I love Piranha but I walked in this location for the first time today, sat down at the sushi bar, and saw two small bugs crawling near the food. I alerted the staff as I was walking out… PF Changs it is. I guess I will stick to the Piranha’s close to home in Arlington.

Darrett was the best waiter we have had while on this trip. The sushi was great. Favorite roll — Marry Me. The dirty martini with Tito was excellent.

Just had the ninja roll in leu of the white lotus roll(my go-to) because the waiter(Derret) recommended it. It’s excellent and refreshingly spicy — in no way needs any soy sauce. Do yourself a favor and order this roll. Thanks to Derret of the Ft. Worth location for the suggestion!

Rolls were good. Had a chicken appetizer that was very good. My husband said his sushi was good but nothing extraordinary.

We always have a great experience at piranhas. We went most recently on New Years Eve, early so we could catch happy hour. Our server was really friendly(despite having to work on NYE) and was attentive the entire time. We had a somewhat large order(appetizer, drinks, 7 signature rolls), and without even writing it down, he got everything right. The appetizer came out quickly(chicken spring rolls –my favorite). Tried a new martinis this time and it turned out amazing(spicy pear). The sushi took a while to come out, but that was expected since they are beautiful handcrafted rolls of yum. I guess we ordered so many rolls that it was most efficient to use the sushi boat for serving, an added bonus! It was fun having it served in the boat :) I’m not a sushi expert, but piranhas took me from not liking sushi at all to absolutely loving it. Expect to spend $ 100+ for 2 people.

We had really high expectations from reviews on various sites so we walked over for happy hour. While I was looking at the menu, my husband kept saying…“you had better go look at the fish” — yikes, it was weepy and dark, dry and a little scary looking so we did a quick exit. A clue in a sushi restaurant: if you don’t see a Japanese sushi master behind the counter, take a pass.

We walked to this location while staying at the Hilton downtown. It’s very convenient and easily walk accessible. The restaurant is pretty small, so on a busy night you may need reservations. The hostess asked us if we would be able to leave in an hour and a half as their was an incoming party. This probably isn’t the format I would have posed the question in, but we agreed to the terms and were seated. We had a seaweed salad as an appetizer which was nice. Not a lot of green options on the menu at most places we visited, so it was a nice addition. We ordered sushi and shashimi. The house special Sundance Roll was a little spicy — couldn’t determine if it was just over use of wasabi or something else. Overall, it was the least favorite choice. The Dr. Fran Roll was good. I would probably order this again. The rolls were very generously portioned, although a little more rice than I typically prefer. From other Unilocalers we heard there were great cocktails but I wasn’t really tempted by anything and instead stuck to a season beer. Overall not a bad place, but I think it was a little overrated.

Best sushi in Fort Worth to me so far. I’ve tried Koni Grill and MKs sushi which are my #2 and #3. But Piranhas is my favorite. The fish tastes fresh. I’ve had the salmon, tuna, yellow tuna, and their tuna ahi tower(pardon my spelling). They have signature rolls for everyone. The atmosphere was really nice and modern. We’ve only been at lunch so far. But definitely delicious.

A little pricey but also delicious! I would eat here every day of it wouldn’t make me flat-broke. If you like spicy food like I do, try the Ninja Roll. It’s the reason I frequent this place so much.

I have ventured over to Piranha twice now for lunch. It is one of the few downtown joints that you never have to wait for a table during lunch hour. It’s also the only sushi joint downtown. I don’t count PF Chang’s, which just started serving sushi. I love sitting at the sushi bar. It’s right in the center of the restaurant. Very fun. The lunch specials are great. Both times I have had the sashimi bento. The bento comes with a salad or miso soup to start. I recommend the miso since the bento comes with two salads with your fish. The salads are always a surprise and the fish is chef’s choice. The fish is very fresh and nice sized portions. The wait staff is attentive and super friendly. If you’re craving fish and you’re downtown, Piranha is a great choice.

Delicious food. Great atmosphere. The spider roll was perfection. Crispy inside layered over light wasabi and drizzled with soy sauce. The eel hand roll was scrumptious. Seaweed was nice and crisp. The eel was prepared well. Service was great. Waitress repeatedly came over to make sure everything was good. Will definitely come again!

