4.5 Stars! OH. MY. GOODNESS. Best Leches Cake EVER!!! Complimentary valet, friendly staff, delicious food, amazing service, lovely ambiance! Located on the edge of Uptown, this place is easy to find. Aside from their very weird entrance that doesn’t look like an entrance, everything is pretty solid. I always ask to be seated on their patio when it’s a weather permitting evening. Great view & perfect place to people watch all of the bar hoppers across the street. Their menu is very similar to any other Tex-Mex restaurant. I have to be honest & say that their chips & salsa were a LOT on the bland side. How can ALLTHREE salsas have very little flavor? Not one single salsa was spicy. Their chips were no better, a little too thick for my liking. My favorite is their Cremaqueso Chicken Enchiladas, always yummy. If you have any tummy room left, do not leave before trying their Cinco Leches Cake. It’s moist but not too moist like other leches cakes. Simply perfect. Their drinks are good, a little overpriced in my opinion. but nothing too crazy. Make reservations if possible. Seating is limited & they can get very packed on weekends.

Food was amazing. Service was fair. I don’t know that I will go back. Life is too short to go there again.

The seating inside is a little awkward but I love this place. Having a couple of house margaritas along with tacos de pescado fried and partner having chicken enchilada creama. After filling up on guacamole and chips, there was plenty to take home to enjoy later. There is plenty of outside patio seating with fans and misters, but might get too warm in Summer.

Love love love this place and I cannot believe I’ve waited so long to try it!!! :) It’s small but worth the wait for sure! They do not take reservations but will add your name to a waiting list upon arrival. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is perfect especially when the temperature is warm outside and you can sit on the patio! They have great music playing and it’s just a pretty hip place overall. The chips and salsa come with a variety to choose from(the green sauce is my favorite!!). Everything tasted perfect and I plan to go here many many more times! :) :) :)

I need an Unlock-able Sixth Star. This is, far and away, my favorite restaurant right now. Everything they do is on point! From their salads and brisket tacos to the Miguelito, every item on the menu is fantastic. The service staff is probably the friendliest in all of Dallas, and the homemade chips and variety of salsas make even a long wait on a Friday night worth every minute. The drinks are awesome — try a little jalepeno kicker with one of the many margaritas on the menu, and make sure and save room for their Cinco de Leche cake. I know what you’re thinking… «Cinco leches? It’s only tres leches!» Not here, my friend. Here, they roll 5 deep. Marisol, you’re the best!

Am excellent option for both a great burger and some authentic Mexican food. Their mole is one of the best in town and their Cinco leches is by far the best leches cake in Dallas. Whether it’s for casual drinks on the patio with friends or a delicious meal, you can’t go wrong with Mr. Mesero.

Great little Mexican restaurant with patio seating that is perfect for any occasion. You always get a trio of sauces with your perfectly circular tortilla chips to start. The queso is worth a try and great paired with the trio sauces. The fish tacos is fairly decent but what blew me away was the AWESOME cinco leches cake! If you like the super sweet, moist, super drippy, saucy, and overall deliciousness of tres leches cake, this is definitely the best I’ve ever had! Definitely adding this place to my list of top Tex Mex restaurants.

Like a true«Dallasite,» my favorite Mexican restaurants tend to be all a part of the«M group.» Mr. Misero is no exception. I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. It is in a great area and has a very cozy feel. There is a wait about 80% of the time, but just get one of their swirl margaritas(like the mambo taxi) and before you know it, you will be seated. I also love the layout of their patio and advice sitting out there if possible! Their queso is so delicious! They have great salad options. But I think the best thing on their menu is the fish tacos.

Well I can not say bad of this place. I’d try it again. There maybe a bit more Hype made for sure. The atmosphere and service was good. That goes a long way. But the food was just short of impressive to me. My enchiladas were dry and boring. I was expecting more flavor… something was missing.idk. Another thing is the margarita, while not bad, certainly lacked tequila. I had to spend more to get it properly mixed. Oh well. I prefer Mi Cocina for sure. Yeah Taco Diner is better too. But it maybe that I made the wrong selection. You may like it… so I’d say give it a shot!

