So I am currently on my lunch break and I decide to go to subway because it’s so good. What’s not so good is their customer service. I order a subway club and the lady puts on the meat and the mayo and mustard, she just asked me what veggies I want when another employee comes up to her and asks her if I ordered double meat. She says no. The employee says she put too much on and proceeds to disassemble my sandwich and toss them.(literally tossed them across the veggie section to the meat section) I just stared at her completely shocked. So now I guess I had the appropriate portion of deli meat, but the mayo and mustard were everywhere and the first lady walked away without saying a word and the second employee finished up my order without any eye contact or a single word. I really wanted to say that she should have told her after my order was finished or told her to next time do it the correct way. But please don’t put your hands all over my sandwich and pull it apart just to prove a point. Not coming back to this one again.

I work here in the mall and come here often cause who doesn’t like subway? Everyone who works here gives me attitude, I’ve been served by every single one of them. I consider fashion island a high end place and would expect better customer service. They are so slow, I have to tell them one ingredient at a time or they ask me a million times«what else did you want ?» But then again I guess it doesn’t take much educational background to be a «sandwich artist» I only get a 30 minute time slot for lunch at work, and nothing irks me more than someone with no sense of urgency. Like why tf was this bitch taking her sweet ass time. She decided to refill the spinach while in the middle of making my sandwich ?! You’ve got to be shitting me. I started writing this review while she was still making my sandwich, if that helps explain how horrible my experience was.

Mannnnn let me tell you. I love subway. I go to subway and get my favorite footlong with Italian herbs and cheese aka that young oven roasted chicken. But the thing is, I don’t just like oven roasted chicken. I LOVECILANTRO. Yoooo cilantro is so bomb. But guess what?! THEYGOTNOCILANTRO. Like bruh, this is like going to the candy store and their no candy. Or going to the donut shop without donuts. OR going to a Laker game and Kobe ain’t even playing. Like cmon now, I can go to stater bros and buy myself some cilantro, but I am lazy and well there’s no stater bros around here plus I’m already paying for this meal. Buy some cilantro! Cost you like $.56, you’re already ripping me off by selling me a sandwich for $ 7.50 and it costs you less than $ 1 to make cause it’s more frozen than Olaf in that Disney movie before it’s actually heated up. Subway eat fresh SIKE what’s fresh with frozen food before it’s given out? Smh, all I’m saying is buy some cilantro.

I don’t expect exceptional customer service from a Subway, but I do expect to be treated like a paying customer. I am waiting in the single file line to order my sandwich & the guy ahead of me is taking forever to order his 5 sandwiches(not their fault) but the moment another girl finished with her single sandwich order, a man walks up & orders a beverage. I am waiting. I expected her to inform the man that their is a line & that I was next, make him wait, & take my order– since I had already been waiting for 5 minutes. She doesn’t, takes his order but never apologizes for the rude customer. I’m annoyed at this point, she seems like she hates her job– fine! I get it! But I can’t stand businesses who don’t train their employees basic customer service skills. I should have just cut in front of the guy ordering 5 sandwiches & I’m sure the women working wouldn’t have said anything. Avoiding this place, like I should have. These food establishments need to recognize that their regularly paying customers(ie the people who WORK at the mall & eat there every day) need to be treated better. Not better than everyone else but better overall!

Just like any other subway, quick service for a 30 minute lunch time slot. Fresh ingredients as expected and toasted sandwiches are up to par. This new location is in the food court of fashion island mall. Make sure you know what you want before stepping in line so you don’t hold up other customers on the run too! Best thing about this place is that their prices are not marked up as other stores are when they are located in the mall for shoppers convenience.
