the sushi was okay, I was expecting more from them. Ive been to a few buffets and they are better than this. but it is cool to hang out with friends and chill for a bit, they have good hour but the drinks are not strong like you want them to be.

Food was delectable. I recommend the Hawaiian roll if you’re not sure whats good on the menu. Unfortunately my date and I were seated in a terrible location. My back was against a blue pillar in front of the bar. The waitresses were very helpful and patient with us because of my date’s language barrier. This was the first time I tried a martini and loved it. The restroom entrance has a red glow which contrasts nicely with the blue décor. The restroom was clean and comfortable.(The ladies room) I plan to become a regular at this location because it is the kind of place that leaves a nice and memorable impression. Great place to create memories.

1 star for the server. She was very nice and as helpful as possible with the restaurant she has to work with. Free edemame at checkin is pretty neat. But the sushi here isn’t very authentic. Lots of sauces and very small portions of the seafood, the main ingredient. The taste is severely lacking, thats for sure. Blue fish in las colinas is the very best, without a doubt. The quality of the food there is much better. The ambiance is much better at blue fish in las colinas. Here its very rowdy, the tables and spaces feel very cramped, and the service is delayed a bit but our person was very nice. We ended cutting it short and got 2 rolls only. They charge you for a pinch of fresh wasabi? Wow… never had a sushi place charge me extra for wasabi. This was definitely a first. I wont be coming here again.

Went with a date on a Tuesday night. Drink specials on bottles for half off. Our host & waiter were friendly. He mentioned the parking situation as well to ensure we don’t get towed. We placed our drink orders first & went with the Hakutsuru cold sake. It was pretty good but I may try something different next time. Started off with some calamari & shrimp tempura. Both were pretty tasty! For our main course, we ordered some salmon sashimi, Spider Maki, & a Rainbow Roll. All of which were delicious! My date had never had the Spider Maki before & was very impressed with it. I don’t usually frequent the Fort Worth area but will definitely have Blue Sushi again when I do!

Great lunch specials, awesome happy hour for sushi rolls and really good cocktails! Even if you go for dinner when everything is full-priced it’s definitely worth it. Sometimes they have rolls off the menu if you ask and like specific things, for example I like spicy so I always ask for the spiciest roll. If you get a salad get the ginger carrot dressing over the wasabi soy dressing. The spicy edamame is a must and you really can’t go wrong with any of the rolls. Really cool interior. They have a huge fish tank over the bar and they have a big screen that the play great movies on.

[ PARKING ] DONOTPARKINTHEBACKLOT, park in the Legacy Texas parking structure across the street [ FOOD ] + Man, for a city that is no where near an ocea, Blue Sushi does a great job making great rolls. + «The Beach» was my all-time favorite, it’s so flavorfu!!! + Get anything(everything?) from the Happy Hour menu! [ AMBIANCE ] + Super modern and trendy– fits well with the other 7th St. restaurants — I’d bring a jacket in here, they like to keep the temps cool + Full bar + They take reservations

Sushi was good, affordable for the location. I would give this place five stars today if it wasn’t for the awful service we had. We had reservations and seated immediately, our server seemed awesome at first but sadly we were disappointed. We were celebrating a 16-year-old’s birthday and I hoped our sushi would be served in the boat, I expressed that was one of the reasons we picked Blue Sushi. Our server knew of the birthday celebration, and the boys wanting the sushi boat, but it was delivered on plates. One boy didn’t get his Sprite until we asked again when the sushi was delivered. Between 2 families our bill was over 150.00, I just feel our service should have been spot on for a high end sushi restaurant.

Best sushi in Ft Worth! Love Blue! This is the place to go for a great sushi dinner. Atmosphere is upbeat and modern. The staff is wonderful. But the star of the whole experience is the sushi!!! Not only do they carry the traditional sushi that I’m addicted to but also they make their own specialty ones. And yes, they understand you when you order on Japanese Only way the sashimi could be better is if you had literally just caught the fish and sliced off a piece– it’s that good! Tonight they were running a special on sake(the drink not the type of sushi): half off bottles, and I don’t mean some little wimpy bottle, we’re talking adult size half liters and bigger. Plus the usual happy hour discounts a good selection of food items is a bonus.

