Tacos Mexico

Me gusto la comida, pero no me gusto el servicio. Yo trabajo serca de alli, y ya son dos veces que hablo para una order y son bien gachos. Me preguntan que en donde trabajo para que no me tarde porque segun van a cerrar. Yo hable a las 6:30 y supuestamente cierran a las 7. Yo trabajo bien cercas y yan son 2 veces que les molestan que ago una orden por Telefono. Si no quieren que hable la gente entonces que no tengan numero de telefono. Y lo escribi en espanol para que lots empleados lo lean.

I moved to Downey last month and tried about 5 different Taco shops in the area. And Tacos México ended up being my favorite! I love the Carne Asada burrito and the Super fries, which are pretty large portions as well. I’m not sure if I have bad taste or the restaurant did a 360 since it’s last bad reviews. I will agree the customer service could be a tad bit better because most of the cashiers aren’t to fluent with English. But I only got one order wrong, so far (she forgot sour cream) But other than that I will continue to support the business.

Got the food to go. Ordered the nachos which were very good but could used a bit more meat the lengua tacos were good but a little dry. I recommend the nachos with extra meat

If I could leave no stars, I would. This place has many areas from customer service to quality of food that need attention. The little blonde chola needs to go back to Boyle Heights with her horse *hit attitude and the corporate office even needs lessons on how to deal and treat unsatisfied customers. This location (which is 7852 Florence Ave) is «the low of the low» and the people that work there are a clear view of why Downey has lost a lot of its credibility for being a nice place to be. Tacos el Gavillan, which is directly on the corner of Florence Ave and Paramount Blvd has better customer service and is very prompt with service. It’s a way better location and the quality of the food is actually better, and bigger portions. Tacos Mexico will never get my money again. Have a wonderful day and go somewhere else for food…

Horrible taste of meat. It was not fresh. Cashier was coughing and the cook was lost in the back. No service or good food. ghost town restaurant. I had to throw my food away did not bother complaining. Walked over to Tacos El Gavilan. Huge difference in freshness.

This place is freaking disgusting. Not worth coming even if it’s super late at night and you don’t have many options. Got the nachos with chicken and took a couple bites and threw it away. They consist of like 50% of that cheap nacho cheese and the chicken tasted old and like itd been sitting out all day. I was afraid I was going to get food poisoning so I stopped eating it. Drive a little further for ANYTHING else if you need late night food and you don’t want to die.

People here are just plain rude. They don’t welcome you or even say hello. They just stare at you.
Every time I come, the food gets worse. They even got rid of the self serve salsa. They now give you salsa in the bags. 6 red salsa and 2 green?! The tacos were poorly wrapped, all my tacos fell out of the foil!
Anyways, I prefer the one in Bell. Probably my last time coming to this place.

Why this place only has 3 stars in beyond me. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. This place is open 24 – 7 so you can come by and grab some good food anytime.

One word: HAIR. There was a piece of hair in my bf’s taco. We got 4 asana tacos and the meat tasted expired and almost stale. It’s unfortunate because my bf was raving about this taco chain, and it seems like there was a management transition.

Place is clean but under new management. New employees working hard but there is a drop in the taste and quality of the food. No more refills on drinks. Al pastor taste has declined. Location used to be packed every Wednesday but there is hardly anybody in today. Will probably not be coming back.

2^nd worse Mexican food I have ever tasted. Stay AWAY. I’m begging you. 2 bites of Asada burrito and tossed in trash. 1 bite of carnitas taco and in the trash. Left angry

I waited 27 minutes for a carne asada burrito. The burrito was cold and smaller than my hand. The place was not busy so I didn’t understand what the delay was. I ordered a carne asada burrito with just meat, cheese, and sour cream. I got a small sticky tortilla burrito with a scoop of meat and tons of onions. It was the worst quality of food from a Mexican establishment. Usually Mexican food is prepared fast and hot and meets the requests. Unfortunately this establishment did not meet the standards of other places I have ordered from. I was surprised and disappointed. Mexican take out is always on point. Not this place. Sorry I will go across the street for a burrito next time

