Starbucks

Just had a great experience at SB. I messed up an order from my phone which caused some confusion. They offered the «unique» drink and to remake it with the normal recipe. Best customer experience I have had in a while.

I want to give 0 stars! This place is a DISASTER and management needs to take a look.
I am a huge fan of starbucks and always start off my day with an iced americano. I was staying at the Marriott across the street from this SB for business.
Today I come in and while in line, a hispanic woman (i assumed shes a manager the way she was barking orders at everyone — especially Carlos, more later) yells at me asking what I want. I was hungry and wanted something from their baked section so I was thinking and she yells to the person behind me saying «Sir come over, this person clearly isnt ready.» Like she was waiting 10 minutes for me…
I was already pretty upset at the rude service, but I was equally shocked at how she continued to yell at her employees and kept calling out Carlos for all the guests to hear. «Carlos, WHAT DO YOU WANT, Carlos, THATS NOT HOW WE DO IT, etc» I felt really bad for the guy…
The other guests and I was just starring in disbelief… the final straw was my drink — a strawberry banana smoothie, and they forgot the banana… I didnt have time to wait around for a remake so I just left. $ 4.50 in the drain…
What a waste of time and energy… DO NOT COME HERE!

This is the WORST Starbucks I have ever been to. I ordered a mango smoothie for almost $ 6 for my kids to share. I asked that it be out into 2 cups. I was told NO… The manager, at least I think it was the mgr, said that if they out it in 2 cups it would be like getting 2 drinks. I then asked for 2 smaller cups, which she gave me. I asked her what the difference was between them putting it into these 2 smaller cups or me putting it into 2 smaller cups. Again she said they couldn’t do it. Really Starbucks? I pay almost $ 6 for a not-​at-​all-​worth-​it smoothie and you can’t split it into 2 smaller cups? Never will I go to this establishment again!!!

My boyfriend encountered the rude older Hispanic woman that Christine S. spoke about. She clearly hates her job and it comes across to the customers. She was extremely rude and loud to him. He asked for her manager and she said she was in charge. But, apparently the real manager was standing two feet away listening to the conversation, but would not identify herself. When he called to complain about her, the manager said that this employee saw him hitting a child in the store, a total lie. Her manager said she was in the store and heard the whole thing. He asked her why she didn’t identify herself when he asked to speak with the manager. None of this makes any sense. Really, all this just to get a cup of coffee???
His question is, «Why would Starbucks keep someone like her who clearly hates her job and treats customers with such disrespect?» His only crime was that he just wanted a hot cup of coffee.

Starbucks is Starbucks. You get some crappy ones and you get some decent ones. If you come on a Thursday at 3:30pm, you’ll get a decently empty Starbucks with no line. I was able to get in and get out in under 5 minutes. And the baristas were very no nonsense. Starbucks is one of those places I don’t want to have a conversation with the person taking my order so I’m glad I didn’t have to. She only asked me for my name which I liked.
But then again, I got the new mango black tea lemonade. I’m sure that’s one of the easiest things to make there.

Poor customer service. I was drinking my coffe and eating my cookie on an outside table, and by the time I was done, they closed the coffee shop. I knocked on the door asking to use the restroom but the barista just waved with her hand that they’re closed. Thank You Starbucks for an amazing customer service.

This afternoon I arrived in Starbucks. I wanted to drink my usual coffee like everyday Wednesday. As usual the coffee shop is clean and the environment is just perfect. I have enough space and privacy to learn talk and chat with friends. The place is so clean and I was so surprised to see the bathroom spotless. thank you very much!

I brought in a Jamba Juice in and I was going to pay for a Iced Black Tea Lemonade. As soon as I walked in, a young girl yelled at me, «No outside foods and drinks sir!». I’m shocked because I have brought outside food and drinks to Starbucks and this is the first time I have been ordered to not bring in outside food and drink. I complained to the manager on duty and she said that this is a new policy that there is no food and drinks from outside that is allowed in the facility. She said I was welcomed to take the drink outside and sit on the patio but not in the facility? It doesn’t make any sense. You might as well ban outside food and drinks within 20 feet of your facility. I have never had any problems bringing outside food and drinks, let alone I also a regular paying customer. I am not interested in coming back and might consult with corporate on this policy of outside food and drink. I’m sure you are allowed to bring in outside food and drink as long as you purchase something in the facility. I know not all Starbucks are like this but I would not recommend this Starbucks to anyone. I might as well travel to another Starbucks where I am more welcomed to bring in outside food and drink as long as I regularly purchase something at Starbucks.

Friendly cashier but super slow service. People that ordered after me had their drinks before I did.

