Burger House used to be the BOMB. I was so excited to hit it up again after not eating there since 2008, but booo, I see that some memories are better left in the past. My favorite combo was the Zoe’s «Chicken Sandwich Supreme», which is a grilled chicken breast sandwich with bacon, grilled onions, Swiss cheese and served with Famous Fries. Sounds delicious, right? The sandwich was still okay, but I am not sure what happened to their fries. It tasted just like the cardboard fries you get at In and Out. Very disappointing. I defintiely want to give them another chance to see if I just went on an off night or something, but something tells me that this is just their new standard.

Amazing burgers, shakes, fries, corndogs, everything!!! This is a classic Dallas burger spot. Been there forever. You can never go wrong with a burger from here. Simple, inexpensive, and delicious food. One of the best burgers in Dallas!!! Get a shake too

This is not a gourmet burger. Repeat: This is not a gourmet burger… and that is exactly why it’s good. Think Whataburger but even more local. Little quarter pound burgers with a copious amount of seasoning. Extra seasoning on the fries. Lots of JL Long and Woodrow kids inside at all times, but that is just tradition, now isn’t it?

Burger House burgers are pretty good. They cook ‘em to order so it does take a minute, but they’re always nice and hot. The patties are thin, and they must use fairly lean ground beef because they’re not too juicy. Some people love their seasoned salt, and boy they put it on everything. My opinion is its way too salty, so skip it or ask them to go easy. The fries are thin and soft, and when they lump them in the container they get soggy — not my style. The onion rings are fantastic: crispy, greasy, hot, and they put plenty in an order. Good if you’re nearby, but not my favorite.

I absolutely LOVE burger house! They make an excellent thin patty burger, but I usually opt for Zoe’s chicken sandwich. As for the sides, my favorites are chili cheese fries with jalapeños or cheese fries with bacon. FYI this location also offers beer in the drive-thru. If you’re feeling like a super fat kid order a shake-you won’t regret it!

My favorite fast food burger joint! The chili cheese fries are the bees knees and the perfect cure for a hangover. I use their seasoning on my burgers when I grill. Counting down the second till they open!

They rip you off. Don’t give any recipes for proof or purchase and then get your order wrong. Run by complete numb skulls who are most likely illegal. This used to be so much better when it was the only location in UP, this franchise thing has made them complete waste of time. AVOID

The most underrated burger in DFW! The fries are nice and crispy, yet not overdone. A must try!

I’ve been eating at Burger House for over 15 years. Whenever I’m in the area & I want a good burger, I have to stop by Burger House. They have a really good old fashioned burger. But I love their Fries & Onion rings. They have the best seasoning as well. So if you’re in the area stop by and have a burger along with Jacks«famous fries»!!!

I’ve come here three or four times now and have tried out most of their menu(which isn’t hard to do at a no frills burger joint) and haven’t been particularly impressed by the offerings. I guess it has history going for it, but that’s about it. It’s pretty hard for a burger joint to do well in Dallas now that there’s such a proliferation of boutique burger places The burgers are your typical thin, smashed against the grill type variety. They’re well-seasoned with some mixture of herbs, but they’re definitely not thick and juicy if that’s what you’re craving. The fries are pretty standard here and there’s nothing realyl special about them. The onion rings are great however, and I would recommend doing that over their fries. I’ve also had one of their specials a while ago which was a mashup of a chili cheese hot dog and a hamburger, which was gigantic and gluttonous to the max. It worked, but it was basically a hot dog stuffed into a burger and a novelty item at best. The inside of the place is somewhat small and sort of reminds me of a cross between a bar and an old Sonny Bryan’s store. There are some classic arcade games. that you would typically see at a bar as well. Overall, this place is pretty ordinary to me and I mainly come back only when others insist on coming here.

Have driven by there a million times and finally hit the drive through today. Cheeseburger was good, not great for $ 4.50. Small fries for $ 1.99 were awesome and a HUGE portion, but I’m still peeved over paying $ 1.89 for a 16 oz «medium» drink. That is ridiculous.

Good option for a casual burger restaurant visit. I like the burger and fries, like the other BH locs. The fries are a bit more salty than most, but the seasoning is good! Why not support a local burger place

Okay, two reviews here — 1st: the burger was pretty good. Kinda likfe a custom made whataburger(which is not my favorite, but has a HUGE fan following). Fresh and pretty good, just not my favorite. 2nd: the chicken sandwich was OFFTHECHAIN — grilled onions and all the fixins’ — really was OHMYGOD good. I am only giving 4 stars because the burger was a 3, the chicken burger was a 5. Definitely will be trying more from the menu.

In love with this place! Best burgers in dallas. The seasoning is fantastic. The burgers are soooo tasty! The fries are long and stringy, and the chocolate shakes are to die for. Very rich and thick. You cannot go wrong here. Just wish they had more locations so I wouldn’t have a long drive, but totally worth the drive.

Are there better burgers to be had in Dallas? Y’know the craft burgers with bison and Gorgonzola? Well, yes. I have a nostalgic affection for Burger House. If I am going to get a fast food burger, I will usually opt for BH. Two standouts. Their fries are really great. They have a season salt which makes the potatoes pop.(I think it is celery salt and pepper, but still good.) They make their shakes fresh. One of the chocolate shakes is a tempting indulgence on a hot day. Prices are low. Value is good.

If it wasn’t for this place I would have a lean, mean supermodel body. But as it is, I get a burger, fries and a coke about once a week and cry in my car because I have no self esteem. But for those thirty minutes as I eat Jack’s I’m in heaven. Soooo good. Almost as good as the sex I give up to eat it. It’s the damn garlic salt they put on the fries. Some people say for a good, cheap fast food burger it’s all In-N-Out but F that. They can go back to Cali. Jack’s is local. Support local! Plus it’s just better. Seriously. Go get some right now. Then cry a little. Then get your ass to the gym.

Compared to the other burger options in the metroplex, a 3 star is fair and warranted. The burgers are better than chain fast food options and not as good as Kellers, Offsite Kitchen, Maple and Motor, Dairy-ette, etc. The fries are super salty but good. The staff are friendly and fast. I’ll be back if I’m near and jonesing for a burger, but I won’t go out of my way to return.

Burger House is pretty dang good if I don’t say so myself. I like to go when I have a hankerin for a chili dog. I’ve never actually been inside this location, but the drive through works for me. According to their sign they have drive through beer. I’ve never asked for it but if the sign says it, it must be true. They do have some good fries and tots that they put some sort of magic on. I think it’s cavenders or maybe greek seasoning, but whatever it is I love it. Maybe one day I’ll get that drive through beer. Who knows?

Burger House gets four stars from me, mainly because of those addictively delicious seasoned fries and its ultra convenient drive-through and location. It’s so convenient to my job that I end up stopping multiple times a week either for a late lunch on my way home or an early dinner on my way in. The burgers are pretty basic thin patties with all of the typical burger toppings available. They are always hot and the ingredients fresh. Cheese fries or chili cheese fries are meals in and of themselves. Loaded down with melty cheddar cheese greatness. You’ll probably need to share with a friend, although you may not want to: D Milkshakes, malts, fountain drinks and beer-to-go all wash it down nicely.. . But oh those fries.. .