If I had to venture a guess, I would say that this is as good a sushi as you’re going to get when dining in a land locked state. We ordered about 5 – 6 rolls and 3 – 4 apps. Aka the Fatty Delux Special. Overall, the fish was decent quality. I enjoyed the seared tuna and salmon but I found that the rolls just didn’t really jive. The ingredients just didn’t really go together, and I can’t say that I’d be going out of my way to come back here soon for a big sit down meal like we had. The service was great, the presentation was lovely, and I think everything was fair priced, but going forward, I’ll probably stick to sushi places in the bay states.

We visited this location recently on a rainy night. We’ve been to several of their locations in Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. This particular location has the«happy hour» menu after 10 pm. Some of the other locations discontinued that menu or lied to us about not having it! Whatever the case this one has it. The sushi was fresh and the alcoholic drinks are super delicious. We had a lychee martini and a dirty chocolate martini. At this location it was the service that shined. Our waitress Ashley was absolutely amazing. She was super sweet and very helpful. We’ll be visiting again if we are in the Fort Worth area.

This is my wife’s GOTO sushi place in Fort Worth. She LOVES the Marry Me Roll while I am a fan of the Latino roll. Order one of each, share them, and you have a great compbination with a broad taste profile. The wait staff always seems to be on teh ball and if we bring the little guy they spoil him which we really appreciate. I almost forgot, the tuna tower is pretty good and HUGE so try it.

Piranha Killer Sushi is one of my favorite places in Sundance Square. Is this place for the budget minded??? Oh HELLNO but boy is it some good food. Now I’m no sushi expert and probably more of a novice but the limited rolls I’ve had here have always been reallllllyyyy good. Now the cocktails, their bartenders really know what they are doing and make the best Old Fashioned in town. Great food, service, and cocktails. Just be ready for a meal for two to be around $ 100 plus.

Really enjoy lunch today: stopped in at Piranha’s and got one of their signature salmon rolls called«The Bullet»; it was amazing! This sushi bar is a nice, relaxing atmosphere: made for a perfect light lunch with fantastic flavors. The ice tea had a hint of ginger(I think), which I love. Will be lunching here again :)

We were there with our 4 month old in a stroller and they were able to seat us comfortably with stroller right by us. Our server was attentive, friendly and helpful when we needed help deciding on entrées. We got the Acocado Bomb, looks like a decorated green ball. I love avocado, so yes please experiment away with the green stuff. They thinly sliced avocado and wrapped it around a yummy tuna salad. Messy and fun to eat. Then we ordered the Latino Roll and The White Lotus and they were just ok. The white lotus has a white truffle sauce that is really delicate. If cover your piece in soy sauce or wasabi, you won’t notice it. So have a few pieces with out the usual soy/wasabi mixture. And this is for the girls. If you’re wearing a low cut top and think, «oh my, this roll is too high to get in my mouth In one bite, so I’ll I put it in sideways!» I can do that with a rainbow roll with no problem but don’t do it! The Latino roll had pico de gallo sprinkled on top and when I tried to eat it sideways I got red onion and whatever else that was on top of the roll stuck inside my bra until I could excuse myself from the table. Pirhana is reliable for creative sushi in downtown Fort Worth.

Took my work BFF here for his birthday lunch since we work downtown and it was close by – I got the sashimi bento box and he got the shrimp and vegetable tempura. In addition to my thick slices of salmon, hamachi and tuna sashimi, my box came with a big bowl of hot miso soup, seaweed/mixed green salad, seared ahi tuna/mixed green salad and 4 pieces of a California roll. It was actually a lot of food! I don’t know why I decided to order a tuna hand roll too — I was STUFFED! He was happy with his huge plate of fried goodies, too! Everything was delicious and fresh and the staff was super friendly. We got there a bit early before the lunch crowd came in but by the time we left, the tables started filling up. I’ll be coming back for the lunch bento box again!

I went to this place and wow let me just say the environment is so great. The waiter was so nice and sweet and she even recommended things to try. Everything came out great! Anytime I had trash on the table she cleaned it up immediately. Now the sushi was great, so many cute names for the rolls. Definitely would recommend going here. Will be back soon!
