I have a soft spot for food court teriyaki and this hit that spot! Fresh & tasty. Miso soup loaded with tofu & seaweed the way I like.

This is one of my favorite spots to eat when I come to north park, the food is delicious and it’s always on point. Fills me up every time.

I placed a to-go order(steak and shrimp plate), but received chicken and shrimp. I wouldn’t complain if they were priced the same, but that’s not the case. Some may say«check your order,» and that may be true; but there is something to be said for competence, READINGANORDERPRINTOUT, and getting an order right. Needless to say, I will not likely return… caveat emptor.

Perfect example of a place that has gone down hill. I use to love their dumplings and teriyaki steak. I got my food today and the dumplings were mainly dough, and you can tell, store bought. They were also way undercooked(center was cold, and you still could taste the dough). The teriyaki steak was crispy due to burn marks and the rice still crunchy. It was definitely not worth the $ 12! I know they need to be fast to be in a mall location but cook your food!

Dog food. Actually, I would not feed this to my dog. We had the steak steamed rice vegetables plate. Rice overcookef and odd tasting mush. The veggies were pieces of cabbage, a couple of thin sliced zucchini, and a tiny piece of icky tasting broccoli. The steak was the coup de gras. Teeny fried pieces of fat and gristle, flat slices that seemed coated in flour before frying, horrible sub par inedible crap I would not see in a can of dog food. Teriyaki sauce was just greasy blah. $ 20 I cannot get back. Literally the worst waste of money. They should be shut down.

Waited in line for 25 minutes only to be told it would be another 20 minutes till the rice was done. Great planing on a Friday night.

Pretty good: steak & chicken combo, salmon. They had sushi too and selling stuff from Panda Express.

Trying all the high end hibachi was not as good as this at the mall. The food is really tasty and cheap. You get so much that I have to share a mea with someone. I get the steak and chicken or steak and shrimp with steam rice. The yaki soba noodles are Delian. They have fresh sushi made to go as well which is good. If your at northpark mall and never had it you must try it will not disappoint you.

For mall food, it’s not bad. I got the mini chicken teriyaki, and it was less than $ 5. Pretty flavorful and good taste.

At every mall there’s usually a typical selection of fast food that you can pick from. Hibachi-San fills the niche of the cook to order teriyaka spot(typically I’ve seen Sarku Japan at other malls I’m familiar with). It’s located right next to Panda Express(owned by the same company) to create a pseudo-Asian corner for your convenience. Overall it’s pretty decent. Combos come with a side of rice(steamed or fried) and stir fried vegetables. I tried the spicy garlic honey chicken and the steak teriyaki. The chicken was pre-cooked and kept in a warm container while the teriyaki was cooked fresh. Of course, the freshly cooked food was more tender and juicy, but the chicken held up its end for being pre-cooked. There was plenty of sauce that the fried rice also absorbed the delicious meat juices to give the meal flavor as well. All in all, what you’d expect out of mall food(though the line moved a bit slower than I’d expected).

Better than we expected for mall food court hibachi. Flavors and food was on point. Generous portions. Will def return :)

Ooo mall food court food! Hibachi-san isn’t like going to a sit down hibachi restaurant, but it does offer up a solid/huge protein/veggie meal for under $ 10 with a drink. You can order your meal without rice — and sub extra veggies. I’m not a huge fan of the shrimp, but the chicken and veggies are perfectly tasty and definitely give you a salt high. Honestly though, if the food weren’t salty it wouldn’t be hibachi-like enough, especially since it is food court food. Simple effective system of calling out order numbers once your ticket is ready. Just lurk to the right and wait after you order and pay.

I realize there’s not much to expect from mall food-court restaurants but I couldn’t let this one go without a comment. Even as fast food compared with other fast food, it’s pretty bad. Had the steak and shrimp combo with mushrooms, fried rice and vegetables. The first thing to notice is that the ingredients are cooked rather unevenly with some pieces of steak well-done and others still bloody, and likewise some vegetables sauteed and others crisp and almost raw. Too much cooking oil over everything leaves it with a greasy sheen and a slick mouthfeel. The rice was gummy, sticky and stale and was the worst part of the dish. A greasy hamburger or even a dish from neighboring Panda Express would have been much more satisfying.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I gave up on this place months ago due to the older lady running the cash register… Totally rude. I gave in tonight because my coworker wanted to eat there… Same lady taking my money, same rude attitude. I almost made her just cancel the order and give me my money back… I should just stick to my boycott when I start one.

The rice tastes like it’s been sitting out for days. Oh wait, it has. Go to a real hibachi restaurant. If you’re at the mall, you should just stick to chickfila or something quick.

Oooo weee this is good mall food! Ok, I can only attest to one dish, but man it’s good… Get the steak teriyaki plate… tastes like Pei Wei’s Mongolian Beef… only I think Hibachi-San’s meat is more tender and not as chewy as Pei Wei’s. The fried rice is great and the portion size is large. This is GOOD«fast food».

This is a quick cook Japanese place inside the Northpark Mall. I get spells where I just want one certain type of food for a couple of days and I’m in my Japanese fetish. First off, if you don’t like greasy food, this place isn’t for you. I got the chicken teriyaki plate that comes with a good amount of chicken and vegetables. Unfortunately, they use a lot of oil on the chicken AND vegetables. The food was very good. Chicken had good flavor, and the vegetables definitely tasted like vegetables. But…I felt incredibly unhealthy afterward. Like, I needed to work out… soon. It also began my food coma, which was not good as I was shadowing a dentist right after eating. bleck. Anyways, this place was really fast. I had just finished paying and putting my straw in my drink and my to go box was ready and waiting. I guess during the lunch hour, they get a bit hectic so they precook the chicken to serve. I didn’t realy mind. Tasted good. And for $ 8.12 after tax, it wasn’t a bad deal IMO. But I probably won’t go back… I felt artery damage.
