked out fantastic tonight.

Had dinner at this location. When I entered the bar was nearly empty. I arrived around 730. Bartender was attentive for the first 30 seconds and then it was sketchy. However I don’t totally blame bartender for bad service, the manager was clearly a lazy mananger. He was asking bartender to do things he could easily have taken care off. His laziness caused everyone at bar to have a not so good experience. 1 star for this location for the poor management

Came back here after hearing about them being open late and having half price apps. Actually really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. A lot better than my experience before. Will be back to try some new things on the menu.

We were intending to go to the Plank Road location for the Tuesday Kids Night, but that was a detail my wife forgot to tell me. Needless to say, the Southpoint location does not have the Tuesday Kids Night events and activities. Nor, do they have AC. After discovering the mistake, we promptly paid for our drinks and left. Fortunately, it was only 90 outside, which was much cooler than inside the restaurant. First and last time at this location.

Service is horrible and the manager (Rita) does not have the typical table manners that would expect from a manager. Actually, she’s very rude. Other wait staff are mostly friendly but suffer because of the way this establishment is managed. Do yourself a favor go elsewhere, there are too many other choices.

I went in with two other people, they didn’t seem very busy and we were seated right away. There were several problems from the beginning though:
The first one was the waitress seemed like she hated her job and it was a burden to be talking to us. We ordered our drinks and waited. And waited. It seemed like she forgot about its honestly because that is how long it took.
The next one was the host who seated us came over and said the waitress was busy and he would take our orders. When we told him what we wanted he didn’t write it down so we were all a little skeptical that he would remember.
When our waitress finally came over to check on to see if our orders were correct she told us what the guy had remembered for us. They were all off slightly. He said that I ordered a shrimp instead of chicken. She then fixed our orders.
When she came back she complained about how they are short staff today or something. I don’t know. But honestly I didn’t care. I’m sorry you are short staff, or whatever is happening. There was hardly anyone in there. Don’t make excuses for your job. Yes you may apologize to me, but don’t give me an excuse blaming other people.
I was hoping she would give us a discount or something for how long it took for everything but she didn’t
The food was good at least. And I ordered a mixed drink, I don’t remember what it was, some summer blended thing I believe, that was good too.
Hopefully they were all just having an off day.

My lunch today…
$ 4.99 for a lukewarm, mediocre «bowl» of chili? I think not! It was more like a ramekin of chili. To call it a BOWL is a stretch of someones imagination. Could not have been more than 8 fl oz. One lil pack of crackers. Had to send it back to the kitchen for re-​heating.
Add $ 1.99 for a minuscule cup of coffee, that was only re-​filled once.
Add Tax + tip and I’m at $ 10 for lunch.
I have no issue paying $ 10 + for a Friday lunch, but when I leave the restaurant… I don’t usually stop at Wawa for something to eat! Do you know how much food you can buy at Wawa for $ 10?
Poor value for the money spent. If you like this kind of chain restaurants… Eat @ Chilis or even Wawa. :)
Applebee’s is always a disappointment.

Great food & quick service. Try the quesadilla burger. Ask for Michel I., she is the best waitress there. The maple blonde is the best dessert!
