I had a good time here overall. It was quite the experience for sure. For starters their website didn’t explain their modus operandi very well. They basically start with«doors open» where they have a lot of shops, rides and most importantly several bars. I came here with my parents who are in their mid 70s and they seemed to be entertained overall. I was not told about the seating arrangements when I checked in for my tickets and there was no details provided. It is basically bench style sitting which can be pretty uncomfortable after several hours. You are given a table number but the rest is free sitting. I would definitely ask for a table with chairs in the future. The meal starts shortly after the«dinner bell». Everyone was very sweet and pleasant. They are a very well oiled machine here. You are given a tin plate and line up in a buffet line which is fun and they come around later to offer leftovers. The food was good overall, nothing out of this world. Ribs were the highlight, chicken can be a miss especially the«white» portions were too dry but the«dark» was well prepped. Lastly the show was good old country music with some nice additions at the end. Overall I would recomend this place only if you have kids or mid age and above with a die hard love of country music. It was fun for me to entertain my folks, which I am grateful for, however for the price per person as a younger couple I do not see much value here

I had reserved two tickets about a month prior to our show. However, we got three foster placements just a day before Thanksgiving. I called Blazin’ M and there were no problem getting three more tickets. Our show was on a Wednesday at 7:00PM. The gates opens up at 5:00PM. Since this was our first time here, of course we arrived early. You do not have to arrive there that early. But it was still enjoyable going through the shops, riding the tractor train, and shooting the rifles. The dinner bell rings to let everyone know its dinner time around 7:00PM. They have you eat inside of a building that looks like a barn. You are seated by tables, about sixteen people can sit at the table. They have an emcee that tells you all of the events for the evening, how your’re going to get your food, and anything else you need to know. Food: You grab your tin plate and go to the service buffet. They will serve you, all you have to do is let them put the food on your plate. You will get chicken, ribs, baked potato, prickly pear coleslaw, baked beans, and biscuits. I was very surprised how good the food is, especially the coleslaw. They will even go around and serve you seconds if needed. But the first serving is plenty. Once you are done eating they will come around and serve you an apple crisp with ice cream desert. Entertainment: They have a different show throughout the year, we happened to see the Christmas show. It was very entertaining, funny, and great music. Through all of this, they have a bar you can order almost anything you want. And the prices aren’t that bad either. We had a great time, and will come back to see another show. Great for the family, kids will love it.

We took our 38 high school students to the Blazin M for a night of fun and it was really amazing. We arrived at 5:15 and our students enjoyed the property to the fullest. They rode the John Deere tractor ride around the ranch, shot the wax bullets with very friendly employees, tried roping a fake calf with the cowboy on hand, shopped for souvenirs, took a ton of photos all before the dinner. Then it was dinner time and we all came inside for the delicious dinner with excellent instructions on how to load up, family style dining, delicious food for everyone, and they came around to offer more food so everyone was satisfied. The music was incredible. The performers were very very talented, funny, and professional. I liked that the moment of silence was nondenominational, and every student with diverse backgrounds in attendance, could feel free to sit and think; the directive was, «and be grateful in your own way». I loved it! Overall the kids were treated well, the food was really satisfying, and the entertainment felt very good to watch and participate with. I will come back with students and with my partner again.

It’s ok to bring your family and kids. Food was not good. I get the whole western setting but seriously I couldn’t accept the beans and the biscuit tasted stale. We tried to enjoy ourselves with the entertainment. The ghost rider was the highlight of the show. Overall this place is over rated. I wouldn’t recommend this place for dinner.

