I sent an email on Monday, 6⁄12 via their website that was never returned. I really didn’t want to post on here, but you are leaving me no choice. Monday’s experience left a horrible taste in my mouth. The employees need to be retrained on how to handle food. The building is clean and inviting but the lack of hand washing and changing gloves ruined my wrap and ultimately my lunch. Seems like all the employees kept the same pair of gloves regardless of how many orders they completed. Which I don’t think is sanitary. I frequented this location multiple times in the past 6 months, I’ve even converted numerous coworkers with me to enjoy the salads and wraps. That all changed on Monday. I went in around lunch time and ordered the usually, Buffalo Chicken Wrap. The lady with blue hair that made my wrap was not as pleasant and appeared to be struggling. She looked very flustered and had difficulty making my wrap. I understand that people have off days, but this was unlike any other bad day. She handed me my wrap and I got this stench of sweat and mildew. At first, I figured it was maybe someone that walked by, I then proceeded to smell my hand that my wrap was no longer in and it smelled like someone else’s sweat. I thought no way this stench is from my wrap. I walked to the table and had my coworkers smell the wrap without first warning them. They both looked disgusted. It was bad. One of the worst smells I have ever smelled. I was sick to my stomach thinking those hands wrapped my wrap! No way could I eat that. I went up to the counter and spoke to a man advising him of my issue. His response«That is disgusting» He asked if I wanted another one. My answer? Hell no. I was sick to my stomach from the smell and couldn’t even think about eating another thing. I never ask for a refund. This was the first time. This place is far from sanitary. When it comes to food handling Hygiene is very, very important. Still waiting on the refund to go back on my card. Every issue described is preventable. I will not be back for awhile.

I’ve eaten at this location and the North Dallas location a few times. I’ve enjoyed the salads that I’ve gotten each time. The Street Taco is my favorite. Unfortunately, my last experience at the Greenville Avenue location was less than satisfactory. I walked in to a long line of people, which was no big deal because one of the gentlemen behind the counter took my order relatively quickly. After my order was taken, however, it appears that actually making my salad was less of a priority. I stood and watched as the 4 people behind the counter made salads for the 4 – 5 people in front of me in line, the 3 people behind me in line, and several to go orders for people that were not even there. I was asked twice what I ordered and just when I thought my salad was about to be started… nope, another to go order for someone who is not physically standing in front of the counter. I probably would have felt a little better about the whole thing if someone had showed a little concern, but it was more like I was inconveniencing them by placing an order. I do like the salads and might even give this location another try since it’s close to my home, but I do hope that the customer service on my next visit will be better. Otherwise, I’ll have to make the drive up 75 to another location.

2016 Unilocal 100 Challenge Review #25 I finally got around to visiting this Greenville Avenue eatery. I settled in on a popular choice, the Street Taco which is described as: Spicy Chicken, Romaine, Grape Tomato, Grilled Sweet Corn, Bacon, Texas Cotija, Tortilla Strips, Jalapeño Ranch. It was delicioso! I love cotija cheese and c’mon bacon makes everything tastes better right! The salad dressing gave it just the right amount of kick. I also tried the hibiscus tea which was not what I was expecting but hey — there was to trying new things. Overall, the customer service was A1. Everyone was really nice and very helpful. I tend to ask a lot of questions especially if it’s my first time to visit. THe restaurant was very clean and has both indoor and outdoor(picnic benches) seating. The restrooms are located in the rear. Of course, parking is street or a nearby lot. The only reason I didn’t give them more stars is because I felt the price point was a bit steep given the size of my salad. I spent about $ 14 for both my salad(which I believe only comes in one standard size) and a drink(tea). But the freshness and taste of my salad was wonderful. They have a great check-in deal that I didn’t see until I left which is a free drink which would’ve came in handy. They also offer little cupcakes for dessert, I think.

Came in today for the first time and had maybe the best salad I’ve ever consumed. The service was also incredible. I was helped by the extremely patient, sweet and informative Grace and she totally shaped my experience by letting me sample dressings, answering all of my obnoxious questions and being positive and passionate about the company. If I could afford it, I’d go there all the time.

These are fresh pre-made salads. You can convert the salad into a flatbread or wrap. It’s a great option for people who want a healthier option or who are looking for something light. I love the herb waldorf salad and the chickpea salad. But, if you don’t want a pre-made salad, you’ve got the option to build your own salad. It’s awesome that they have falafel and tofu as protein options. I want to love this place; however, a key ingredient is often missing when you order delivery, the protein. It’s essentially only three items: greens, proteins and toppings. How do you forget the protein? I’m not paying to eat straight greens. I can make that myself. Get it together, Crisp.

Very good salad and worth the price for the quality and location; however, employees behind the counter just seemed to be in a pissed off mood. They could stand to be a bit more friendly.

