Tonight we went out for a family dinner. Choose Long Horn because it’s always safe that it will have something that everyone likes. And this is true of tonight. We received our meals and about half way through, my wife noticed something on her plate that didn’t belong. The staff quickly took it away and the manager brought her a new dish. Then the manager went above our expectations. The customer service here is awesome. We didn’t expect what we got and it was very nice of them to do what they did. We left with a smile and we will be back again!

Came here for a quick lunch with my honey while getting my car serviced. It’s easy to spot from the road and is right near the intersection of Buford Hwy and Market Place Blvd in Cumming, off exit 14 on 400. Lots of open parking! Lunch crowd was sparse on this visit, and we snagged a booth. I noticed they were playing some alternative music when we walked in, which was a first for me to hear. They are known for country music playing in the background so this was a delightful change. They played one more rock song after that and then the party was over, somebody realized the genre of music wasn’t Longhorn style and switched it back. Our server was friendly and greeted us promptly. She did a great job of checking in and not being overly friendly. We started off with their bread(which is given complimentary). I realize they now ask if you want bread instead of just bringing it out. LOVE their bread and it was fresh. The creamy, sweet butter that comes with it is perfect too! We both noticed they had a lunch combo option, which I thought was smart. There were three price range options: $ 7, $ 8, & $ 9. Each option gave you choice of Caesar or house salad, and then three smaller portion entrée options. The $ 7 one was mainly soup and salad. I opted for the $ 9 option to get the shaved prime rib sandwich and my honey got the $ 8 grilled chicken & strawberry salad. My honey loved her strawberry and chicken salad, and we both thought the Caesar salad was ok. It did come with shaved Parmesan, which was a nice touch. Both the combos came with a ramekin of chips with cheese and bacon poured over it. That was also just ok. My sandwich I didn’t really like. First, it came with mushrooms and secondly, the horseradish sauce didn’t compliment it at all. I managed to eat it all, but the only enjoyable part were the caramelized onions on it. The shaved prime rib wasn’t flavorful and needed some major love. I’d recommend getting a side of BBQ sauce. I also ordered their Perfect Margarita, and … Ahem … It was far from perfect. It was perfectly salted around the rim but it tasted like they watered it down with too much orange juice. It just didn’t do it for me. I didn’t even feel a slight buzz from it. I also noticed there were no mints when we left, which I thought was odd. Overall, this trip was just ok. The service was great but food was just ok. I’m still a Longhorns fan but it’s not a place i frequent often.

Husband and I were very hungry so we stopped into Longhorn’s. Husband ordered his usual Texas Tonion and Renegade(6oz). I selected the new advertised Steak Frites and requested a side of Beefsteak Tomato Bacon Salad. The server tells me that if I order the Beefsteak Tomato Salad as a side, I would NOT get the Parmesan Garlic Fries that comes with Steak Frites. I’m sorry, what??? It’s a Steak Frites, it is supposed to come with the fries!!! I think the server is confusing the fries as a side when it is actually part of a meal. The Steak Frites listed as «NEW: Steak* Frites$ 13.99 Sliced steak and rosemary bordelaise, recommended over Parmesan Garlic Fries» — so instead of my getting a side salad(clearly listed on the flyer if ordering entrée, it’s $ 1.79 extra for a Beefsteak Tomato Salad), you’re tossing out the fries and leaving just the steak slices?!? I would have just ordered a steak salad, but that is not what I ordered. Didn’t Longhorn used to give a choice of house or Caesar salad with a steak entrée’ with our meal? And it came WITH fries(or choice of a side item). So I said just the Beefsteak Tomato Bacon Salad by itself. NO steak for me today. Very disappointed. Salad was good but bacon was barely edible. Husband even mentioned to me that his 6oz steak was smaller but higher priced than the ones Longhorn used to serve in the past and he didn’t even TOUCH his fries. Longhorn stop selling expensive appetizers, barely a meal half steak sandwiches, boring chicken, and pricy desserts!!! ADD better STEAKs and large SHRIMP back into the lunch menus for reasonable prices. Sorry Longhorn, you used to be our favorite but no more.

Prime rib was fair at best. A LITTLE disappointed, ESPECIALLY for a chain lile this with prime rib done daily. It lacked flavor… to say the least. I had a late lunch, 3pm. And left with a desire for a good steak… sad sad. oh well… gonna keep on reviewing. Service was great. Step it up longhorn… we in da ATL!

I’d say mediocre at best. We dropped in for lunch. Service was good, but food was just OK. The spicy chicken bites appetizer was nasty — where’s the chicken — all friend tortilla. The crab bites were edible, but I wouldn’t order again. Onion soup, run of the mill. If this is par for the course with the chain, I probably won’t stop in again.

Good! 2 of us for lunch, 211oz ribeyes and sides and drinks and tip, total $ 50. Busy busy busy at lunch but no wait! Good steaks, but service was just so so, I dont even remember her name… I haven’t been there in 10 years, nothing’s changed, even the customers looked the same, including that old guy in the cowboy hat and spurs at the end of the bar, I swear he was there the last time and lookin just as mean and ornery now as he did then.

Typical Longhorn but this location really tries hard in service and it shows. Many want to call ahead for seating, it can back up quickly.