Mr. Mesero is a cute little Mexican joint! I went at an odd time so I had no problem getting a table at the rather small location. I opted to sit outside on the deck since the weather was nice. The cuteness of the place paired with the nice weather while sitting outside paired with the quietness(since nobody else was there) made for a really relaxing experience. The waitress started us off with some chips and dips/salsas. There are three different dips and I didn’t bother asking what each one was. All I know is that they were all good! For the meal, I tried both the fish tacos and the brisket tacos. The fish taco wasn’t very good; it practically had no flavor at all. The brisket taco on the other hand was delicious! Next time I come I’ll stick with the brisket taco. It was flavorful and a lot more juicy than I expected. I should note that the freshness of both meals stood out. Overall, Mr. Mesero is a cute little joint that provides a great atmosphere. I look forward to coming back and trying some of the other items on the rather limited menu, but I think a 3-star rating is fair for now considering one dish was poor and one was great.

Mr. Mesero is one of the best Tex Mex places I’ve ever been too. I went here with family and friends the other day for my birthday and everyone enjoyed it. The restaurant is very small but the ambiance is great. You can definitely dress up and have a cute little date here. When my family and I walked in, we waited a minutes for them to set out table up. I love how the bartenders asked us if we wanted a drink while we waited. I ordered a frozen margarita and it was wonderful. My party of 13 satin the patio on a very cold night but it was nice because the patio was covered and had heaters. The table was set with chips, salsa, water, and other sauces to dip your chips in. I’m very picky with chips and salsa and theirs was AMAZING. For my entrée, I ordered the carne asada and it was so delicious. If you come here and you’re not too crazy about Mexican food, there are other American food options on the menu! One of my friends ordered a hot dog and chili and fries and he really enjoyed it. I drooled across the table when I saw it. They brought out a tres leches cake for me with a candle at the end and my sisters LOVEDIT so much they didn’t save any for me, haha. The restaurant was very packed on a Saturday night so I recommend you make reservations. Service here was ONPOINT here too. I had an amazing time here! The only reason this wasn’t a 5 star review was because when I asked for extra salsa 3 times, it never came. And when I asked for chips and salsa Togo, I never got that either. I was obviously obsessed with it. Haha

Mr. Mesero is an «American Mexican» restaurant across from KSP in Dallas. That’s not a typo: there is actually an American side of the menu, complete with burgers and hot dogs, as well a Mexican side, full of chiles, tacos, and more. I went with a few colleagues after work, and was able to make a reservation for six just minutes before arriving. I’ve heard that Mr. Mesero is the place to be for brunch, but alas, it was a Tuesday night and we all had had a long day at work. I told the waiter I was vegetarian, and he said he was able to create«whole pinto bean enchiladas» with a salsa verde. It also came with a side of cilantro rice. There were not many vegetarian options here, so I appreciated his willingness to adjust. The menu was mostly in the $ 10 – 15 range. The enchiladas were good. I would order them again if I came back to Mr. Mesero. The rice was nothing to write home about, but here I am writing about them on Unilocal. The table also ordered some chiles — habanero and serrano — on the side, which I recommend adding to your meal if you’re a masochist. Those peppers were hot. I nibbled on them, but mostly as a weak attempt at fulfilling the classic, Eastern, «strong-men-eat-spicy-food-and-don’t-sweat-it» view of masculinity. I’d come back again if I find myself in the Dallas area. There’s not much for me here as a vegetarian, but the service was attentive and the atmosphere was enjoyable.

Last weekend my husband and I went to Mesero and made the mistake of not realizing the day of the week and the timing(Friday night about 7:30 in Dallas) the wait was 45-an hour. I remembered seeing«Mr.» Mesero and I called and they said there was no wait so we hopped in the car and drove across 75. Walked in and sat right down. It was full, maybe a few tables outside left so it was just perfect timing. The music was so pleasant very beautiful and as cheesy as this is it reminded me of being in Eat Pray Love with all the food and music happening around me. It’s very small but I never once felt like I was in a crowded area. The service was fabulous. The chips came with 2 salsas. The server recommended the queso and we of course got it! It had spinach and artichoke and it was so creamy and delicious! Now for dinner: There’s so many options even tho the menu is limited. Probably because everything on the menu is delicious! I got the two chicken enchiladas with Verde, I wanna say like number 4? I could be wrong(apologies!) my hubs got one verde chicken and a brisket taco. Probably would have chosen the two enchiladas because it was a small taco. Both came with beans and rice. If I could have saved room for dessert I would have definitely ordered some! Next time I’ll limit myself to try out the different desserts and other entrée items

Great indoor outdoor seating options. Open area meaning. If you don’t like flys, you may not avoid them. Nice selection of wine and drinks. Really like they put the salt on the margaritas only half of the glass! Ordered the brisket tacos. Very moist and tasty! Got a cappuccino, hot n good! Love that have uniforms. I like to know who the employees are and they look good!

