This place is great! The food is awesome, never had a bad dish. And the bartenders are on the ball and funny as hell.

Great bartender from Ireland I forget his name but he was great. They had an app special that was a good deal. They have a respectable variety of draft beer. Which I appreciate more now as I live in woburn and its rare that you get good variety. The reason I did not give 5 is bc the bar seats are right next to front doors and if someone is smoking outside it comes right in.

I ate there alone. I have cats now… I hope ok cupid is happy with what they have done to me. Anyway, I had the mozzarella triangle thingys? pretty tasty for a starter and some beers… service was fine it was a quiet night, nothing overly friendly tho idk sometimes its like places are either bothering u too much or hardly say two words? Had a burger to finish, really delish something with an onion ring on top… gotta say though i should have sent the onion ring back, it was practically raw. barely fried. fries were tasty also, I usually never finish every fry and this time I did. will probably visit again, its very low key its a pub with bar food, so if thats what you are looking for its fairly good

They have a good selection of beers and food and the atmosphere is nice and friendly. We tried a few beers but some of them were a bit disappointing… the Guinness, for example, didn’t taste like… a proper Guinness. We also had nachos and the portion was huge.

I just devoured the reuban meets burger and it was outstanding. They have a great draft and bottle list as well. I pity the fool that would not give this pub a try.

The staff and the food was excellent. I have been to all three and I have to say this one has the nicest staff and best food. The manager was extremely nice at this one. He was willing to answer any questions I had.

Been here twice and love this place. Great food and good beer. The staff are friendly and quick to make sure your glass is filled. What I have to say that I like most about this place is that it doesn’t pretend to be something it is not. It’s a Pub and I certainly like the Pub atmosphere.

Great beer selection, reliable and tasty food but nothing too fancy. Never too crazy at dinner time. The pizza is surprisingly good here, and their dinner specials are amazing(hello delicious steak and mashed potatoes and asparagus for less than $ 20). The table service is always prompt and we like to go here for a casual weeknight beer and a bite.

I have been to Napper Tandy’s several times and with each visit, Napper Tandy’s grows on me more and more. Upon using the rest rooms during my second visit, I discovered Napper Tandy’s has a very large game room. The beer selection offers interesting choices at reasonable prices. The food is surprisingly good(for a bar) with fun specials(one night I had a 1 pound burger). The service has been great as Napper Tandy’s is staffed with unpretentious bartenders. I will continue to go to Napper Tandy’s provided they continue to offer good customer service.

This is your typical Irish-ish sports-ish bar in the Boston suburbs. What is atypical is the food — it is excellent! The burgers are great and the pizza(not something I normally go for in a pub) is excellent too. I don’t know who came up with bbq sauce and onion rings on a pizza but they deserve the Nobel Prize. The wife & I moved to Roslindale in Fall of 2013 and this has become our local watering hole. I haven’t been to Norwood so can’t compare with their location there. Plenty of room to play pool too. The staff are very nice though they’ve been undermanned a couple of times I’ve been there. But, again, a nice place with great food.

Napper Tandys is perfect for what it is. They secretly have awesome food, you would never expect it. They have straight pool tables with straight cues. They pour a huge glass of Malbec if you’re into that, I am. Damien and James have been amazing bartenders and always make me feel welcome and I keep going back. I’m on my way right now as a matter of fact.

So I went here last night to shoot some pool with friends. I like this bar better than when it was called Robyn’s. They now have good drinks, great craft beer selection which is always a plus! I think there is about 6 – 8 pool tables. Good bar to go shoot pool or watch a sports game!

This bar is a great place to go if you want somewhere relaxing to play some pool or darts with your friends. Everything is reasonably priced and delicious. The atmosphere is great with perfect lighting; not too dark and not too bright. It is also clean inside and out: On top of that the food, especially the buffalo wings, is delicious. The staff is vey friendly and the manager John is extremely nice. He really cares about his customers. I would recommend this bar to anyone.

Not too bad a place but it really is going to need some work to compete with other pubs in the area. 1. The atmosphere is sterile. I had no desire to stay beyond on drink. 2. Service is slow since there was only one person waiting tables and bar tending. In fairness she was killing herself and doing so with a smile but she really needed some help. 3. We only had one appetizer which was the fried pickles. They were fantastic. Napper Tandy’s has promise if they do something with the space.