This Starbucks may not have the best seating inside, but no matter how long a line I always get through quick and am satisfied with the customer service. Not like the other Starbucks on park Pl where they mess up my drink and get upset with me because THEY MESSED IT UP. Love it here outside seating is comfortable and warm and sunny.

Power mat and a Clover machine here? I could be here all day. Especially with the way the weather has been. I can keep my electronics charged and get ultra caffeinated. Good Ethiopian Konga on the clover and a nice day to sit outside. Lazy Sunday

Well it’s my local Starbucks. Great location so it can get busy in the morning or at lunch time. I usually go and grab a iced coffee after work or a hot chai before work. The parking is small so you would have to wait for a few minutes to get a spot.

Rude service. The manager needs to be retrained on customer service skills!
Service was abrupt and uncaring. If this manager doesn’t like to work here she should seek employment elsewhere.

Love this location half the time (when the friendly employee’s are working) and then there are days like today where I’m fairly sure that if the gal who made my drink were to smile or not be so ride or in todays case — not roll her eyes after I politely corrected her about my drink being wrong, she might just drop dead on the spot. I love the starbucks in Safeway but unfortunately they don’t serve warm food which routes me to this location when I’m hungry for a delicious breakfast sandwich. Again… ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chance that they actually make the sandwich and don’t just have me standing there until 5 minutes after I get my drink just to let me know that they’re out. Wish I could predict when the friendlier employee’s were working, would easily be a 5-​star location. Tons of outdoor seating here as well.

Great location and the interior design is great! There are plenty of couch seating here and the ambiance is good for students trying to focus on their studies.

The service is wonderful like you place your Order then like min 2 minutes your drink is ready, This SB location is my Fave, all the staff members are really nice, friendly and very welcoming.
The area is very clean, the outdoor very peaceful great place to enjoy a good time with your friends or to study if you like.
very good taste of music & relaxing too, that’s a plus.

So some of problems were solved, place looks much cleaner now specially outside which looked a zoo trash. The staff could improve substantially to became friendly. Also, it’s 18:30 and very few pastries… come on… really…whats next… out of coffee???

I’m utterly disappointed by the customer service at this Starbucks location. It first started when I approached the counter and had my order taken by a young lady with oversized glasses and short hair. The way she took my order was as if she didn’t even want to be there and I was causing her such a hassle. Obviously she did her job and took my order with a look of distaste on her face. Keep in mind i ordered a few drinks that were just simple drinks no substitutions of any kind so I’m still confused at this point why her attitude was so standoff-​ish and not warm like all the other locations.
Sure enough I got all of my drinks at once but one was made wrong! I had asked the barista (young man/​blonde hair) to remake it to my liking and he did it with a smile. As I looked over, the same chic rolled her eyes and looked even more mad making me feel like I was wasting their time.
Look here lady. You work in a customer service based industry. You may not be here for many years but us patrons go into a company like this to enjoy a cup of coffee served by pleasant people. It’s all about the experience as well.
2 Stars because the young man barista served me with a smile, apologized and gave me a coupon for a free drink on my next visit. Luckily this location has a professional representative like him to make up for the unpleasantness of his other coworkers.

I just wanted to give this location props for always being friendly and getting my drink to me quickly. The center parking lot is terrible, but just figure out that you park in the extended part of the lot and walk over and you will have a pleasant visit.
I work close by, so it is important to me to be able to get a drink or bite quickly and they get it done here. It is also a quick half block from the freeway entrance, when I stop on my way home.

Coffee, beverage, and pastries that are absolutely not my style whatsoever.
But the following more than makes up for it with
Free WiFi access (hey buy a drink or something to eat first) for the laptop campers, the employees that need a jolt in the AM before going into work nearby, the venture capitalists, the startup company employees, the slackers, the «need inspiration on work projects and feel that *$ can revitalize their creative juices outside the cubicles and synergies BS» (aka another way of saying slackers, or their asses are on the line and need a breakthrough), and the locals who like to schmooze with each other like an episode of Cheers or at Moe’s (Simpsons).
and more importantly, the manager’s/store’s excellent taste in music that is played during the mornings that I’ve dropped by

Morrissey (wonder if he has recovered from his pneumonia since being admitted to a hospital in SF… dude needs to remix some meat, prime rib, cha siu, wild salmon with omega threes into his diet, seriously… he keeps collapsing on stage and looks rather ill that he had to cancel his tour!)

and other classics from that era. And if you want to buy the new Depeche Mode for whatever reason, they have it in stock as of late last week (which is an interesting change over the hippie stoner or soft rock, or jazz and blues music other branches carry).