Solid Mexican restaurant that never disappoints and definitely one of my favorites in Dallas when it comes to Tex-Mex. A little background — A husband and wife owned Mi Cocina and Taco Diner and got divorced. The wife took Mico and Taco Diner and the husband started Mr. Mesero. It is very small inside and always very busy. I would definitely get a reservation for this place. You can actually text them for a reservation which is really convenient. They have a really nice patio as well which wraps around the the front of the restaurant. While waiting, you can go to the bar and order margaritas and cocktails which are made with a very good tequila and are so fresh and tasty(might be the reason I keep coming back). Only problem is it is super cramped(especially on a Friday or Saturday during dinner), and there isn’t an actual bar area and you are packed like sardines while waiting for your dinner and sipping on your margs. As for the food goes — everything is very good and fresh. Their queso is like crack — soo good! One time me and my boyfriend came with another couple and ordered two(not proud) but you get the idea of how delicious it is. I really love their brisket nachos, the cuatro, and their fideo is yummy. Hands down one of the better Tex-Mex restaurants in the area.

I came here in the late lunch window in the 3 o’clock hour. It was empty. I was one of two tables. I just felt like the service was lacking which is a common pitfall of many restaurants. If the dining hall gets empty suddenly everybody starts pulling slacker city. The food echoed this sentiment. I ordered the fish tacos, one grilled and one fried. It was superbly lackluster. Virtually no flavor. I had to whip one of the four dipping sauces that came with the chips. The sauces weren’t all that either. The colors were pretty but they aren;t enough to bring me back. The chips were round and a bit on the heartier side for me. I was actually surprised, because the reviews were so great but my experience was extremely meh. They have WiFi — the best plus. Will I come back? Maybe don’t hold your breathe…

Atmosphere: classy Came here at 8pm on a Friday evening, and we were seated right away on the patio.(By the way, the front door is like around the side, kind of confusing!) They offer complimentary chips with three dipping sauces. Not sure what I was tasting, maybe it was too fancy for me haha. My friends and I all ordered the tacos(shrimp, brisket, pork). They come with two small corn soft tacos, a side of slaw, and rice. The shrimp tacos were good. The brisket… meat was tougher than I’d like. Pork? Also a little dry. Maybe you should stick to their seafood if you come here. For me, it felt too expensive(about $ 11) for what you got. I would go to Torchy’s Tacos or hey, there’s a Chipotle next door too. It was classy though. but I want good food for a good price :)

Came here recently for a friends engagement party, but I wasn’t really pleased with the experience to be honest. From the start, there were some issues since we had a reservation, but they refused to sit us since they said they couldn’t until at least a certain number of people arrived. I think we had like 12 people there and then one more arrived and they sat us all of a sudden even though the reservation was for 16, so it makes me think the initial wait was pointless since 13 is a pretty random number. I’m not sure what the point of making a reservation is if they’re going to make us wait anyway, but their complete lack of standing room was really impractical. The food arrived some time later, and I will add that the food was pretty good, but still nothing to write home about, especially given for the prices. They brought several salsas out but to us they pretty much all tasted the same. And the queso disappeared when it was still half full midway through our meal for some reason? Not cool. Then we got a check, for all of us together. That’s fine to assume, but when we asked for it to please be split, the waiter said they couldn’t do that, which again is plausible, but when some people in the group insisted they preferred to pay for their own, she brought back split checks just for them within 3 minutes? Sounds like they could have easily split it but were trying to make it all one check for whatever reason. Overall, not impressed, won’t be back. Chuy’s is right next door and has much better service. And salsa. And prices.

One word terrible. From a house margarita that taste Ike sour mix and soap to a queso that was just made extremely thick and greasy. Goop! Chips were not house made and salsa tasted like someone put canned tomatoes. Nothing was fresh and everything was expensive. You can really judge a place by it’s bathroom. It was nasty. Nothing was clean and it seemed like it wasn’t clean for almost a week. That should have been a warning sign! We were so discouraged, we decided to cancel our entrées and leave the place hungry. Another conifer this place, it is right on the street with cars in front of your face. Honestly, Taco Bell is better than this. I will not be back. I am very surprised by the rave reviews from Unilocal.Very disappointing.