Is it possible to have too much fun here? Arrived about 5:30, when the gates opened. Well, for starters — the saloon offered a drink called«The Four Horsement»: a mix of Johnny Walker, Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, and Jameson’s. There were also«The Dirty Gerty»(essentially, a «Paralyzer»). Both drinks were worth the money and excellent to the taste. Jump on the 10-minute tractor«hayride»(sans the hay) for a trip around the ranch to see the sights. We then moseyed on over to the«Shootin’ Gallery» — where you get to try your hand a real target practice with a Colt .45 single-action pistol. Two shots on the bullseye — even after the alcohol for me! We toured the animated miniature show. This is a special treat for an engineer, since all the animation in over a dozen displace is done with one motor. Incredible craftsmanship and expertise. Finally, the dinner bell rang… and not too soon. For a mass feeding, the food was very good. The meal included seconds and 3rds, if you can possible fit that much food into your stomach… and it was tasty. Our dinner was barbecue chicken, barbecue baby-back ribs, pinto beans, prickly-pear cole slaw, baked potato and one of the lightest, fluffiest biscuits that I’ve ever had. You absolutely, positively have to ask for seconds on the«flying biscuits». They serve beer, wine and coffee at the beverage counter; otherwise there’s lemonade, tea and water at each table… that you pour into your authentic cowboy chuckwagon tin cup. After the meal, we were treated to a great show of traditional cowboy songs — including one of the best yodeling duos that I’ve ever heard. The highlight was their rendition of «Ghost Riders In The Sky» — complete with an apocalyptic horsemen actually riding a horse in the night. After having been to Las Vegas the week before — and witnessed all types of fakery, terrible lounge performances and plastic people, it was refreshing to visit the Blazin’ M ranch. The prices are extremely reasonable, and the entertainment is excellent. No plastic, no fakery — just really fun entertainment for an excellent price. If you’re planning on going to Sedona, AZ anytime soon, you’ve got to make a trip out to the Blazin’ M.

Had a great time here, last weekend. Fabulous entertainment, friendly service and good food. We got there when it opened and had plenty of time to enjoy the ranch. We took a «hayride,» played corn hole, had a drink at the cute bar and looked in all the shops. We will be back!

This is the third time I’ve been in the area and they will be closed so I can’t catch a show. Would not recommend this place especially if your going for a holiday weekend cause chances are they won’t be open. Why you be closed over labor day I don’t know but it was a serious buzz kill to the weekend we wanted to have. :(

We were extremely pleased with our visit to the Blazin M! If you arrive in advance of dinner, you have time to explore the grounds which include a train ride, an chance to lasso a steer head, a old-timey photo booth and more. It’s a little cheezy, but as the sign at the door says, leave your frowns in the bucket and just go with it. The food was decent and there certainly was plenty of it. But the highlight was the show. It’s just really good. Great singers and stories. Really hilarious bits. And a little bit of a scare. All in all, very enjoyable!

I loved Blazing M Ranch! The folks that run it are really personable and very nice. I felt like I was with one big family having a get together. The food was REALLY yummy and the atmosphere was great! The portions were hefty and you could tell that it all was made with love. I brought an out of town guest from Illinois and she LOVED it. It was a special evening indeed. I recommend it for celebrating birthdays, or anniversaries, etc. My 14 year old was able to shoot a gun and we took a wagon ride pulled by a tractor around the serene property. I think that it is the best deal in the Verde Valley! I will definitely go back an take my friends or guests. Suzi in Sedona

This is more of a full experience. You get the sense of seeing something old, yet timeless at the Blazin’ M Ranch. This is a family that took a healthy dose of adversity and made quite a pitcher of lemonaide from it. This is a dinner and show package that has some fun shopping and activities like lasso, shooting a real six gun(wax bullets) and tractor rides. There’s a full service bar for the thirsty adults along with a selection of kid-friendly beverages. Then, when the food is ready, you head into the barn for some music and variety entertainment. Dinner is cafeteria style with healthy portions of coleslaw, BBQ chicken and ribs, and baked potatoes with sour cream and butter. One the table are huge pituchers of iced tea, water and lemonaide. This is a great nite of Olde Tyme Family Fun. Check it out, next time you’re in Cottonwood!

