There has been a change for the good at this place. A lot of inconsistency over the last year and a half but what a difference! Over the last few months both the service and the food have become outstanding! The pizzas are perfect! Everything you expect from what a NY pizza should be. The baked pasta dishes are wonderful although the portion are a bit large. Someone has brought a high standard into the kitchen and it shows! Keep it up!

Lasagna was in-edible. Leaving a bad after taste. Meatballs were cold and they forgot a salad we ordered. Once was enough

Service has not changed a lick — it entirely depends upon who you interact with and on what day. «Pops» should understand that customers see how he treats his employees, and you never seem to be genuinely thanked for your patronage. The elderly gentleman«Pops» emphasizes if an eppi roll was made fresh for you.(We’ve heard this a few times now.) Why wouldn’t food be made to order?! Prices have only consistently increased, and I would hate to think that repairs and television menu-board costs are being passed down to the customer. I seriously think it comes down to their being the only pizza place that delivers. P. S. Go to La Capannina, it’s worth the drive to Wainscott. The staff are kind and happy, and the pizza is hands-down far better.

Decent pizza but too expensive for a takeout place. Owners are nice but the old man that works there is argumentative and difficult to deal with, hung up on me when i pointed out that chicken marsala does not have heavy cream in it, which is not mentioned in the menu and which I found out after I got home and was unable to eat the meal I paid almost $ 20 for..

We came into town late and were starving. We called in for a couple pizzas and sandwiches for delivery. The food came fairly quickly, but the driver had forgotten a sandwich. The driver never came back with it, which is why I’m subtracting a star. But a quick phone call later and one of the guys in charge made a fresh sandwich and drove it over himself. Great service and Great food.

Food is just decent. House salad is good but did not come with any bread. Man on the phone is a bit rude. Delivery guy is nice and professional. Food was delivered in an hour. Wrong price on the bill bc I was rung up for a full order of tenders instead of the children’s order that I asked for. After five min on the phone my total was reduced by $ 4. Idk if I would order again… Probably would just go grocery shopping next time. That’s the best bet out here. Especially when all the mediocre delivery is overpriced by about $ 10…

Just took«to go» food from Ryder’s last night. Great fries, wings, and very surprised by how good the buffalo shrimp were as a to go item. Really impressed us all. Thanks for opening it. We definitely need your menu in 11937.

So I ordered a Ceasar salad and because the menu reads«anchovies upon request» I added them. A small salad apparently means sample size and the anchovies, which are traditional in every Ceasar Salad I’ve made or ordered added ½ again the menu price. For my money The Springs Pizza up the road is more genuine, much more flavorful and there is no comparison in value/quantity for your money. I rarely send reviews figuring that I gave it try and now I know but this was so disappointing that I could not resist.

We ordered three different large pizzas. Pepperoni, Meatball, and Mushroom. They were all okay, but we would have definitely enjoyed ourselves much more if delivery hadn’t somehow taken more than two hours(when it was estimated to take less than forty-five minutes), and also if the delivery guy hadn’t been so obviously drunk & high.

Good pizza and one of the only pizza places that delivers in the area!

I think they forgot to put cheese on my classic tomato, basil & mozzarella pizza — it was just lots of fresh tomato & basil on top of a dry sesame seed pizza base! My friend’s pineapple and ham tasted much better

Ordered a calzone w pepperoni– everything was fine, tasty, and fresh. There were a few pieces of pepperoni, and a ton of ricotta. Although everything was freshly made, it was all a bit lukewarm. I’d be happy to come back– and will ask for things to be heated to ‘hot’.

I lived in Queens for a couple years and have eaten pizza all over NY. I’m a pizza freak. You know what a perfect desert is after a pizza dinner? Another slice. There are 3 types of pizza. The brick oven pie, the gourmet pie, and the slice pie(takeout, comes in a cardboard box, rules the Earth with it’s mozzarella scepter.) Pepperoni’s pie is authoritatively the best«slice pie» in the area. Sweet tomato sauce. Quality ingredients. Hot bubbly fatso heaven.(Sam’s is more of a brick oven/bar pie.) Discovered something great tonight. We usually get a pie with onion and mushroom and the Gorgonzola salad which has a variety of greens, zucchini, and a delicious sweet red wine vinaigrette. By accident part of the salad got onto my slice. It was soooo good. I never thought Gorgonzola could work on a slice, but it works! Fantastic combination. Mangia!

Surprisingly, I had a really good slice here! It seems like a random shop tucked away in an even more random, unassuming little shopping center(of sorts). They have a great variety of freshly made pizzas with all kinds of flavor combinations plus calzones, pastas, salads, and even desserts. I was pleasantly surprised and at the same time, a little pissed off at myself for not ordering more food, given all the choices. It’s a casual, no-frills kind of place where you can sit down to have a bite, or get in and out quickly so you can devour your piping hot food in the privacy of your own home(or car, ahem). I like their thin, chewy crust and the sauce, cheese and pepperonis were really tasty. No complaints here. Bonus points for selling pizzas by the slice in addition to whole pies. Gotta love surprisingly tasty places when you least expect it!

Love this pizza. As the other reviewer said, this isn’t typical NYC pizza, but they’re not trying to be. First: get the sesame seed topping for the crust. It’s unbelievable how such a simple thing makes such a big difference. Second: get the tomato/basil/fresh mozzarella pizza. They marinate the tomatoes, they give you great big portions of basil, and it ends up being the most delicious thing. Everyone who has ever had it loves it, and I now bring pizzas to-go across state lines for friends. Their buffalo chicken pizza is delicious, as are most of their specialty pizzas, and I usually only try them by the slice(not the ideal way to try any pizza). I occasionally get a black olive/garlic/onion pizza that I request myself, and they put lots of black olives and onions on top, and cook the garlic in so that it goes extremely well together. Their Eppi rolls are delicious, even if the sausage/pepperoni one may kill you. Their salads aren’t the most fantastic things in the world, but they’re decent enough if you don’t want to eat only pizza. For my money, this is the best pizza place in the area. I like the staff, love the food, and I won’t go anywhere else.
