What’s going on at this place? I count 7 people working. No one has any idea what they are supposed to be doing so they are all standing around while there is a growing line of customers. After 20 mins I went up to find out what happened to my pizza and they couldn’t figure out where it went. If I wasn’t hungry this would be funny. It’s like watching an episode of the Three Stooges

Not bad pizza if you build it right. The issue is consistently bad service. Observed manager disrespecting employees– seems the power went to his head. I could put up with this if I were able to get a pizza in less than a half hour. Tonight I had to walk out due to length of line and wait. This is partially due to lack of food options in foster city, but also due to slow slow service. After a pizza goes in it is typically 10 – 15 minutes to cook(usually ~2x advertised time). Just good luck not going insane while waiting to build your pizza. If your business model can not handle a dinner or lunch rush, perhaps it should be re-examined.

Okay great place. You get your money’s worth. I mean come on. I paid $ 20, and got TWO pizzas to share with my friend. What more can you ask for? Like okay sure this place isn’t Vesta or Tony’s or Zero Zero or anything all holy and high and mighty. This place is like Chipotle except lowkey better because you get unlimited toppings. And then you have the dessert pizza that literally costs $ 2.50, which is a grab by anyone’s standard. Yeah, 5 stars solid.

Went there last night. It took 25 minutes to get to the counter with only 6 customers ahead of us. The staff was working in slow motion. The manager at the register seemed confused. We ordered 4 pizzas. 3 came. Waited 10 additional minutes before they brought number 4 to the table. It was the wrong one. Luckily I rushed back to the counter and was able to catch the customer that was going to leave with mine. Service has gone down hill from when they first opened. It should not take over 40 minutes to get your food

For $ 9 to create your own pizza why bother buying and chopping everything at home. One pizza can def make 3 meals since it is so large and topped with some many fresh veggies and meat if so you chose. I loved the herb butter and pesto sauce instead of the traditional marinara. I love the assortment of fresh veggies so go nuts cause it’s healthy for you. There is a whole wheat crust option if you are feeling extra healthy. I loved everything I go except the buffalo chicken. It tasted too artificial, the texture was soft like jello and flavor was totally processed. I did like the meatball and sausage bits. I did try one of the pepperoni on my fiancé’ pizza and it wasn’t bad. Crisped up like little bacon bits when tossed into the oven.

A very creative and great way to eat pizza. My combination was fantastic. Don’t get too excited when selecting ingredients, bcoz pizza ends up being too much.

I love pieology! there are days that I crave a «pizza Bianca» or a «white pie» and this is my go-to… you can’t really say the food sucks because you can design your own pizza, but what I will say is their customer service is awesome! they surprised me today with a «on the house» choc churro pizza only because they recognize that I’m such a frequent visitor! thanks guys! see you soon!

I recently became vegan and my boyfriend wanted pieology tonight. We showed up at 9:30(they close at 10) and I hesitantly asked the girl(Andrea?) if the dough contained eggs. She said that she believed the gluten free crust didn’t have eggs, so I chose that. I told her that I wanted sauce, and then she asked«any cheese?» and I said no, no cheese. I had resigned myself to a cheese– less pizza. Then she says: «we have vegan cheese.?» I have to say that as a 3 week old vegan who’s slightly embarrassed to ask ingredient questions at restaurants, she was suddenly the best person EVER for offering. So, five stars because I felt super special that they carry Daiya which I wasn’t expecting or hoping for. The crust was great and all of the ingredients were super fresh, especially considering it was the end of the day. Dining area was spotless! Finally, Bryan rung us up at 9:40 and asked if it was dine in or to go. We were starving so we decided to eat there. The staff tonight seriously all get 5 stars. There wasn’t bad attitudes from anyone and they were all happy and helpful. We ate like crazy(yum!) and walked out the door at 9:58 so everyone could go home. The whole time we were eating, more customers kept trickling in and they didn’t turn anyone away. New favorite location. Absolutely fantastic customer service and food!

Excellent place! Fresh dough, unlimited toppings and generous stuff. We ordered classic margarita and weren’t disappointed. It was actually great! The way the place works is you first select sauce as your base: tomato, butter or herb. Then you choose cheese: feta, mozzarella, Parmesan, ect. You can have half and half or even multiple cheeses. Then you are faced to their toppings galore. And remember You can have as many as you want. No, really. They would be happy to add as many as you asked. No judgement or even frowning. Then you just get your number and wait for about 10 minutes before ridiculously delicious pizza come out. Pieology– you set standards pretty high for all other thin crust pizza places!

Well i had higher hopes for this place(pretty website and cute name), but its still not bad. Line can be long for weekend lunch. Thin crust is a bit tough. Toppings are standard issue ingredients altho the huge variety is nice for customization. They do have lots of seating and spacious, great for casual hangout time. So theres a lot of value in that Blaze is a similar 3-minute pizza concept(but partially owned by lebron), their pizza would be much better if the sauce wasnt so sweet.