The ranch was a great way to cap-off our family Spring Break vacation that started out at the Grand Canyon. The ranch hands were extremely polite and welcoming to all. The exhibits and concessions were fine and my 14 and 9-yr-old had a great time learning the lasso and shooting the .45! As for the dinner show, it was well done. I expected some«cheesey» side show event, but the entertainment was of much higher quality than expected. From classic cowboy songs to funny renditions of songs and stories. We absolutely loved the American tribute as the closing number and my kids kept talking about the«Ghost Rider» number. Gifted performers for sure. The family couldn’t go back home to SoCal without their CD. The food was very good with generous portIons. If you have enjoyed dinner shows like Medieval Times, you will love the Blazin M. BTW, the food was much better at Blazin M!

It’s a cute huge ranch with a family friendly show that you can enjoy with the whole family. Corny of course but cute. Old and young alike seemed to enjoy it. There are long tables that can get rather uncomfortable to sit at long term– especially when you get to a certain age. The shops are cute so they are worth a visit to, especially the one with the wood carving displays that are completely amazing. You can take a hay ride included in price that shows you a bit more of the ranch itself. A small shooting range, saloon, photo shop round out the attractions. Everything is coordinated well and the food was just ok. IMO the ribs were the best. Hubby loved the prickly pear cole slaw. Both agreed chicken was overlooked and baked beans tasteless. The rest average. It’s worth your time to visit with family so while in the area check it out.

This place was amazing, I really had no idea what to expect. Reminded me of my hometown the way the little town was built for we also have wooden sidewalks. Everyone was so great and friendly. The food was so good, the ribs were yummy and the Prickly Pear Coleslaw was to die for. Of course I had to purchase a bottle of Prickly Pear Syrup to be able to get the recipe to recreate the coleslaw at home. But I know it will be well worth it. The entertainment was by far so memorable. Brought me way back to my childhood when I spent time with my Great Grandma. She loved anything Western. She was such a kick. But it was by far the best time my Hubby and I had celebrating our 45th Anniversary! I know I will never forget this eventful evening!!!

Oh, the ribs… This place is a cute western town, with lots of fun activities like steer roping with a catgut and six gun shootin… and them suckers are loud! Got a tractor ride through the property and noticed that Ashley B’s awesomeness was showing. Bring the kids and learn a life lesson, like don’t kick a cow patty on a hot day. They got ribs too. You get to walk and play and shop, and then the dinner bell rings. Service is by table, so git up tenderfoot, single file and saddle on up to the chow line, which has a small bar at the end. This may be your one and only chance to say: «Barkeep, give me a stiff one». Now that your done, get yer stuff and sit yer cow-poker back down… but don’t squat on dem spurs! I know we all had a long day, we were hungry, and had been sampling various wines, but dem vittles tasted so darned good to me. And dadgum it, the ribs were the rootin’est tootin’est ones this side of the Rio Grande. That Prickly Pete can sure get down with a chuckwagon. The show was fun, lighthearted humor, until the backwoods whipping post scene, which I personally found unsettlingly graphic. No wait… that was Twelve Years a Slave… The show wrapped up with a ghost rider and his calico galloping the perimeter of our chow hall. It was coming down like cats and dogs, so God bless him. I have love in my heart for the Blazin’ M Ranch… and their ribs. i’ll come a callin again darlin