I’m absolutely in love with their Buffalo Chicken Salad. I discovered this place through Postmates(which is an awesome delivery service by the way if you’ve never tried it) when looking for somewhere to have lunch delivered downtown. I’ve ordered the same salad seven times within the last three weeks because they’re just that tasty! My one, and only, issue is that my buffalo sauce and ranch(included with the salad) is normally tucked into the salad bowl. However, this is the second time that I haven’t received either of them. I’m inclined to think since they’re inside of the bowl that this is in no relation to Postmates’ delivery service. My buffalo chicken salad is now just a fried chicken salad with no dressing. The lack of attention to detail by the CS servers is making me less inclined to continue my rather frequent ordering. Otherwise, very tasty salad, but that seemingly small(but big in my mind) oversight just took my awesome salad to just a… well, okay salad.

Great place to grab a quick, healthy meal. Their hours are 11am to 9pm every day, so when we wandered in at 3pm on a Sunday to a mostly empty establishment nobody blinked an eye. You can choose one of their Signature Salads or build your own salad(it’s set up like a Subway or Chipotle, you can see all the ingredients and watch them make it). I chose the Superfood Salad, which is grilled shrimp, spinach, quinoa, marinated apple, corn, and black beans tossed in a lemon vinaigrette. For about $ 10, you get a huge salad, I almost couldn’t finish it. My boyfriend opted for the Curry Waldorf salad in wrap form(you can turn any salad into a wrap for a little extra). The Curry Waldorf is grilled chicken, romaine, grapes, raisins, marinated apple, cilantro and walnuts, tossed with a curry dressing. He loved the wrap. We also decided to split a bowl of tomato soup($ 5.95) and we each got a hunk of their daily artisan bread(that day it was Jalapeño Cheddar, $ 0.90). The bread comes with garlic butter, and was a a great side to the soup and salad. So we got a lot of great food for just over $ 30 after tax. Also, right now there’s a check-in offer for a free fountain drink or iced tea, and they have some interesting iced teas. Definitely check this place out if you’re in the mood for something healthy and fast.

As usual, I see the usual suspects leaving some whiney reviews. Been twice. We’ve each tried something different each time. Buffalo Chicken Salad, the Waldorf, The Street Taco. All of them were crisp, fresh, and delicious. For $ 8 – 10 per salad and not being pushy on tips, it’s very reasonable, imho. Our experience is that the staff were clean, putting on new gloves when they made our salads. They were also really nice; They might not be as extroverted as the picky Unilocalers want them to be, but a smile and a little small talk was there. I’ll have to try the Chickpea next time. Yes, there will definitely be a next time.

I would have to agree with a lot of the reviews I have seen pointing out that this place just doesn’t seem sanitary. I have only been three times but every time I have had serious issues with the lack of gloves on employees. The food is ok but not very healthy — the calorie count must be insane given the rich dressings and for the prices everything should be organic. It is so easy to spend more than $ 20 on a simple salad. I’ve just started going to the Central Market and Whole Foods salad bars since they are more affordable.

How they handle food is my problem. The place seemed clean enough but lack of hand washing and changing gloves ruined my appetite. Of the three people behind the counter, the first person who wrote down our order in gloves, put that same hand in the lettuce(no tongs) I let that slide. Second person behind the counter was only working with food and had gloves on the whole time. My order went to the third person who was scratching his eyebrow in gloves, then touched my salad with those same gloves. Took one glove off to ring us up and eventually cleaned tables with that same glove on, then went back behind the counter. I couldn’t eat it. They all seemed miserable to be there.

I’ve never loved any salad place, but this place was awesome! So many fresh choices and dressings! I had the tsatziki avocado dressing which was amazing. Also they don’t skimp on avocado which is key. Coconut curry soup also delicious. Went here on a nice warm day and sat outside on the patio. I’ll def be coming back!

I came here thinking I would be getting a normal salad and all I found was disappointment. It was one of the worst salads I’ve ever had in my life. The ingredients were not fresh, the dressing was bland and the service was awful. I mean, how bad can you mess up a salad? The spinach wasn’t even fully cut up. I asked for a box to go and got no response from the person working there. Instead they just rudely handed me the container without even saying a word or looking up. Safe to say I will not be going to back to this place again.

Crisp is a great healthy option of nice size salads. I really liked how they were made and the ingredients were very fresh. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was clean. However, I feel like Crisp is lacking something. They need a few more options and should drop a dollar off of their salads. They were just a little too over– priced for what they were offering. I would also suggest a smaller location until they get steady business.