I was really pulling for this place to be good. Sadly, it is nothing beyond mediocre. I have been a handful of times, both weeknights and weekend evenings. The ambience is, well, a small local dive-bar without much to offer. There are a few flat screen TV’s — they will accommodate your viewing requests. A back room offers pool tables. The music is uninspiring — an odd mix of top 40 blended with 80’s power ballads and classic rock. I definitely can’t figure out what Pandora station this would be. The bar is standard — full bar, local brews on tap. The selection of beers on draft is satisfying — your standard Bud and Coors, along with some specials like local-only Sam brews and even a bit from some smaller breweries. On to the food — arguably the worst part about this establishment — which leaves much to be desired. I have ordered nachos, fried pickles and a bowl of chili from the app menu(separate occasions of course!) and none were impressive. The chili(with a side of pita chips included) was the best option from this bunch, it actually met the standard for an average bowl of chili, but nothing special. The main dishes are horrendous. I’ve gotten chicken and broccoli, some kind of pork dish, this mango chicken deal and others. None of them — not a one — was edible enough for me to finish eating. On all occasions, I came hungry, and on all occasions honestly lost my appetite because this«food» is so horrible! It became apparent to me on my most recent visit that they MUST source their dishes from some kind of Sysco-frozen-meal conglomerate. The appearance of the meals, the texture, consistency and flavor — all lend to a Lean Cuisine lunch on a plate. My last dish(a chicken, green pepper, mango medley over rice) presented itself to me a pile of soupy mush. The green peppers — soft and brown in appearance, the«mango» — altogether absent and the chicken — dry and clearly processed. Read: frozen and reheated. Not freshly prepared, not real, full of preservatives and salt and who knows what else! ICK! I can promise you I will never — and I mean never ever! — eat food here again. I don’t care how hungry I am! The service does not make up for the lack of quality. The servers are blunt, don’t crack a smile and are slllloooowwwww. Yes, I can see that they are working the entire bar(with a whole 8 – 9 people seated), however, their staffing is not my problem. I shouldn’t have to wait until the end of my meal for a refill on my soda or water(after I request it, of course). Unacceptable. As an adventurous twenty-something living in Roslindale, and given the complete lack of bar scene in the Village(and beyond), I was rooting for Napper Tandy’s, I really really was. But this place is a disgrace.

First impression– No website? Bullshit. This is 2013, a trained cat can build a basic website. Yeah, the Norwood location has a website. But this isn’t Norwood, and nowhere on the site does it say anything about Rosi. Still, I wanted to give this new joint a chance. And I have been in a couple of times now. Some of my friends are totally into this place, and I am really trying to understand why. The best part of Napper Tandy’s is the service. Our server was simply delightful both times. They had the right attitude and that wins lots of points in their favor. They went out of their way to answer questions and checked in regularly and happily. The mixed drinks are hit or miss and way too fucking expensive for Roslindale. $ 7.75 for a Bay Breeze(even though you actually made a Sea Breeze) is straight up criminal. Maybe in a place with cloth napkins in the South End I’ll pay that, but in a place that feels like the rec room in my college dorm(The Jungle at UConn) that drink should be five bucks, tops. On my most recent visit, I got a burger and fries. It was very good, not a frozen burger like at Doyle’s or Galway. The fries were ok this time, but soggy and cold the last time, which offended me deeply. Fries are sacred. We cheat on our diets to eat them. Respect that. The fish sandwich was all bread, with a too-thin piece of fish and some ok cole slaw. What I tasted of the fish was decent, but there should have been twice the amount of fish. The patrons are a mixed bag. Some have been sitting on those bar stools since this place was Happy Hour. The soundtrack was a horrific mix of 90s dude rock and classic dude rock. I think a teenager from 1995 was controlling the juke box both times. But for the most part, the crowd was ok. Since the staff was so awesome, I felt like if anyone did step out of line, they’d be there to make it right immediately. Still, no one wants to think that’s a possibility.

Tandy’s Brah!!! So, yeah, I like this place. They’ve used the existing Robyn’s layout, but upgraded it. The bar side is separated by a wall(instead of a half wall) and the«dinning room» side has been turned into pool tables! POOLTABLES, Y’ALL!!! I’ve yet to play pool there, but I’m excited they have it. I know that’s kind of like Hansel’s praise of Sting in Zoolander, «The music he’s created over the years, I don’t really listen to it, but the fact that he’s making it, I respect that.» But I’ll stand beside my pool table excitement! Anyway, the food is solid. Pub food, but with lots of options. They have like 8 – 10 burger selections, which you can get beef, turkey, chicken or veggie. I also dig their curry fries. They have pizza, several apps, including a cheese-steak egg roll. Pub Fusion! Also, they have a good tap list, with good micro and macro brews. Decent prices, even though they come up to weird-ass airport bar price totals, like $ 4.67 for a pint of Long Trail or something. But yeah, I’m really glad this place is back and better. I do miss the townie BS that went on in Robyn’s, but that isn’t completely gone either in Napper Tandy’s. I was there right after they opened and a bunch of laughing townies sort of back-slapped and laughed their way out while skipping out on their tab.

Service was great, and friendly to boot. They have 50¢ chicken wings during Monday night football, and they were executed perfectly. Fried pickles and the caprese salad were good too. The music selection was all offensively bad pop. This place’s appearance doesn’t exactly scream«Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen,» but that’s what was on. Minus 1 star.
