Another visit on New Year’s Eve to Nick and Toni’s confirmed my earlier feelings that this is one of the best restaurants in America. From the warm greeting at the beginning of the visit to the hugs and thank yous at the end, it was a perfect evening from start to finish. As is our tradition, we ordered the«Local Balsam Farms Zucchini Chips» as soon as we were seated. These thinly sliced orbs are some of the best chips I have ever tasted. They are lightly coated and then quickly fried. The end result is crispy on the exterior with a soft, delightful interior. I love a little squirt from the fresh lemon slices to brighten the zucchini. To start the main event, I ordered the«Strozzapreti, Braised Duck, Green Olives, Delicata Squash» that also included a few slices of mushrooms. The pasta was perfectly prepared to al dente and the duck was rich, flavorful, tender and luscious. The few quartered olives added a bright complementary touch and the delicata squash a delightful sweetness. Likewise, the mushrooms contributed a wonderful earthiness. This was a wonderfully light pasta that delivered incredible flavors. For my entrée I ordered the short rib that was served with horseradish infused cauliflower, and topped with baby carrots. The piece of beef was beautifully braised to fork tender. The rich flavors from the braising liquids were completely infused throughout the meat. The carrots were divine, sweet and softly cooked to retain a certain amount of crunch. The horseradish was just a touch heavy in the cauliflower, not allowing for a full appreciation of the latter. I also tasted the roasted potatoes that accompanied the chicken dish and they were outstanding. Service was exceptional, as always. Many restaurants could learn from Bonnie, the Manager Extraordinaire, and the rest of the staff who were spot on in absolutely every aspect of the evening.

Great space, excellent food, and the people watching opportunities are plentiful. Familiar faces are often seen here for a good reason. The place has great food, is clean, and is managed really well. This is a Hamptons institution.

We just came from a delicious birthday dinner at Nick & Toni’s. Not only was the food great the staff were a delight. Sweet, caring, efficient, patient and helpful. It was our first visit. It will not be our last. We now have a new favorite restaurant.

This place is superb. I’ve dined here many times and never leave unsatisfied. Great atmosphere and staff. Perfect for a romantic date or even casual dinning. I recommend making a reservation at least a week in advance during the busy summer season. I can’t get enough of their zucchini chips. Overall their dishes are flavorful and fresh. There is also a very nice wine selection. Can’t wait to dine there again soon.

We ARE Nick & Toni and could not pass up a dinner here when visiting Montauk. While it was last minute, the manager actually called US back to accomodate a reservation for(my) Nick’s birthday. The food was fabulous and the service was top notch.

Lovely atmosphere and the place was still receiving new guests when we left at 9:30pm. We were not sure what wine to choose but the staff were on hand and they selected exactly the right red and white to match our tastes! The meal was delicious. We skipped starters and just had mains with side dishes. The fish choices were tasty and perfectly cooked. The pork and chicken were equally full of flavour with rich sauces and the bitterness of the rapini vegetables and shush into peppers were perfect accompaniments. We did splurge our waistlines with desserts. The peach shortbread was just ok. The shortbread(more like a plain scone) and the peach gelato were quite bland. The vanilla gelato was presented with a wafer biscuit and nice way to end the meal — unless you are hankering for something sweet. In that case the salted caramel dessert was amazing and the perfect mix of sweet and salty. Staff were friendly cheerful and funny and made for a great experience.

Sat at the tables in the bar. Came early with no reservation. Great luck that we got a table on a Saturday night. Food and service were excellent. We had a very good time people watching. We never go until September when all of the tourists are gone.

I am not sure what I was expecting, but I’m pretty sure it was a casual seafood beach shack. Instead, Nick and Toni’s is a very upscale(and yet comfortably casual), classy and beautiful restaurant with the food to match. My server could not have been nicer to me – single in the bar area on a busy summer Friday night — and my food was delicious. The zucchini chips, as others note, are worth the carbs and fat, and it’s hard to go wrong with any of the entrees. Do expect a fairly hefty bill with wine. But hey, it’s the Hamptons. And there might be a Kardashian or Clinton sitting nearby.