I tried Crisp for the first time with a gal pal last night. I was super excited to try it out since a new location is being built right by my house in North Dallas! We walked in and there wasn’t a soul in the building. The stark interior reminded me of Snappy Salads but felt colder with the lack of crowd. My friend and I started to review the menu and asked for a few suggestions. While we were gazing up at the menu, we noticed a drip from the ceiling. We laughed and mentioned it to the staff. «Oh it’s just the ac!» they knowingly replied. Dripping into the food? *cringe* Thankfully, I chose a salad that contained none of the condensation concoctions and watched my stainless steel bowl of greens come to life. The dressing to salad ratio was perfect and I happily enjoyed my Street Taco mix. I even had enough to take home! I really hope this location stays in business but it seems kinda«meh» compared to the hustle and bustle of Lowest Greenville. Fingers crossed for the North Dallas location!

They have a pretty great selection of salad toppings(everyday and seasonal). I have the Superfood Salad with shrimp, quinoa, and other goodies. It comes out to be about $ 10, but I was satisfied after eating it, so I was fine paying it(if a salad makes you full, it does a good job in my book). I love this area of Greenville too for waling around and visiting the Truck Yard after my healthy salad. I actually like this salad place more than its competitors! Bravo!

HUGE, delicious, fresh salads here! Stopped by Crisp Salad for the first time after a workout JR and I’m glad we came here! First of all, let me just say that the customer service here was phenomenal! Chase was so very patient with us and walked us through the steps of ordering, since it was our first time and we had no idea where to start! I really appreciated that. it really made my experience here at Crisp Salad that much better. Thanks, Chase! OK; now on to the salad! They offer specialty salads with rotating seasonal salads on their menu. OR, you can do a BYOS(build your own salad) with a max of 8 toppings, and a wide selection of dressings(that they do let you taste-sample). I decided on a BYOS; half arugula/half spring mix salad. My topping choices were: roasted corn, double edamame, artichokes, beets, grilled herb chicken, mandarin oranges and feta cheese. My dressing of choice was a lemon vinaigrette. It was the perfect addition to my salad! So refreshing and delicious! We sat out on the patio(weather was beautiful!) people-watched and enjoyed our salad. The salads are served in a large silver bowl and was so big, i took my left overs to-go and had it for lunch the next day! I was completely pleased with my experience here and look forward to coming back. My only minor complaint is that I wish the chopping was less. chopped? The bites were a little too small so sometimes it was hard to fork a good bite in. I dont really like my greens minced but sometimes it did feel that way. TIP: If you don’t expect to finish your entire salad, ask for the dressing on the side, so that your next day salad isnt soggy =P

My only regret to eating at Crisp is that I’ll have to demote ALL my other fast casual restaurants by 1 star. Crisp has set my new gold standard. My girlfriend and I stopped here for a quick bite while visiting friends in town. On first inspection, Crisp has a sleek, modern, hip atmosphere. The restaurant visually draws your attention to the counter and menu. A friendly guy named Derrick took my order. Do you know how I knew his name was Derrick? Because he introduced himself and took a few moments to orient me to the restaurant and explain the Crisp modus operandi. Basically, it’s an order at the counter, made in front of you(similar to Chipotle) and grab a side, soup or drink before checkout. I had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. I was immediately impressed by the greens, very fresh. The romaine lettuce was medium to dark green and firm. No signs of discoloration. The grilled chicken had a nice flavor which complemented the dressing nicely. And here is an important note — the chicken was grilled to order. No microwave. I watched one team member grill the chicken breast while another employee prepared the rest of my salad. Having your meats cooked to order is a rarity in the fast casual business. The salad portions are surprisingly large. I was full after eating about 70% of the salad. As I was checking out, I checked in on Unilocal.Along with the check-in came a free mini-cupcake. It was an unexpected and tasty dessert. I’d rate the cupcakes independently at a 4⁄5. It was red velvet with moist cake and well proportioned cream cheese icing. Very nice… and free. My last surprise was discovering Crisp is locally owned and operated. One of the owner’s introduced himself to me as I was checking out. I could tell the guy took pride in his restaurant and their product. He kindly thanked me for my patronage and encouraged me to come back. I’m from out of town, so likely will not. But in true Unilocal fashion, I will leave them with a well-deserved 5 star recommendation. I hope to see some more Crisp stores in the DC and Nashville areas!

Well Crisp has made it’s way to be one of my regular lunch spots. Initially I was introduced to Crisp through a Unilocal event and since then I have come back several times on my own. It took several times for me to embrace the concept and to try several of the salad choices, but I’ve had nothing but a good time trying out their selections. Don’t let the size of the salad fool you, they are very good at hunger satisfying you. I believe my favorite is the Street Taco. They also offer some bite size cup cake deserts and wine. The only 2 things I wish was different are. I wish they had window shades for the late summer afternoons. It’s a bit warm when you’re sitting by the windows on the hotter days. And second, I wish the salads had a calorie count on the menu. Other than that. you can’t go wrong eating at Crisp!