Everyone raves about this place so I finally gave it a try. It’s a 3 star because of the appetizers and service — otherwise it was alright. We ordered Shishito Peppers, Peppered Tuna Tataki, Ama Ebi(sweet shrimp) sushi, The Beach with brown rice and The Iguana. I love shishito peppers, I always get them. But this place has done it the best by far because it’s in a garlic citrus soy sauce based sauce. So good! The Peppered Tuna Tataki and that sesame garlic sauce underneath it was amazing. Those two appetizers were the best out of the whole meal. The rolls and sushi were okay, not much of flavor in my opinion. I would come back to try other things. This place stays busy, but we didn’t have to wait for a table of 2 at all. Attentive service, nice ambiance, great décor. I would recommend I would say… Maybe. If I had better recommendations for things besides the appetizers.

I still love Blue Sushi as much as I did when I originally reviewed it a few years back. I have noticed minor price increases, but only by a dollar or two and certainly not enough to keep me from coming back again and again. There is not a place in Fort Worth with better — and more interesting! — sushi; I love the variety of options for both raw and cooked sushi, as well as the many incredible(and delicious) vegetarian rolls. The Cowgirl roll is probably my favorite on the veggie list — the barbecue rice paper is something I haven’t seen anywhere else and I love it! I’m always concerned that when I order vegetarian rolls I won’t be full afterwards, or that it will just be a boring cucumber roll, but I never have to worry about that at Blue. I still love the hot popper and the South Pacific; recently I tried the Hotel Cali roll which was deeeeeelicious! It practically melts in your mouth, and it’s large enough to leave you satiated(I personally had to take a few pieces home). I’m not usually a person to order dessert out, but if you like chocolate, you HAVE to try the chocolate spring rolls. Just do it. Happy hour is 3:30 to 6:30PM, and the huuuuuge benefit over other HH places is that they offer happy hour in the entire restaurant. That’s right, that means no diving past people to get the next available seat in the already overpacked bar, no going up to people to ask when they were planning on leaving, no more madness. Also, they recently redid the bar area and there is sooooooo much more seating — bravo to them on a great renovation!

Another amazing meal! This time I tried the Coconut Crab Soup and the Blue Balls; good scores. I also tried the Itchy Salmon; really amazing — I could just order multiple of these and be perfectly content! And, I also tried the Tidal Wave and loved it as well. I have never had a bad waiter here; that really makes a huge difference to me! Really, anyone who can’t find something amazing to love here, even healthy and delicious, or who complains about service here, probably just can’t be pleased.

I was here on a Friday night with a couple friends. We were told the wait for a table would be an hour, but we were seated after about 30 minutes, so not bad. I highly recommend the spicy edamame. It’s pretty spicy. My tongue was burning after we finished it(admittedly, I don’t have the highest tolerance for spice either), but it was so worth it. It’s VERY garlicky as it’s full of lots of minced garlic, but I’m a firm believer that you can never have too much garlic, so it’s perfect for me! For dinner I had the philly roll and salmon sashimi. Both were good, but nothing groundbreaking. As far as drinks go, my key lime pie martini was good even though it’s your run-of-the-mill key lime martini. I was in the mood for one, so it hit the spot! I also tried the classic saketini. It had sort of a moscow mule-like taste to it, but it was very refreshing. Service was good. Food was a little slow to get out, but as I mentioned, it was a busy Friday night. The atmosphere is definitely trendy. It fits in perfectly with the west side of Fort Worth. It wasn’t so trendy that they overpriced everything, so that was nice. Also, there is a free parking garage nearby that had plenty of parking. Overall, it’s a good sushi place to try in Fort Worth.

