This is one of my favorite Mexican places in Dallas. I’ve been there many, many times, and their service and food is always great. Very friendly. Anything on the menu is good – tacos, fajitas, quesadillas. There’s usually not a wait so that’s nice. But it has a fun ambience– good for groups and birthdays. Highly recommend!

Second best Mexican in all of Dallas. Their chips are unbelievable and the light green sauce is stupendous. Hidden spot at Travis Walk off of Knox.

My review is based solely on the bar. I attended a professional networking event here. Rooftop was great. Really nice view of Dallas and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I ordered a frozen margarita, which was delicious and was $ 10. Unfortunately, I missed the happy hour deal. The rooftop had all of the tables set up, which is one of the things I didn’t like about our event. It was hard to walk around and mingle with other professionals since the tables were set up. I didn’t have the opportunity to try out any of the appetizers or food, but I do plan on coming back for lunch or dinner soon.

Wow! Color me impressed(seriously because there are crayons on the table). I love Mexican food and fajitas so to have ½ price Tuesday’s «had me at hello.» We started with the chips and four dipping sauces which were great! We wifey loved the light green and I preferred the darker green. We ate two of each… I ordered a house frozen margarita which was solidly composed(though a little pricey for the small sized glass at $ 8.75 each). It was obvious they used good ingredients. Also, Wednesday’s are ½ price drinks(including bottles of wine). I’m told weekend brunches(10am-4pm) are heavily discounted at ½ price or better. I order combo fajitas(beef, chicken, shrimp) and enjoyed every bite. The beef was a tad chewy, but still very good. The chicken and shrimp were great. The corn tortillas appeared home made and were very good! The rice and beans were on par as were the sides(kudos for the side of guac as it was great)! I’m a big boy and it was too much for me to finish though I gave it my all(admittedly I ate a basket of chips and salsa and we shared 2 margaritas). I also enjoyed the Serrano Queso topping. Since its ½ price Tuesday my order was only $ 8.75 which is crazy cheap!!! Again that was a full order with sides of steak, chicken and shrimp. My bride ordered juevos rancheros and they looked perfect. The egg had crispy edges yet was sunny side up. That’s the sign of a great cook. She said it was perfect. I would have questioned her, but she darn near licked her plate clean… The service was exceptional! Jose was our waiter and he was always there at the right time. Also, the ambiance definitely feels upscale and is someplace you could bring clients. My only regret is that we weren’t able to enjoy the patio due to the weather. We’re looking forward to coming back on a warmer day to enjoy the patio and watch the sunset. Cheers Fernando! You got the winning ticket and we’ll be back.

Great drinks, great people, great place to watch the game. Had the cake dessert, apple pie was better.

I must say that the food and service was fantastic! I loved the different sauces served with the tortillas something better than the traditional salsa that other restaurants serve. We sat out on the patio which was just above Travis St. Wonderful dining experience

This is one of those times when a single, simple, short-sided snafu can ruin an entire visit. I’d have to say the team was ill-prepared to deal with it, did not respond appropriately, and the problem endured throughout our meal spoiling it. Here’s what happened: Sitting on the patio during Sunday brunch on a sunny, mild, temperate day, the overhead misters turned on. Whoever engineered these water misting fans needs to be sentenced to eating underneath them for a few months. Huge droplets of water fell out of the water nozzles of each fan and with the gentle force of the fan, flew in a variety of directions to sprinkle guests, their food, and purses throughout the patio. All at once, patrons complained and the staff scrambled to figure out how to turn off the fans. That accomplished, you’d think the watery mess was over, right? You’d be wrong. Because despite being turned off, the water pressure was still pushing small amounts of water through the nozzles. With the fans off, it was just the gentle breeze that now carried these microbe-laden water bombs through the air onto our drinks, food, and persons. I had to sit with one hand covering my drink for the remainder of the visit. What I *did* like about the place were the delicious blueberry mojitos. And the drink specials. Besides the unwelcome water feature, I also did not like the upstairs location because the winding stairwell had uneven steps(very narrow on one side and wide on the other) with gigantic planters spaced every few steps on the wide side. Another poorly thought-out design element here, my friends. Go at night or ask to be seated indoors.