Friday night will be our last visit to LongHorn. The quality of food and the quantity has dropped as the price went up. My wife’s burger was medium rare not medium and they actually took the burger slapped it into a hot skillet and fried it to medium well then reserved it. My wife took the top of the bun off and asked the manager if he would eat it and he said no. My chicken tenders must have been from Cornish game hens because they were so small they barely covered the bottom of the plate. This coupled with the slowness of being seated when we stood at the bar and counted 10 open booths has made LongHorn the Don’t Go destination for Cumming GA.

The food is the same as in other Longhorns(good), but the service was extremely bad at this particular location. Well, I ordered a perfect margarita, and if like me, you are a regular customer, you know you will get half poured in your cup at the time of serving, and the other half in the shaker to be consumed later on. When I tried to pour some more, all that was in the shaker was ice(the cup also had plenty of ice in it), I politely told this to my server thinking there must have been an error, but she immediately called the manager who –in a very condescending manner– told me that the bartender has been making margaritas for more than 14 years so all that she missed was the word liar, which I am not, but I was with my wife so I decided to leave it at that. Then I told her my salad was missing the chicken, and she went and got it and said so you must be happy now??? Why, because I’m getting what I ordered? Well, I am not like them, so I still left a tip, I will not allow rude horrible people like them to change who I am, and to the server who gave me a very hypocritical«have a nice day» guess what? I’m having it.

Four of us went last Saturday night. The food was good as always. Our sever was s different story. She was inattentive and even upon asking to split the Check she said she couldn’t because we had a coupon. We’ve done this before. We will definitely go back. The food is good and value is excellent. We are regulars here.

This Longhorns is almost identical to every other one I know. And that is good. Excellent service and great food. The only thing that ain’t so great is the placement. Why they did not ask me about that before building there, I will never know! ;-)

Had the prime rib very good, had side of Mac cheese which was excellent. Pretzel stick were over cooked or may have warmed over and over. Service was excellent

Service was spotty and the prime rib was fair. The asparagus was good, and the strawberry pecan salad was fantastic. Note to corporate: the black & blue margarita recipe needs work. When I have a margarita I expect to taste at least a little tequila flavor, but your drink has absolutely none. You may as well call it a daiquiri on the rocks. It clearly needs another ounce of tequila.

Even Subway makes a steak sandwich that isn’t un-eatable. The shaved sirloin sandwich is listed as a new item. Remove it pronto. For a steakhouse, this sandwich was a grave disappointment — and lingers the afternoon with a sad reminder of my poor menu choice. Sparse meat. Anemic onion straws. And a coagulated dip that was offered as cheese sauce. For the love of all that’s good — improve that sandwich or get rid of it.

We were there on Father’s Day for lunch and had a fabulous experience. And thank you to whomever made the decision to quit playing county music so loud there. Sincerely– great decision! Food was great and a solid value for what we ordered. Not only was our waitress great, another lady also came and filled our glasses and the manager came and checked on us. Great experience from start to finish on a day we expected to be hectic. Way to go team!

Not a good experience… which we don’t go out much cause we can’t afford to and from past visits chose Longhorn cause it was always good! Not tonight! STEAKOVERDONE(manager took it off the check it was so wrong)…POTATOOVERDONE… and service not as professional as I expected it to be … In addition there was a foul smell coming from the restroom area and the area needed a cleaning … my husband stated he was grateful he didn’t go to rr before he ate! What a disappointment! ! I am not one to make a living of slamming eating establishments but this time it was necessary..

Today was my wife’s birthday, and she wanted to go here. We eat here every couple of months, and the food is better than average. They chose not to sing Happy Birthday to her, excuse being«she was in the bathroom, so that’s my get out of jail free card for not wanting to sing». Very lame, despite my feelings I tipped this substandard waitress 20%. Will not be back…

My wife & I are Friday night regulars at the bar for dinner & drinks. This evening was the worst night since we started going there. The problem isn’t the food, service, or staff — they’re great. Cindy & Denise always take very good care of us. But, they need help from management. The manager needs to be more attentive to what’s going on. Adult patrons were two deep waiting for bar seating because there were kids with their parents sitting at the bar. In both cases while we were there, these parties spent a good amount of time but consumed only a few appetizers & soft drinks. CUSTOMERS: Don’t bring your kids to bar. They are not welcome there. The bar area is for adults. If we wanted to eat with your family we’d invite ourselves to your house for dinner. MANAGERS: Surely, the bar can be reserved for your adult patrons. Pay attention to what’s going on. Many of us seek out the bar specifically to avoid dining near children. And, we get really, really pissed when we have to wait for seating because kids are there spinning around on the stools. Besides, catering to adults at the bar makes good business sense. Our dinner/drinks tab is more than a couple of sodas & a side of chicken tenders. And we come back the next week to drop another $ 100 — unless we go down the street to one of the other steak houses.

Just came back in August 2015 with my mom who has always been a longhorn fan. I’m over the value part and now looking at what they are adding to get more people in. Came in recently for the fried green tomatoes, asparagus and a actually got a steak/philly sandwich and lunch to share and it was very tasty. Service is from the girls who have been there forever, good service, kind of «diner like” — used to be bit more upscale– but if you get a renegade or the various Flo filets offered, they are good albeit the price point is higher. Gone through several changes over the past years and currently happy with the quality of the food, not so much the service but its not as much a finer dining experience like it used to be. Nevertheless, good location, probably hit and miss on service, good quality menu items and specials are worth a go. Will be back on a semi-normal basis when in Cumming as its consistent. Getting the fried green tomato next time and may try something new.
