KFC

Worse KFC I’ve ever been at (though that’s not many). Their pictures are the most false representations of their food. Their «grilled» chicken was so burnt I couldn’t tell what it was or what part of the chicken it was. As for the $ 5 BBQ sandwich, the pictures looks big and stuffed with meat, when I got it, I couldn’t see any meat because the buns were hiding it. Every other countless fast food restaurant has 99cent meals bigger than their $ 5 meal. Save your time and money or just walk across the street to Baja fresh.

This place is flat out GHETTO! Stop, turn around, and go someplace else. I warned you… This place is Dirty, Smelly and Poorly managed. The chicken was dry and stale as if it had been sitting there for a couple days. Employees there have no regards to sanitation. While dining in I seen 4 employees on their break eating and playing with there food as if they were playing fear factor. One guy actually started gagging while the other employees laughed. Customers were waiting in line and no one was in the counter to take the orders. The employees just sat there looking dirty.

Not only is the chicken too greasy but the amount of trash from a simple roses is amazing. Never eating here again. Those childhood memories are forever gone.

New boneless chicken was good though you don’t get much for the price.

One star is about one too many. No parking. Took 25 minutes for an individual serving of Popcorn Chicken… They didn’t have a Famous Bowl!!! Cashier barely spoke English. I could go on but I won’t. Drive to Laguna Niguel, it’ll be worth the 10 minutes extra.

Nothing like the smell of KFC from afar. Even though I have a feeling that the 11 different herbs and spices are salt, pepper, more salt and eight different types of MSG, the original recipe is still fun to eat.
If you are partial to mashed potatoes out of a box (like me) the KFC side is a delight with its peppery gravy and goopy consistency. And it makes a great dip for the chicken strips as well.

Lived in Corona Del Mar for a year and it hit me that there are just a few places I have never been to, and that I should at least try. And this was one of them.
One of the great things about Corona Del Mar is that, for the most part, all the restaurants and shops are unique, and independently owned, and generally not part of a corporate chain of sameness. As a result, you won’t find fast food in CDM (and definitely no drive throughs. Baja Fresh, Subway, and this KFC are the only major franchises in town.
I’m not really a fan of the food, and KFC and their menu items have been reviewed over and over again elsewhere. Had the grilled chicken, which was tasty.
The inside is super clean, and very well lit, and staff were friendly, which is why the one star above average. Yes, the parking lot is tiny, but there’s street parking on PCH and side streets.
I wonder how this place stays in business. I have walked up and down PCH literally hundreds of times and never see anyone sitting in this restaurant or ordering here. It has to be tough to compete with all the other restaurants (and their happy hour specials), including the Fried Chicken Mondays at Crow Bar down the street.

We stopped by on our way to Corona Del Mar to get some chicken for the kids. I mean we obviously all know that KFC will NOT stay in your body for more than a few hours. Biology just will not allow that type of grease to stay in your body. –_​–
But this staff was SO nice! They hooked it up with all of the condiment (ketchup, honey, BBQ sauce, butter…) We got more than a handful of each! Plus plates and sporks without even asking!
If you are craving some KFC (for some ungodly reason) and are near by, do not hesitate! These nice people will kindly serve you! :)

Don’t even try to tell me that you haven’t succumbed to the allure of the Colonel’s secret blend of 11 herbs and spices (including, I surmise, just a hint of crack cocaine), from time to time…
The Beautiful Carin has been out of town… I have been working from 4:00 am to 10:00 at night pretty much every day this week… I was hungry and I didn’t feel like cooking or eating out… getting a bucket of Original and collapsing in front of the TV, watching TiVO’d crap while I hoovered down a drumstick, thigh and breast was likely very wrong… but it somehow felt so very right!
This KFC is one of the nicer ones (as befits a KFC in the heart of CDM).
Located right on the PCH, they have a nice, friendly and efficient staff; clean surroundings and a better than average version of that good old, greasy KFC chicken.
And even though it doesn’t happen very often, this location stays in the rotation for those times when I’m jonesin’ and only the Colonel has what I need.