Came for happy hour and left very happy. We ordered a bunch of food and I managed to capture a few of them lol. Service was fantastic and our server was so fast and nice. We got our table and food pretty fast as well! The food was pretty good(not the best but very decent!) for the happy hour price. I ordered blue balls, Hawaiian roll, crunchy blue roll, Snow White roll, negi Hama roll and calamari. All were good, except I wasn’t crazy about the calamari at all. I also ordered the saketini, which was delicious and refreshing. This was my first time doing happy hour here and I did not regret it at all. Overall I had a great time. The sushi was good but not the best sushi, but when accounting the great happy hour atmosphere, the drinks, the attentive waitress, the happy hour price and the location of the restaurant, everything was pretty good in general. Will be back!

I was reluctant to go back after our first experience, but the General Manager reached out to smooth things over so I made a reservation. Now I know why it was so difficult to get a table last time. The food here is incredible! We had a reservation for 8 at 7:30 on a Friday evening. The hostesses were very pleasant this time and our party was seated immediately. The GM came over and introduced himself to the group and wanted to make sure we were taken care of. The entire meal and first round of drinks were complimentary. First they brought out some appetizers. The river rock beef tenderloin was the first thing we tried which was superb. The meat was raw but the stones were so hot it cooked in front of you. The meat just melted in your mouth. Next was the ceviche style hirame, which was my favorite dish. The lime juice added the perfect touch to the white fish. Calamari with tempura sweet potatoes and a spicy dipping sauce was the third appetizer. The calamari was perfectly fried. Now onto the main course. A HUGE and beautifully presented boat of a variety of Maki rolls both cooked and raw and a second boat with just Nigiri. In the center was a happy Buddha for presentation. Last but not least, dessert! Three different types to try were brought out. Tempura friend ice cream, banana three ways and chocolate spring rolls. Each one was delicious! Our waiter was quick, attentive, friendly and on it! We appreciated that the GM came over to chat with us and make us feel welcome. We were all extremely impressed with our second experience and very appreciative that the restaurant reached out to set this up for us. Thank you Blue Sushi for your hospitality and generosity and for taking your customers concerns serious. You have won our loyalty. We will be back again.

I came to this location on a Thursday evening. While researching this was know as a Trendy sushi restaurant that you have to try. When arriving the parking situation is really crazy. You have the option to park on the street, valet, or park in a lot. I would highly recommend that you look at all the signs when picking parking, because you might get towed. The staff were really attentive and friendly. In my opinion the sushi is fairly pricey. The rolls are also really small, so you basically paying for the decoration on the plate. The rolls come quickly and are very tasty. Not top notch fish, but the crazy ingredients they’ve put together are kind of cool and tasty! However they lack in size. I don’t think I will be coming back to this location because I don’t think i was able to get what I paid for. If you are in the area then I would just wouldn’t recommend it for someone seeking expensive sushi with a nice environment and I wouldn’t recommend it for large groups.

Bloody Mary Martini. Yep, it’s a real thing that you really need as a balanced part of your weekend brunch. It’s spicy and perfect to fight off the remnants of Friday night’s poor decisions. I’m not a big brunch fan because it’s usually just a pain in the butt to get in anywhere and I am a hangry, hangry girl without my coffee in the morning. Here we just strolled in and grabbed a couple seats at the bar, our hangover-fighting martinis were served up quickly, and we got down to the proper business of finding some delicious foods. They have a check-in deal for a free edamame or spicy edamame, so I tried out the spicy edamame. So good! It has just a little kick to it that adds a new dimension to your usual salty soybeans. I started with the spicy sake, but that roll was not enough for this hangry girl. Indeed, it was smaller than I expected considering the price. I ordered up some vegetable tempura, and that was more than enough to satisfy me. Plus, with all that Bloody Mary in me, it was probably the healthiest thing I’d eaten in days at that point. I’d definitely come back here if the option came up. Good service from the amusing, friendly bartenders and good drinks. The food might be a titch overpriced for the portion size, but the Bloody Mary has tomato juice in it. That’s food. ;)