Blazin M Ranch is the most fun you’ll have in the west! We went here with for their first ever Unilocal Field Trip and it was a blast! We arrived at 5:00 pm, an hour before our meet time with our fellow Unilocalers. We checked in at the ticket booth and the nice woman told us to have a look around, visit the bar for a cool drink, and check out the fun shops and museum. First stop, a quick photo at the«Wanted Dead or Alive» jail house. That was a hoot.(see my profile pic to the left oir at the bottom of this review) Next we toured the gift shop where they had all kinds of cool trinkets, snacks and great touristy things. We purchased a cool magnet and a scrumptious chocolate bar. Moving on, we went into another gift shop, aimed at the kiddos, which turned out to be the coolest museum. They have all these hand carved animated displays of cowboys and animals doing different funny things. Some of these displays took quarters and dimes and did cool things. These were a lot of fun! They have any area where you can shoot a real gun with wax bullets. The line was long so we passed. Looked cool though. We strolled into the next shop, clothing and accessories. So many cute things… I wanted them all. Next stop, western photos! You can get dressed up like an outlaw or cowpoke and have your picture taken, western style. Out of my budget at the time, but looked like a blast. They have an area where you can practice roping a cow. I didn’t do too bad… roped the cow and the bale of hay it was on. Oops! I need a little more practice. After all this shopping I needed a drink. We walk in to the bar and there, sitting at the bar, is the most delicious looking drink I have seen since I quit drinking earlier(LOL). I think it is called a Prairie Rose and is a mango daiquiri… the best one I have ever had. She had just made it as a display but I snatched it up. This happened twice. Both times I walked in and my drink was waiting for me. Best bar ever! With drinks in hand, we took a tour of the place in a cart being pulled by a tractor. Our driver and guide we so friendly and fun and it was neat to see the many animals on the property… goats, pigs, mini horses, a llama, a cow, fowl of different varieties… even a beaver swimming in the Verde River. Definitely worth the trip and worthy of the tip we left for great service. Time to eat! We head in to the mess hall, got seated at nice, comfy picnic tables and listened to a few announcements. They have the serving of food down pat and it is fast. All you can eat ribs, chicken, baked potato, prickly pear coleslaw, baked beans & biscuits. Free lemonade, tea and water to drink. Dessert is baked caramel apples with whipped cream on top. After your initial serving, they bring out seconds, thirds, fourths… whatever you want until you are full. We were stuffed! The entertainment was top notch. There were three musicians playing good olé country songs along with another funny guy doing funny skits and banter. I’ll give you a quick run down of the performers. You should definitely check these folks out. Bill Bassett was the emcee of dinner and our entertainment and he is über talented on several different instruments. I was very impressed with this. Great singer. Jim Martin was funny and had the coolest convertible hat you will have to see to understand. Jeanne Martin played bass and had me entranced. Both Jim and Jeanne sang such sweet harmonies. Tom Jepperson played a character named«Otis» and he was a hoot! His story of Cinderella is unlike any you have heard before. My favorite part of the evening was when this group sang«Ghost Writers In The Sky.» I don’t want to give it away but you definitely want to be in your seat for this. We arrived around five for all the fun. I think dinner was around 7:00. The show was over sometime after 9:00. It truly was the perfect evening. It was a little rainy off and on that evening but it didn’t take away from the fun. Fun, delicious and worth a trip up to Cottonwood to support this family. They really pull out all the stops to give you a great time. WEWILLBEBACK! THANKSBLAZIN M RANCH! Thanks to Lindsey for organizing this fabulous trip and thanks to Lori and the whole team at Blazin M Ranch for such wonderful evening.

What a terrific place! The entire place is really well done, from the little village on the ranch(cute stores, a place to shoot a gun, an old timey photo shop) to the dinner and show. It’s definitely a fine evening of food and entertainment! The food is delicious, even if you’re a vegetarian! We couldn’t believe they had veggie patties and grilled veggie kabobs for us. They serve prickly pear cole slaw that’s just lovely, wonderful biscuits, baked potato, and a tin cup of apple pie with ice cream for dessert. Our friends said the ribs and chicken were tasty, too, and the staff is walking around with additional helpings after you go through the buffet line. The entertainment is top-notch(obvious even to those who aren’t fans of classic country-western) — the show is engaging, hilarious and interesting, and all four of the performers are incredibly talented! If you’re in Cottonwood/Clarksdale, I’d definitely recommend stopping here!
