Good food. Ample parking. Lots to choose from on the menu. We stopped in by chance. The waitress was busy but very helpful. I brought my two kids and they liked it too. Portions plenty big enough for take home.

We go here a lot and while the service can be slow sometimes, the menu is decent, food quality is good and the atmosphere is just fine for a pub setting. Sitting by the fire in the winter months is great as well.

We came here for lunch during a day of paddling the Charles, on the suggestion of the rental company, and were really glad we did! As other reviewers have mentioned, it was initially a little confusing as to where to go once we came in the door, but once we found the bar it was all good. Great selection of tap beers and tasty sandwiches. The fries were awesome, crisp and seasoned with fried herbs. The bartender was great. Prices were a little on the high side but the quality was there, so no complaints. We’ll definitely return next time we paddle by.

I Hosted my best friend’s bridal shower in the upstairs function room and it was a great venue! The room is bright and fresh and modern, good vibe! Easy to decorate and love that it had a private bar and an awesome bartender(thank you Kathy!) very laid back, food was good, not great but pretty good and they ran out of some items on buffet and people had to wait for a few minutes while it was replenished. Not a big deal because everything else was so nice! I definitely recommend!

I always drive by Waterfords on my way to work. A group of us decide to go after work. I had a watermelon martini what was fantastic it was made just right. We order just appetizers. We had the nachos, fried green beans and pulled pork spring rolls. The nachos were good green and white chips. The fried green beans were good came with a horseradish sauce.(similar to a bloom onion dipping sauce) The pulled pork spring rolls were delicious, they came with a side of bbq sauce which had a kick to it. The décor inside is really nice inside. It was just the five us in the restaurant. Can’t wait to go back and try a meal.

Went here randomly based on a Unilocal review. Went in on a Thursday at 6pm, decent crowd, had a few drinks and that was it. No complaints.

I was hoping the name change would improve both the food an service. I was wrong. The food is the same. Mediocre and the service is also lack luster. Parkin would be a nightmare here in their small parking lot however this place is never busy. Please improve your food and service. You have potential!

Was pleasantly surprised after some bad reviews. Service was great. Food was amazing, especially the corned beef which I am always nervous to order. Food was melt in your mouth. French fries were hand cut and seasoned with salt and rosemary… delicious!!! Cheesecake I am not normally a fan of but was amazing! Will definitely be frequenting this establishment.

I went there alone at 8pm on a Friday night. There was one couple in the dining area. I went to the bar side. People were at the bar, but only 2 parties seated at the tables. The service was extremely slow. I took about 30 minutes to get my drink, a cosmopolitan, which was too sweet. My food was brought by a kitchen worker and the waitress never came by to check if everything was alright. The fries were not hot and there was no salt on the table. My food probably sat in the kitchen before it was brought to me. These people need to get their act together if they want to stay in business.

After reading a lot of negative reviews when they first opened, I was hesitant to try Waterford’s. When I saw how packed the parking lot was at lunchtime on a Sunday, I decided I’d give it a shot! I stopped in here for a drink and appetizer with my husband. We ordered the dry rub wings and the BBQ Pulled Pork Spring Rolls, which were both delicious! The Spring rolls weren’t really reminiscent of a spring roll, more of an egg roll, as the wrapping was more like that. But they were really good and came with a side of BBQ sauce for dipping. I got a Mojito Mexicano off the drink menu and as much as I love Patron, it was just lacking something. I eventually asked for a bit of Chambord to kick the flavor up a notch, but it just didn’t do it for me. I ordered a regular mojito after that, which was better, but could have used more mint and lime. My husband stuck to his trusty bottles of Coors Light. It was nice to see the renovations done to the building. You can still see all the old character of the building, but it has a really nice flow and is so clean and bright! If you ever went into the Olde Irish Alehouse, you’d be very impressed that it’s the same place! One thing that was strange when we went in was no host stand/reception area. You either go to the right, where there’s a hallway, or through the middle of the dining room. We opted for the middle of the dining room, as we didn’t know where the hallway ended up. It ends up in the bar, so perhaps they could do with a sign pointing people that way when there isn’t someone out front. The man and woman working at the bar were delightful. Don’t know if they are the owners or not. They kind of seemed like they could have been. They were both welcoming and attentive. Menu looks to have some good options for dinner as well, and they have a kid’s menu, so we will definitely head back for a family meal!