Great food, high prices. That tartufo doesn’t disappoint at all. I thought their octopus was tasty, but a little too oily, even though the chorizo was an amazing addition. I do recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s willing to shell out for some great food.

Love coming here. Over & over never disappointed. Only low on this dinner was the warm amuse bouche which was tuna tartare(a bit fishy, served warm not on purpose im sure over a wilted cucumber round which was watery from sitting at room temp too long) Ugh! Then the fun began: Lobster Salad was simply amazing and COLD. Grilled Pork Chop was cooked over wood fire to give perfect crispy outside and pink and juicy inside. Seasonal Heirloom tomato salad with fresh house made mozzarella was to die for. Seasonal pasta with fresh cherry tomatoes, crab, uni with crispy breadcrumbs was succulent and pasta al dente is perfect addition as half order. Dessert: The lady next to us had a gorgeous dessert she devoured which was a seasonal fruit tart with house made ice cream, i wanted so bad! Hence, No room for dessert!!! we ate too much. Drank just enough, the 16 year old Scotch was lovely with a huge round ice cube. However, The Mai Tai has house made orgeat which is a true testament to perfection on every level, no rock candy or grenadine(like at the royal hawaiian in Waikiki) But the purity level of an original recipe is worth the trip alone to Nick & Tonis!!! Mahalo Kevin, famous bartender friend. Always a pleasure to sit at the bar, where you always meet a character or three

We got last minute reservations. Not a pretentious scene as some say. A staple of East Hamptons for a good reason. DELICIOUS, excellent service, amazing wine list, not in your face service. What more can I say. Try to come here during the week.

One of my favorite Hamptons spots. Great food, decent service, and just a great place to go to. Love the ambiance. Love the weekly and daily specials. My family has been coming here since they opened and they love it too.

If you’re looking to be judged by the maitre d based on the Cartier bracelet you’re not wearing or the Mercedes Benz you’re not driving, this is the place to be. We arrived dressing casually for a good meal to eat but: 1. The maitre d told us the wait would be an hour so we put our name on the list 2. A middle aged man(let’s call him a boy because that’s how he behaved) cut us off at the bar to place his drink order. 3. After waiting 45 minutes we checked back with the maitre d only to discover our name was no where to be found and they made zero effort to accommodate even though we were the last people waiting Enjoy your overpriced Italian meal if you make it past everyone’s nose up in the air.

We had very high expectations before heading to Nick & Toni’s given the hype surrounding the restaurant. It lived up to the hype. Everyone’s appetizers and entrees were delicious and and perfectly cooked. I had the Gigli Toscana for my main dish — the meal was surprisingly heavy, yet not overwhelming. It had great flavor and the duck confit was excellent. The vegetable sides we ordered were also superb. The tartufo at the end of the meal was a highlight and was quite the display. I also appreciated how all of the dishes were very good sized portions!

The average Unilocal reviews are spot on. Service was very poor with too much time between courses. Yet, not the reason for an average review. Salads were very good. However, two fishes dishes(fluke and whole fish) were average, with one guest questioning freshness. The fish was also overshadowed by the accompanying heavy sauces(themselves bland). All in all very disappointing. Stick w the specialty cocktails and salads and you’ll be good.

This place is hands down delicious!!! We started with the octopus and tuna crisp. The octopus might have been the best I’ve ever had, super tender with a slight char. The tuna was missable. For our Primi we shared the risotto — you owe it to yourself to try that dish. Then followed by sharing the whole roasted fish — it was black sea bass and two sides mushrooms and the wood oven smashed Yukon gold potatoes. It was an amazing meal. The fish was flavorful and tender, and the potatoes were amazing. Creamy and tender inside with a crispy skin. My only complaint is that for the price, they should have deboned the fish table side. And did I mention the drinks were good.

The service was the best part of this meal, but at best it ranged from a helpful hostess, a mediocre waitress and a flat out poor bartender. Overpriced for the quality, which was only memorable for its mediocre and bland taste in what was a lush ambiance. The penne al la vecchia Bettola, a staple of over 20 years as the waitress told us, had a slight bite from a spice in the red sauce, but the pasta was undercooked for the sauce. A disappointment in taste for the price sadly. A disappointment generally.
