M.A.K. Photography

I had some pictures done by Melissa. She is an extremely nice person, and has potential to be a great photographer.
However, I feel that she needs some work on the business end. It seems she can be hard to get a hold of and doesn’t really keep records.
Her prices are kind of high for being a mid-​level photographer. Her work is decent, she just needs to be more modest about cost.
She wasn’t extremely creative with poses and needs to work on telling her models what to do.

We had the privilege of working with Melissa at M.A.K Photography for our engagement photos. To say she did an incredible job would be an understatement. We have gotten so many complements on our engagement photos. She has a unique way of capturing us at just the right moment. The photo’s were retouched and sent back to us in a week or so. We look forward to working with her again for our wedding in June! Thanks again Melissa!

When I first started looking for photographers, I felt like many of them had rather generic portfolios that blended together without much distinction. When I met with Melissa, I really felt that she had a keen eye for capturing unique features of a scene. I decided to go with M.A.K. Photography for my wedding at White Deer Run in Vernon Hills and I am so glad I did! For such a reasonable price, Melissa and Aubrey took stunning photographs without being intrusive and were gladly willing to work with my requests. On the day of the wedding, they were completely independent while also guiding me through certain parts of the process.
Melissa’s attention to detail made the final product look truly extraordinary. If you’re looking for a photographer that provides that special «wow» factor, this is it! I had several of my guests ask for her card at the end of the night and after I posted a sampling of the photos.

I would recommend M. A. K. Photography to anyone who is looking to have pictures of their family, child, or wedding done professionally and beautifully! We had the pleasure of working with her for our wedding a year and a half ago it was a very rainy day but she took the most beautiful pictures that I have ever seen. She pays attention to detail and is very specific about her shots.