Build your own pizza, not much else to it. You can even do half and half to customize each half of your pizza if you’re sharing or if you just want another flavor. Unlimited veggie and meat options! The only downside is that they seem to be pretty slow but you still get a crispy and delicious pizza out of it.

The new era of customization has arrived. Out with the«make your own burrito» and in with the«make your own pizza». But on the real, why did it take so long for a place like this to open? Located right next to the Costco, the lines for Pieology go surprisingly fast while the pizzas only take minutes to make. And they’re big. For ~$ 10, it’s money well spent. I have however, found myself craving Costco pizza more often than Pieology. Not sure why but maybe the $ 1.50/slice deal plays a part. Yup. I just said that I like Costco pizza. NOSHAME.

I don’t usually like pizza. But when you’re offered unlimited toppings with a deliciously thin crust & fresh made pizza for an amazing price, I’m all for it :)

Having grown a fondness for made-to-order personal pizza(aka Blaze in Fremont), I had to try Pieology near my workplace. 3 stars for the taste, it was OK. I cant help but compare, the toppings & sauces were not as flavorful. :( Minus 1 star for being burnt. I had made the mistake of not checking my takeout order prior to leaving, and ended up with a burnt surprise. Minus 1 star for the wrong sauce. They had put barbecue sauce drizzle on my pesto pizza instead of pesto. Plus 2 stars for the great customer service and correcting the errors. Since the pizza was not edible, I called the store and they said I can come back for a new pizza on the house. The gal on the phone was apologetic and took my information and made sure she relayed my info to the crew on the next shift. I would consider trying it again if the mood strikes.

I love this pizza place! If you like thin, crispy crust oven-baked pizza freshly baked, this is the place to go. I came here on a Saturday at 1pm after a weekend Costco run. There was a line to order, and it took a long time, but it was worth the wait. Basically you line up to order, choose your crust, cheese, and toppings, and then they bring the pizza to you. You can also order from their menu of pizzas if you have a hard time choosing the toppings. There is only one size and you just choose the topping you like, so it’s super easy to order and you don’t have to stress yourself out trying to figure out how and what to order. One size, one plate, one size drinks, one to-go box for leftovers that is already ready for you by the drinks. I ordered the classic Margherita pizza and the Rustic Vegetable pizza. Both were delicious; however, I do have to say the rustic vegetable was my favorite. The ricotta cheese made it exquisite. I also ordered iced tea and they had four different kinds you can choose from! I will definitely come back. I was complaining to my husband that there weren’t great options for lunch in that foster city/bridgepoint area, but now I know where to go. I wish they had one in downtown San Mateo.

I’d give the food a 3 star rating, but the service puts Pieology at 4 stars — and you can’t beat the price. All you can top toppings on a huge(8 slice) pizza pie. And it really is ALLYOUCANTOP for $ 8. It’s basically two meals in one. You can also create an all you can mix in salad for roughly the same price. The fixings aren’t mind blowing, but again, it’s a good deal for the quantity and the ingredients are fresh. How it works: You order, they make your pizza in front of you, they pop it in the fire oven, you pay, they bring it to your table — and it’s fresh and hot. But it’s the service that makes this place great — friendly, prompt and they even come around to ask if you’re enjoying your meal. Keep up the great vibe!

I had been to the Pieology in Fremont and thought it was good… for thin pizza. I went to the Foster City location last week. The best part of Pieology is the unlimited toppings. So, I ordered Canadian bacon, double chicken, double bell peppers, spinach, mushrooms, cucumbers, carrots, double pineapples, and double sauce. The problem here was everything tasted… bland. The sauce, the cheese, and the toppings were all bland. At around 11:50 am on a weekday, it took 26 minutes from first getting into line to receiving our pizzas. That’s far too long of a wait for a thin pizza! I don’t know why the Fremont Pieology was so much better. At both places, because the pizzas were so thin, I was still hungry after eating the whole pizzas. Overall grade: C–

Great customer service! We usually try to steer clear of chain restaurants, but we received a gift card. We came here thinking it would be another cookie cutter restaurant, but ended up with such great customer service. I wanted a veggie pizza, but the wheat dough was not ready. So they went ahead and made my boyfriend’s pizza first. They have great options to choose from, but what I like best is that you can add additional toppings to whatever pizza they have recommended. Or you can build you own! We had some issue with using the gift card and the manager on duty did not even make it hard for us. He gave us suggestions and who to contact. Thank you for such a great experience. I hope this location does well. Will definitely be back to try all the other combinations of pizza!

This isn’t my first pie! So this location just opened up in Foster City(located at the old Freebird/Boston Market). I came in during the prime of lunch, so I of course expected a line, it was about the same as what you would see at Chipolte. I was probably in line for about 10 – 15 minutes. I ordered a pizza and cinnamon sticks. By the time I got to the front of the line, my order was ready, but as this is a new restaurant and that just don’t have it quite together, it took them another 10 min to get it boxed and cut. Still the pizza is tasty and a great value!!!
