Pretty good meatloaf. Meatloaf is the only thing I eat in Boston Market. All of their other dishes are mediocre or lacking in flavor. Also, I really don’t like their cornbread… It smells funny and tastes funky… But meatloaf… Mmmm… It’s good.

After living in Virginia my whole life, I finally eat at Boston Market after moving to Bay Area. I’m a terrible person, I know. I guess the reason why I never went was because I wasn’t quite sure what the franchise had going for it. Pricey rotisserie chicken? Oh right, chicken pot pies. They were out of chicken pot pies(15min ’til the next one), so I grudgingly opted for the 3 piece dark. That is: 3 pieces, 2 sides, and a cornbread for ~7.50! It fed me twice. I chose loaded mash potatoes and vegetable stuffing. Everything turned out to be surprisingly good, and well-priced too. I’ll be back for the chicken pot pie, or whenever I need two meals.

My coworkers and I get our lunches and dinners here pretty frequently, since it’s within walking distance of work, and you can order your food online and then go pick it up. Even though the online order has a time listed on it, the store itself doesn’t actually seem to be hooked up to this system, because while they will take the online order and make it for you, they don’t actually start making it until you get to the register with the order receipt. It doesn’t save any time from just ordering it when you get there, since you still have to wait in line. Do NOT be tempted to try their new Baked Whitefish on Fridays. It is extremely rubbery, like it had been cooked, then frozen for a very long time, then reheated again in a microwave. The breading on it is so salty that I had to wash my mouth out afterward. I tasted the sauce it came with, and I’m not a huge fan of tartar sauce to begin with, but that stuff almost made me gag. That being said, the chicken here is fantastic. I usually get the 3-piece dark, since white meat is almost always pretty dry, and this place is no exception to that. I don’t think their meatloaf is very good, but their beef brisket is amazing. I always get sweet potatoes and their mediterranean green beans as my sides. The corn tastes like it came from a can, the loaded mashed potatoes are delicious but too dry. Their regular mashed potatoes are pretty good, but for some reason they’ll always give you chicken gravy(which is pretty sketchy) with them, even if you order beef brisket. Their beef gravy is far superior, but you’d have to ask them for it if you want it. Even though I have a lot of bad things to say about this place, I still give it 4 stars, because their food is fantastic once you find the thing you like. It took me a few days of trying different sides before I found good ones.

We come here for lunch all the time. Usually just grab our food to go. Lines are fast moving, and everyone there is always friendly to us,(the manager, the servers and Demontra at the register) Love the chicken salad sandwiches here! I’m ’bout ready to take my survey on the bottom of my receipt for a chance to in $ 1,000 cash. Wish me luck !

I found a metal ball bearing imbedded in my corn bread whle dining here for lunch. One employee told me they receive the batter pre-made. Another just shrugged and walked away. Where’s the accountability? It would have been nice for someone to at least apologize. Needless to say, it’s off my list of lunch spots to frequent.

Three piece dark meat and dam got a free drink. They have a lot of choices for sides that makes it really different and good.

My expectations for Boston Market are not high and I expect something pretty standard, but my recent experience was great. 7:40 pm on Thursday evening and my order was to go. Staff was very friendly and the cooks in the back were cheerful and positive. They would sing on occasion. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie but they ran out so they switched it to the ¼ white chicken. ¼ White Chicken — surprisingly moist, juicy, tender, and just plain good. Mashed potatoes — good Spinach side — surprisingly good Corn Bread — ok

i usually love boston market for a quick lunch but today was different. i used a coupon for a free side and it seemed like the guy at the register acted like it was valid and applied it, but it did not go through(didnt notice until way after and meh, it was only $ 0.99LOL). also, my coworker and i ordered some bbq chicken sliders and yes, there was freakin MOLD on the bread! DISGUSTING! i did not bother to go back because i didnt want my moldy bread to be replaced by more moldy bread ok! haha their mac n cheese is good and so was their zesty garlic spinach. they changed the layout of their restaurant and offer plates and silverware for people who dine in instead of the plastic to-go boxes they used to have. and they pick up your plates at your table after you eat. service went up. and they went more green. kudoes to that. but quality is not great. wont be back after this experience. sorry!

First time at Boston Market. The chicken was perfect and shockingly good, crispy skin, juicy, yet fully cooked meat. Fall off the bone. However, the sides dishes and gravy were crap. The gravy was watery and the roast potatoes were so undercooked as to be practically white. After seeing the caloric value of their meals I probably won’t return.

I love Boston Market. I’ve loved it since it was Boston Chicken(that doesn’t even sound right anymore). Wifey’s first memory of us eating together was at Boston Market(I don’t even really remember that time). Sarcasm section: We went here when we were really hungry. Fortunately, we got incredibly lucky and ended up with the only trainee in the store to take our order. Just like any good trainee, he managed to get each of our 3 orders wrong and also had to go back to previous orders to correct them and then go through our orders again. Not only that, but the salad was tossed with all the ingredients with feta cheese in it, when we specifically told him no feta cheese. Maybe he thought repeating that specific request back to us would make up for his inability to find that button on the cash register. Since the hunger pangs were comforting us with each passing moment, we didn’t mind waiting for them to make a salad to our request. End sarcasm section. They gave us a coupon for buy 1 dinner get 1 free that was attached to the receipt as we paid. But when we came back again(don’t ask me why) to use that coupon, only 1 person in the entire place knew how to use it. Maybe they don’t expect people will return. But the reason for 3 stars? This is the ultimate comfort food restaurant, and after that coupon, we had 2 dinners for about $ 6 and change total. That is a deal. You can also use Starbucks’ wi-fi that is nearby.