They have new management. …not how it use it use be.. the meat sucks they don’t use any seasoning. They dont even have chills and onion and carrots out … and the people don’t even speak English come on people… thats how much it changed. look like I have to try the one in H. P… never again

Never again!!! I remember coming to this place and loving it now even the staff looks at you like what are you doing here. Last week I decided to stop by with my kids take in mind kids are picky eaters I ordered my food then they forgot part of my order when I asked were was the rest the man looked at me like if I was crazy. He went back to check the receipt take in mind I was the only customer when he brought back my order it was wrong called it to his attention and he looked mad. The food is not good at all the meat has a lot of fat and the place does not look clean at all. I would never stop here again even if the food was free still wouldn’t take it.

I went to this place on a Saturday night and was truly disappointing. I have visited other Tacos Mexico locations so I thought it would be a safe place to get food from. Maybe half of the menu was not available to order because they had ran out of food, it was about 7pm so not too late for a Saturday. I expected to wait because it was a big order and i was at their counter getting salsa, and limes. They had no limes!!! what kind of taco place has no limes!!! I get my food and it is about 3 bags, looked like a lot of food since it was for 6 people i just grabbed it and left without checking (my mistake) because I had to stop at the store near by and buy limes. When I get home I find that I am missing 8 tacos! I was livid. I immediately tried calling the number on Unilocal but it was the wrong number.
I go back and the girl at the cashier asked me if I was sure that they were not there? Hello, do you think I would drive back for them if I had them. After making me feel like I was a liar, the girl asked me what i wanted to do, get my money back or get the tacos. I took the money back and asked for a managers phone number. She said there was no one else I could speak to and that they did not have a managers phone number. There was a lady in the back counter just looking at us with no uniform but on the kitchen side that looked like she might be a manager that only after I started to walk away she asked the cashier what had happened. The girl told her in Spanish that i was «claiming» not to have received some of my food. The way they handled this situation was unnecessary. They made me feel like I was a liar that was trying to get free stuff. Needless to say, I will not return.
By the way, my dad and sister said the food was very bland… and the salsa was watered down.

The meat was unrecognizable and had a funny smell. The rice and beans were good however. Horchata was so so. One good thing was their low prices. Overall, I wouldn’t return, or recommend it either.

Simple… Came in told the older dude on the register exactly what I wanted in my borrito, wich was rice, beans, avacado, onion and cilantro. When I got home it was full of meat wich I wouldn’t mind if I wasn’t vegetarian. Drove home wich is about 4 miles from this location just to find out I would have to drive back for only partial refund, not to mention the gas I had to spend to take it back. You would think the worker who knew he messed up would try to make it right but he just gave me an attitude for asking for what I pay for… Stay away if smart

not a fan here at all. their tacos are not that good tasting and nothing but stupid people come here as well. I have had better places to enjoy tacos… nothing on the franchise but this place really sucks donkey balls! service was ehh…

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. The red and verde sauces are nice and SPICY. Not that weak stuff they give at that taco shop across the street. Pickled carrots, onions, and jalepeno are spicy sour. Their meats are also cooked hot and crunchy: buche, cabeza, lengua, tripas, carnitas, asada, al pastor, etc. Tacos, burritos, mmmmmm. This is the most legit taco spot ive ever been too

Love this place, I do. They’re quick, the food is great and it’s cheap too. Dunno why it’s not more crowded but I don’t mind, i’ll have it all to myself. Love their breakfasts too, everything is fresh, mmmm.

My favorite late night taco night, especially after clubbing at my guilty pleasure spot La Boom in Huntington Park on a Thursday night. I think it is even open 24 hours too!!! The staff is friendly, but that is probably because they know me by now. The tacos are small and not too bad. I actually enjoy their burritos too! The best thing is this joint? The pickled zanahorias (carrots), jalapeño and onion mix… simply spicy, sour, and absolutely delicious! Also, they have a mini arcade with Ms. Pacman, a soccer game, and Cruising America, I think. Plenty of tables to sit at. The bathrooms are disgusting though, make sure you bring toilet paper and hand sanitizer…