This quaint and romantic location has always been an enjoyable dining experience! We returned this weekend for a little update. Service has consistently been five stars at this location morning, noon or late night. Drink specials for the weekend have changed a little now…$ 2.50 each for specials which are delicious but possibly made with Ever-clear??? You’ve got to try the blueberry mojito which is richly enhanced to taste great! Chips were fine and they offer a variety of sauces. Note, all four sauces were bland and unremarkable. This trip we had the cheese and beef enchiladas which are undisputedly the best around. The crispy beef taco was bland but accompanied by a deliciously mixed salad of cheese and chopped fresh lettuce. Guac was tasty too. Over all a great experience again and enjoyable for our weekend adventure. Only issue is now that this popular location is out, they have increased pricing across the board about 40%!(Anita & Jorge platters were $ 13 each). Still well worth it. Enjoy!

It’s totally good shit! Currently having 2.50 brunch drinks and wells till 4. That’s like college prices. I’ve only had brunch here but they hit it out of the park every time. Sure the valet can be a pain, but where isn’t valet a pain. I’m drunk right now and I’m only 7.50 in ! Yay cheap drinks and great food.

If you’re into Mexican brunch. This is the place for you. All the cocktails and brunch options are a winner. There was bottomless cocktails of your choice but I’m not sure if that is an option anymore. I’m sure the drinks are still fab though. There is valet but it is easier just to park yourself at the parking garage.

Fernando’s is such a dangerous place. I somehow always manage to have a really good time because of their $ 2.50 brunch drink specials. It’s just that their margaritas are so delicious and I’m Latin… we take our tequila like water. It doesn’t help that every weekend I get group texts because everyone wants to go to Fernando’s. Unfortunately I can’t go here more often because it’s one of those spots that I know if I go, then it’s going to be a long #hotmess day full of trouble. 3 stars for Fernando’s because I’m not really a fan of their food, with the exception of their chips and salsa. If the review was based solely on their drinks I’d rate it 10 stars for the cost effective price. I mean it’s literally the cheapest I’ve seen in Dallas… other than 1 cent margarita day for 4th of July at Banditos.

Still one of the more solid brunch options around. Updating my review as a few things have changed. Firstly, you are now brought out four different types of salsa, instead of three. The new one is maroon in color and has a smokey flavor. I suspect guajillos are involved. It’s my least favorite of the four as I find it more on the bitter end, and kind of watery, but I enjoy the additional option nonetheless. The other three remain fantastic and full of flavor. Also new is that the drinks are now $ 2.50 instead of $ 2. Still a steal in my opinion when comparing to other places in uptown. Also, if you get a mimosa, it doesn’t come out in a skinny flute, which can be downed in 3 sips. You get a nice tall glass… my kinda place. The mexican tortilla sandwich is still my all-time fav, but I’ve had the carne asada, chilaquiles, huevos mexicanos, and huevos con chorizo, and all are delicious. A great ambiance, great drink specials, good food, and excellent service, this is my go-to place for brunch if I’m feeling Tex-Mex.

Beautiful and modern environment. Not your normal Mexican Restaurant and the service is tremendous right when you step through the door. I was with a party of 20 and they were able to take care of us in a quick manner and the quality was perfect. I would definitely come back.

This is a great, and underrated brunch spot. They have lots of good brunch dishes, as well as some of their tex-mex dishes too. They offer 4 salsas, all of which are different and tasty. Their chips are perfectly fried with a nice crisp, which accompany the salsa perfectly. Their brunch drink specials are some of the best in town! The ambiance is very relaxing, I especially love the patios.

WOW, we go here all the time. The brunch is wonderful. Dinner is great also. We love this place. It can get loud at times, but it is so much fun and the food is great. We go there with about 8 or 9 people like every other Sunday. There drinks are strong and the cost is just right. I would definitely tell you to go and try out Fernando’s. Oh, and if you want to have a HUGE meal, try the dish called«The Fernando». Oh my god… you will not be able to eat it all. One more thing. the staff and managers are great, very friendly, have never had a bad experience there. Have fun…

Always good and not too crowded at lunch. Good prices. I like that they bring out 4 types of sauce. If you are chips and sauce critic, you will like.

came here for brunch with some of my Unilocal family. we were seated right away… awesome! great brunch drink specials, but the food is nothing to write home about and since you have to order the food in order to take advantage of the drink specials… ugh…what am i to do! I may come back and try something different

Fernando’s is always good whether you are looking for a bite to eat or just to catch a quick drink. They serve you three different salsas with chips before the waiter even comes. Make sure you try them all. The staff is always overly accommodating and very friendly. If you find yourself here, make sure to try one of their frozen, top-shelf margaritas. They are amazing.