I’m probably a very atypical Boston Market-er. Most come for the hot chicken, sandwiches, and rich sides like mashed potatoes and cream of spinach… I come for the $ 2.99 soup with free refills. I usually order the chicken noodle(with the thickest, yummiest noodles ever!) but have also tried the chicken tortilla soup too which is also yummy. The tortilla soup comes with cheese and crispy tortilla strips to put on top… and, they have a nice little area with sriracha and other hot sauces too! :) So, while the soups may not be the very healthiest soups ever, they are a good price-value, delicious, and probably one of the healthier options at this Market! Another good option is the $ 5.50 deal with the soup, a little caesar salad, and corn bread! They put the calorie content up on the menu board too but you might want to cover your eyes instead of looking at that!!!

They had one of these deals last week during Tax Day where you printed a coupon that was«Buy one individual meal, Get one individual meal» for Free, so we went for it. On this diet, We are looking for better/healthier meal options. Boston Market has great meals under 550/calories( ). I opted for the appetizing ¼ White Rotisserie Chicken, Vegetable Stuffing & Cinnamon Apples, My wife got the ¼ White Rotisserie Chicken, Vegetable Stuffing & Steamed vegetables. Let me say this… For being low-calorie/proper portioned meals, These were truly delicious. Not a place I would go to every day but def maybe once a week if I can afford it. Real delicious. Get there before 530pm to avoid the big DINNERLINES.

One of my favorite meals is Thanksgiving Dinner. But I wonder why we call it «dinner» when in fact we usually sit down to have«dinner» around lunch time? There are not many places you can score a Thanksgiving meal on a whim, but Boston Market is one of the few where you can. Last night I picked up a turkey meal deal for 3(me, my wife and our cat) which included a generous portion of turkey breast, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, gravy and cranberry sauce for around twenty bucks. The quality of the food is not the greatest, but it’s tasty enough to enjoy on a cold rainy evening and after a five flight home.

Came here for the recent $ 1 special for a chicken combo meal. It took us 20 – 25 mins to get our food but damn it was a good deal. However, if you’re coming here just for their regular menu, then make sure to high tail away! BM always has coupons in the mail in some fashion so coming here w/o one is inexcusable! The food as you can see on the BM all around the Bay Area, is inconsistent and mediocre at best. You can get a whole chicken from Costco for the price of a half chicken dinner at BM. In Foster City, the Costco is right across the street so I don’t see how BM can compete!

Pretty good meal… I do enjoy the pot pies and the 3-side meals. Whenever I have a craving for macaroni and cheese, this is the spot especially with that piece of cornbread. The other sides I’m a little ambivalent about, but the vegetables are decent and the country-fried steak is yummy. That’s just about the only actual meat I’ve had here though, but it’s always great for a fast meal.

Gross. Boston Market went through a «re-vamp» project a few years ago, and when they did they got rid of all thier good food. It’s true that service is fast and fairly affordable, and somewhat healthy, but I’m not sure the flavor of the food is worth it. I had the prime rib with mashed potatoes. It was edible, but flavorless… sort of like the food you expect at a nursing home cafeteria. Also, the employees, though nice, seemed to have difficulty figuring out orders. There was a short line but a 15⁄20 minutes wait for food. something wasn’t right. The store itself is clean and very easy to get to– also it’s fairly centrally located in Foster City. I hear that some people like Boston Market. I am not one of the some, and probably will not return.

When you work/live around Foster City, Boston Market is a great alternative to fast food if you’re looking to grab a quick lunch. They have meal deals that are very convenient depending on which day you decide to visit. Everything I’ve gotten from there at one point or another(Turkey, Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Macaroni and Cheese, Cornbread, Vegetables, Sweet Potatoes) is rather tasty.

I was originally going to give this 3 stars because it was mostly an average experience for me, but after seeing how poorly it was rated and definitely not feeling like it is that THAT bad, I’ll give them 4 stars. And you know what, I feel okay about that. I’ve been here already 2x in the past 3 weeks and I almost went there again today for lunch, but decided to get phở instead. The register service was friendly and personally, I feel that it’s all a pretty good deal for what you pay. I’ve had the chicken pot pie for lunch and the meat loaf for dinner on a separate occassion and neither made me sick. When I had the meatloaf, my sister had the chicken pot pie, we had to wait 15 minutes for it(it’s okay, they asked us if we wanted to wait), and while my sisters food was steaming hot, mine was luke warm. As far as side dishes go, the sweet potatoes are a bit TOO sweet, the creamed spinach — can’t compare to House of Prime Rib, but were pretty good and the mashed potatoes hit the spot. The bathroom also smells … it didn’t look dirty, but smelled really mildewy — made worse cause they tried to mask the smell with what was probably dollar store potpourri. In any case, I’d very likely come back here again. $ 7.00 for a chicken pot pie and a side dish and corn bread is a good deal to me — esp. when I can take it home and have the left overs for dinner.
