Snuffer’s Restaurant & Bar

I came here thinking, ‘yum, burgers + famous snuffers fries’ and thinking there might be a happy hour during happy hour time. Poor choice. The small cheese fries are $ 5.99 (just cheese + fries). I’ve had better from a freezer bag. Burgers are just what you expect — average. If you want a good burger, you have many more options.

Normally when you go back to a great place after a long time you are disappointed. Not this place today. Really like that the menu has not exploded like most places. Their menu is quite small but I bet they do everything on it really really good.
I had the classic cheeseburger. Really like that the default cooking is medium-​rare. The way it should be.
The cheese fries were also great but they could have used a little bit more seasoning.

Those 3 starts only for the food, because the food is great. they need to improve the temperature on the fries./For A Thursday nite after 9pm it shouldn’t be a big deal bringing these fries HOTTT. Nothing personal w those waitress. but at first it was one. then a second one stope by our table asking if we need it anything. We said we needed it the topping for the cheese fries.& she never came back w them. Then after a while the First waitress came back & asked the same question.& me & my girlfriend were wt heck.
Then it was about 10:30pm & my girlfriend asked for coffee & the waitress said it was late. just period. She not even said let me ask the people at the kitchen or manager. or if I can do something for you… plus she add a burger we not even ordered.
Costumer service should be better at this point. BUT this particular waitress. The guy manager he fixed our bill then allow us to order 2 more beers HE is the bomb!!! thanks!

We went to Snuffers tonight hoping to have a few beers, apps and burgers.
Our experience started with us watching 2 other tables that walked in after order drinks and have them served. We had to stand up and call the nearest server to get service. At this point there are maybe 7 tables in the restaurant max! We ordered 5 apps from the HH menu that took over 15 min to arrive and 3 of the dishes were COLD! Sent them back only to have them return within 2 minutes… SMH they MICROWAVED the food they served us cold! We ate our cold/​microwaved apps quickly and got out of there ASAP.
I should have asked to speak to the manager but figured it was a lost cause since the place was not crowded at all.

Delicious fresh burgers cooked to perfection. Fresh buns, nice assortment of toppings. Great fries, awesome fresh onion rings. Reasonably priced, great service.

You can’t beat a Snuffer’s burger and this week we were really surprised that they were offering a Thanksgiving burger. It was a turkey patty with dressing and cranberries! My son loved it. The avocado bacon cheeseburger was delish and we came right in time for Happy Hour. Margaritas were $ 3 and appetizers were discounted as well. Great meal. Great service. Great atmosphere for a burger (lots of big screen televisions and comfortable booths). It was all for a terrific price at 3:00 p.m.

It’s a shame that this place has become so hit or miss. Some days the fries are great, and some days they’re dry with cold cheese on them. And you’ll be charged if you ask for more chives (because there’s so little) or extra ranch. Familiar staff who’d been here for years are all gone, and the food may take forever even when the place is not full. For years I had lunch here multiple times a week, and my kids were raised on weekly trips from the time they were two. At least the Preston center location still feels like Snuffer’s.

Snuffer’s has been at this very location for many years. It’s been remodeled and it’s much more open than it used to be. The food is ok, the service is ok. The problem is that Snuffer’s hasn’t changed, at all, over all these years and now, there are better burgers serviced in some pretty cool places.
If you want a place to gather with friends and eat and drink and be merry, this is your place. If you want new and different, and maybe a little better with lots of ambience, maybe you should find another place.
I have no complaints about this place, but also, nothing to celebrate.

Lunch with co-​workers.
We ordered The Original Cheddar Fries, and order of Onion Fries, Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Club and Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. We all thought the food was pretty good… but the server was slow as molasses.
The place is clean, with a patio… we arrived right around noon, there were several parking spaces and seating.
The excitement is in the cheddar fries for sure. I see why everyone talks about them as being on the top of their list. They’re pretty darn good.

My wife and I came for a cheese fry fix. Our craving was definitely satisfied! We had cheese fries and a few happy hour beers to wind down from hectic days at work.
Every other trip we have taken to Snuffers has been soured from poor service. We were pleasantly surprised today. We had a server named Itzel who was great!

I am so disappointed to see all the low reviews. As a local Dallas institution, my father suggested that we try this place. Apparently it was sold just recently to mogul restaurant group Firestone, which also owns Meso Maya and another Dallas classic El Fenix.
We ordered a green chile burger cooked medium rare and a small order of loaded fries. The burger was honestly awesome and I’m so picky when it comes to a good burger. The meat was juicy, but not greasy and the cheese was melted perfectly. The cheese didn’t taste processed either.
The fries were also out of this world. There was so much cheese on them, with every fry I could taste the cheese. This is important in regards to cheese fries and Snuffers meets the expectation.
I will most certainly be back and to be honest, with so much choice in Dallas, it’s hard to say that.
I will admit the service was not on par, but the food was so good, I’m over looking it– this time.

Horrible never coming back. Ordered a to go order chicken strips burger and loaded cheese fries very sad. Worst food for thirty dollars I’ve ever had. Can’t even eat anything. It’s all trash! I’m super disappointed. This is why I go to Jake’s or Keller’s.