Went to this place for the first time on St Patrick’s day weekend and no Irish music playing? I’m not asking for a band but they had a radio station playing. Listening to commercials or beastie boys not what I thought I would hear at an «Irish pub» on st paddys weekend. Food was ok but it was $ 16 for bangers and mash, that’s just sausages, mashed potatoes and baked beans. Really? 16 bucks? Pretty disappointed not going back.

My friends and I have come to the new WF /OIAH about 5 times, maybe 6 in total. We like it over all. It’s pretty fancy. The food is pretty good. The service is pretty good, too. There are some familiar faces and some new faces. I like the mix. The OIAH was a great place for drinks before you go out on the town or a quick and easy bite with a few beers. And certainly great for game watching. Loved the music. We love all the sing-a-long nights to the one man band who just played his guitar while we sat and laughed with our friends. I worry about St Patty’s Day, where will the band play??? Overall, the OIAH was very cozy and warm. The new WF looks great, but it’s cold, it doesn’t have that warm charm anymore. It’s so bright, like Jake n Joe’s(that we don’t ever go to) Something’s missing. Can’t put my finger on it. It could be that you can’t get french fries that are just normal, no green things. Or that when I get an order of potato skins I’m paying a lot more money for 1 potato, maybe 2. I can’t remember since I haven’t ordered them again since. The other night I had the prime rib. It was pretty good and priced well. A little fake/salty in my opinion and it didn’t come with any gravy. Kind of odd I thought. But then again it’s the OIAH after all. They’re known for good beer and pub food. Maybe this is the missing link! The woman who seems to run the joint is very unprofessional and I certainly would not her running my «house». The way she speaks to the servers is demeaning and unkind. Really making it uncomfortable to enjoy when we were in earshot of her mouth.((seeing her act this way has happened on more then 1 occasion)) Love that they kept good beer on tap and the bar is so much nicer to watch the bartenders run back and forth. We’ll go back, knowing it’s a hit or miss kind of spot. But wish they cleaned up their act a little while cleaning up the restaurant.

The renovations look nice, but the service is really, inexplicably slow. We went midday during the week. There were only two other tables filled and we waited over 45 minutes for food. We did not have a complicated order and almost left which we have never done. The waitress was nice, but kept telling the two tables that there was only 2 people working, which is why everything was taking so long. Unfortunately, this can’t be an excuse. If you are not staffed to handle a very, very slow crowd– why are you open? My advice– go to the Corrib.

Wow. Completely renovated and really nice space. We were super impressed. Reminds me of much nicer gastropubs nearby, and Dedham needed it! The food was comfort, unique, and very fresh. They have only been open a few days but most people were very friendly and accommodating despite some obvious hiccups. The AC was not working when we were there. The function room upstairs appeared nicely done. We peeked in as walked in to the bar area. I liked the way the bar room is separated from the dining room. It added to the overall vibe of the restaurant. The bar area was packed when we walked in and the dining room was fairly busy too. I hope this place lasts, it seems like they upgrades have been worth it.

Lighting is so bright you’ll need shades. Like a heat lamp. Bartender woman was slow as molasses. Plus she wiped her nose on her sleeve !! Wtf!!! We used to go ale house all the time for Pats games and watch bands later. No more. Haven’t tried food. Judging by these reviews, methinks not! Come on. this is a great location. Fix the lights. Hire better bartenders. Rip the dining room wall down and bring back bands. Or have Irish sessions in bar side. Then, well think of going back.

They couldn’t figure out which jug held the iced tea. It took three tries. Two out of three orders were wrong. The third, fish and chips, was terrible. It’s also overpriced.