I’ve been to Blue Sushi many times. This is my go to sushi place. I highly recommend coming to this place for happy hour(all day on sundays) and buying their gift card during the holiday season sale and you’ll get a bonus gift card. Ex. I ordered $ 100 gift card and got $ 35 for free. Today we ordered two hot poppers, crunchy l.a., spicy edamame(for free with Unilocal check in), two South Pacifics, Hawaiian roll, cowgirl, and the organic white peach tea. So much food! Our tummies were very satisfied! Our favorites are the hot popper and the South pacific. They are both very flavorful. Make sure to eat the hot popper before the south Pacific otherwise it will be overpowered. A new favorite is the cowgirl. It is far from traditional sushi but the flavors are awesome! This is a very surprising roll with some Texas flare of barbecue and pickle. I recommend getting the hot tea here. Today I got the white peach and I got three refills of it because it was so delicious. Overall, you won’t regret coming here. Great food with an awesome atmosphere and happy hour!

Blue Sushi is probably the best tasting sushi in Fort Worth. Lets just put that out there. There is another, more traditional competitor but they don’t have the roll selection of Blue. The staff here are very friendly and quick to find you a place to sit to start your sushi journey. We have had Ashley as our server several times, and have requested her by name for our date nights ever since. She is an outstanding waitress. If you are an avid sushi eater like myself and know there isn’t a piece of sushi you wouldn’t eat, then I would recommend asking Ashley for Omakase style, tell her the number of rolls you want and let her amaze you with what she comes back with! We have received some amazing off menu items this way and are never disappointed! The plating presentation is always on fleek, and the rolls dazzle the senses each and every time. Their house lime margarita is one of the best in the area, and during happy hour is under $ 4! I do not recommend sitting at the sushi bar, as the setup is not the traditional style. You have no interaction with the sushi chef this way and for the amount of room you are loosing it really isn’t worth it. A boat of Omakase sushi will fit much better on one of their many tables. I think the Primo Fire and Philly Bomb roles are probably their best rolls going right now! You have a lot of options for your sushi in Fort Worth, but Blue Sushi is the only one that should matter!

SO I’m a crazy person and don’t like sushi(namely fish) but believe me, I want to. I’ve seen Jiro Dreams of Sushi on Netflix 3 times and really appreciate the art form. That being said, Blue Sushi has an amazing selection of veggie sushi that’s to die for. It’s totally turned me on to a world I didn’t even know existed. When I think sushi, I always think smelly, raw, fishy grossness… not delicious, well textured, eat every bite — and that’s what Blue Sushi’s veggie sushi delivers. Not to mention the wide variety of other foods they have, and the fish sushi itself seems limited only to the imagination. Great environment that’s swanky, functional and comfortable and it’s located in the hip upcoming West 7th area, Museum Place. Plus the service superb. If you come on a weekend without a reservation, you’ll be sure to wait for a table, but there’s always room at the bar and saki bomber’s lounge! Top everything off with an amazing happy hour and reverse happy hour on Sundays.

My roommate convinced me to give this place another try for their Happy Hour. We got 4 rolls(Cabo, South Pacific, Asparagus, and another salmon based roll), crab rangoons, and edamame. Cabo:spicy tuna, crab, Japanese cucumber(8) South Pacific: Eel tempura, cream cheese, pineapple, scallion, eel sauce(8 pcs) Asparagus: Cooked salmon, cream cheese, asparagus, eel sauce(8 pcs) Nothing was spectacular, but they weren’t bad. I wouldn’t pay full price for these rolls, but HH prices are fair. I’ve never found myself craving it enough to come back though. The service wasn’t bad. Our waitress came by to check up on us, and was fairly patient with how indecisive we were lol. The manager came by and asked how we were doing, as well. I think he came by the last time I was there, too. I appreciate that(: Overall, I wouldn’t crave to come back, but I wouldn’t be against going if my friends wanted to go for HH. Tip: check in with Unilocal and get complimentary edamame(;