Burger joints seem to be a chain that is all around in all cities. I tried this one when I was on vacation in Dallas. The parking wasn’t very good because it is a small lot, but it is clustered into a few other locations. So you may have to find a parking spot on the street somewhere.
You walk in and are seated. They have a decent menu to look at. Tons of burger choices and the fried pickles for an appetizer were so delicious. They were nicely fried and good with the ranch dressing.
The mushroom burger I ordered was a nice tender flavor with many delicious condiments. I made it into two pieces because it was huge. I also tried the cheese fries, which wasn’t a very good side I had. I’ve had better fries in my life but I think the burger was delicious and delectable.
The staff was good and the food was pretty good despite the poor cheese fries. I think I would come back for the burgers next time I visit Dallas and see what other appetizers that they have to offer.

Kinda disappointing… the burger I had was good. But everthing else was only ok. And the service was pretty crappy and slow. Which is sad considering the place was practically empty when we were there… really no reason for bad service. Our appetizers took forever to come out, and when they did they were cold

If you like burgers then you have to check this place out! My friend had talked about this place before and we finally checked it out.
The area is very nice, plenty of parking and the seating area offers either bar seating, dining seating or outdoor covered seating. The overall look is classy, but not too classy so it doesn’t seem way out of your price range.
The cheese fries were amazing. They do not cheat you on either the cheese, or the jalapenos or the fries or the bacon. Just the right amount of everything. Perfect seasoning.
The burgers were great too. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it was great. The only thing that threw me off was the mustard. I’m not a big fan of mustard so it was probably my fault for not asking to have it substituted for mayo or ketchup. The buns were very tasty and fresh as well.
Our server was very attentive and kept refilling our drinks without us having to ask. The place was playing some music and TVs were on but it was quiet enough for my friend and I to talk. Granted we went on a Thursday night, but I assume the service will be this way on other days as well.
I think next time I go back I’ll order the burger without the mustard and I hopefully I enjoy my experience as much as I enjoyed it this time. I’m proud to give Snuffer’s my first ever 5 star rating. Keep up the good work guys!

The burger was good (despite the boring bun and almost green tomato). There are better cheese fries out there. The drinks rely a lot on a not so tasty sour mixer.
The service was a mess. The hostess waived in the direction of our table to «seat» us. One guy asked us for our drink order, promptly forgot it, and came back to ask us again for it. Someone else brought our drinks. A third person came back to take our order. Um, menus? Apparently, no one has that job!
A fourth person brought our order, and it took a while to find anyone to bring us the missing part of our order. Given the number of people we’d seen, I have no idea who had the responsibility for making sure our order was correct. Two other people in Snuffer’s outfits randomly walked around, inspecting tables — more creepy than anything as it wasn’t obvious that they ever helped any customers.
Loud and parking is difficult.

We left Sundown at Granada because of slow service. Excellent service at Snuffers!!! Food was great as usual!

In the past I’ve only allowed a biannual visit for loaded cheese fries… which are worth all the calories, all the cholesterol, all the heartburn and all the guilt… and more. But I might be changing my tune, because I’ve found another evil, which is probably just as bad, but somehow doesn’t seem quite so sinful…
The mushroom swiss burger. I know, there are lots of mushroom burgers, and frankly, I like most of them, but I was surprised by this one. It is fantastic. Nothing unusual, just a good burger.
That being said, the regular fries and fried onions are just ok.

So disappointed in our dinner tonight. We ordered it to go and when my husband got home with the food I felt bad for being the one who had chosen Snuffers for dinner! He ordered the spicy chicken fingers which were small pitiful pieces of chicken and a very small pile of French fries. Just doesn’t make sense for a meal priced at $ 9?!
For my order, I got the club sandwich. Which was most definitely the saddest club sandwich I have ever had. To sum it up the bacon on the club were bacon bits. I guess they just use the bacon from what they would put on the loaded fries, so instead of fixing a few strips of bacon for a sandwich they just threw bits and pieces of that bacon on there. So disappointed in this meal and not one I would choose to have again.

I came here for lunch today with a coworker. We both had not visited the remodeled restaurant. We decided to choose a table in the middle of the restaurant.
Here is a breakdown of what we ordered:
Appitizers: Small order of cheese fries.
The small was large enough and filling enough to split between two people. Snuffers does not skimp on the bacon or chives! YUM!
Entrée: crispy buffalo chicken sandwich
I was extremely dissapointed in the buffalo chicken sandwich. First, the chicken was not crispy. I was imagining a fried, juicy chicken sandwich dipped in buffalo sauce. Well, the chicken was super thin and dry. Thank god for the buffalo sauce. I kept looking at my friend’s burger and tried to imagine it on my plate. I paid $ 8 for a tiny piece of meat on a sandwich.
The renovation looked sharp. I enjoyed the ambiance. Parking was easy and we got a front row seat. This is my second time ordering chicken at a snuffers location. I don’t think I will go for a third. I might not even come back.