The place has potential, but some tweeks are needed. For starters, the place is LOUD. They need to install something to absorb the sound in the bar area — perhaps some simple valances over the windows? It was ¾ full and my husband and I had to shout across a high top table for 2 to converse. Also lighting was harsh early in the evening. It felt like last call lighting. Our table was between the bar and the riverfront ones which have direct overhead lighting, but we could have used table top lighting — maybe a candle? Fries with rosemary sprigs were hot and very good. Grilled flatbread was good as well. Mezzacorona pinot at $ 7 was good. The menu is smaller than I expected and a bit on the pricey side for the area and this type of place. They have got to do something about the diagonal parking closest to the entrance and the«exit» which has people driving off the curb. Signage would help, directing people to circle behind the gas station to exit. In the course of 5 minutes, I saw 3 vehicles drive off the sidewalk, one seriously scraping the undercarriage of his car. A fence? Paint on the parking lot? Signage? This has been a problem for years and I’m surprised the new management has not addressed it. I wish them luck in the new venture; a change was sorely needed at this location. But I’d like to see some of the changes above addressed before this becomes one of our«go to» spots.

I hosted a Bridal Shower in their new function room. It was beautiful and the food was good. I ordered Chicken Broccoli Ziti, Meatballs and Cheese tortellini. It also offered a full deli platter with condiments and rolls. The function coordinator, Maureen was phenomenal and was able to take care of any needs that I had. She was also the bartender for the event and made amazing afternoon cocktails that included Mimosa’s and Bloody Mary’s in addition to any requested drinks. The venue also offered an elevator for two of the guests that required it. Afterwards some of us went to the bar area seating. Although there was a beautiful view of the Charles River, it felt like a hundred degrees because their AC didn’t work. We also did not have a server assigned for about 30 minutes so I ordered drinks from the bar which took 20 minutes. The restaurant was barely half full and the manager walked around completely oblivious to the fact that the bar was so far behind. I took a look at the menu and wanted to order a sampler platter or a few small appetizers that the rest of us could share but they did not offer anything like that. The«pizza» that was on flatbread was the worst tasting pizza I’ve ever had. Overall I would rate this place a 5 on their function room and a 1 on their restaurant. Regardless of how nice a place looks, it is only as good as the service that you receive. I will most likely never visit their establishment again, however I highly recommend it for a function.

Ok so I went to Waterfords last night with my wife. It has a nice feel. If any of you are familiar with the Olde Irish Alehouse it is not like that at all. This is now a nice, semi upscale bar. Not a dive anymore by any means. The menu has some nice dishes, most on the pricey side. We did not eat a main course so I cannot comment on that, what we did order was the wings(dry rub) which were excellent and I would recommend them any day, 8 big wings for 9 $, we also got the fries with curry which again was excellent. The fries have a little bit of the skin on them still and were done perfect and the curry was nice, not the powdered stuff the Ale House used, that came to 7 $. Last I order the«classic cheeseburger» this is why the review gets 3 stars. I saw a waiter carrying a burger and fries to a table and it looked awesome so I figured the classic burger would be just the burger, no fries, this was 8 $ off the«bar snacks» menu, the burger off the regular menu was 12 $ which looked as if it came with a good portion of fries. I ordered it and when it came out I was disappointed to say the least. It was a burger you get from BJ’s down the street. It was thin and on a crap bun. The regular menu burger looked like it would be awesome. I felt for 8 $ I was ripped off. Other than that it was good and I will go back there again. I won’t order the«classic burger» I would rather get fries or the regular menu burger but I would try other things, plus this place is just getting started. Bud lights were 3 $ draft which was fair and the bar tender was a friendly lady who always made sure we had drinks. This place is on the right path, definitely check it out if you live in the area.

FKA«The Olde Irish Ale House», this place was in dire need of a renovation. After being closed for several weeks undergoing a pretty dramatic redesign and update, it was re-opened with a new name. The renovation was nicely done and the place feels bright, clean, and much more modern. The menu is also all new and more fresh and unique. There are a lot of comfort and pub foods made with fresh ingredients of a higher quality than the past. I ordered the Pot Roast Mac which is pretty much what it sounds like– a combo of pot roast and mac and cheese. It really hit the spot on a chilly fall night. The meat was tasty and fresh and the cheesy buttery goodness of the pasta and topping made for a delicious dinner. It was also good to see more families and people in general in the place. This is a great option for watching a game or having a casual dinner. I recommend checking it out, especially if you had been to the old Ale House. It’s nice to have a good local business to support!
