Stopped by here on our way back from a trip. The hot weather called for a stop for a smoothie and since there wasn’t a smoothie king around, this was the closest to the interstate. Ordered the Island Green which has spinach, kale, mango, pineapple & banana. Delicious and healthy!!! The spinach or kale is not overpowering because of the fruit. Had the right amount of sweetness. It came in a 24oz size for 4.99, it would have been a lot more at another smoothie store. Service was fine. The girl was nice and our drinks came out fast. It wasn’t a busy location.

I used to love tropical smoothie back in hometown but this franchise sucks. My drink here is usually a hit or a HUGE miss. The customer service is absolutely horrible. I’ve never seen customer service this bad. Will not be returning.

Suggest you read the nutritional info on everything you order since there are some unpleasant surprises.

Smoothies are really yummy. Tried a sandwhich from the Central Park a few days ago and it was alright. I will have to try something different next time. But my favorite flavor is Island Fever and they still make it even though it’s no longer on the menu.

I had a fabulous experience at this location!
*Pros*
–Friendly staff at 7:00 in the morning! I was impressed with how bright and bubbly the young lady was.
–Variety! There are a good 10+ smoothie flavors to choose from that all sounded delicious. Wait, unless it had coconut. That would be gross.
–Helpful staff! 7:00am + Choices= Panic attack for this indecisive gemini! I was able to list what fruits I was in the mood for, and what my needs were (weight loss, protein, energy, etc…) and she recommended something right up. And boy was it tasty!
–Price is right! I believe I paid just under $ 5 for a LARGE smoothie!
*Cons*
–Wasn’t really hip in terms of décor, but I was in and out anyways.
–Took forever and a day for the credit card machine to «warm up,» and read my card. This kind of doesn’t bode well for the busy in and out experience you’re going for before work in the mornings.
*Verdict*
–This will be my go to breakfast spot when I’m on location for my client.

I am always completely satisfied with my visits to this Tropical Smoothie Café. The atmosphere and décor reminds me of my many trips to the Caribbean, and puts me in the mood for a healthy tropical meal — which the friendly staff is all too happy to provide. Want a place to eat outside on a nice day? Comfortable outdoor dining is available as well. I go here almost every day for a breakfast smoothie. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and makes me feel like they value my business. Amber, Grace, and Rachel are usually there to greet me with a smile. They are great at making recommendations, as their familiarity with the menu is impressive. I also like how Tropical Smoothie Café is involved with charity organizations and regularly have donation opportunities. A clean, well run restaurant that provides great customer service and delicious food — Tropical Smoothie Café at Southpoint Parkway doesn’t disappoint.
