My waitress was nice, but I had to pry glee out of her at first. There were a few«regulars» who received a smile. The food is dreadful. Why anyone frequents this place, while they have a diner in town, is beyond me. Well, at least now I can say I’ve been to one of these bootleg diners. One time, last time for me.

Listen. It’s a Waffle House. Their motto is probably«3 stars is better than none» What do you expect from a greasy spoon breakfast. Honestly, you need to reevaluate your life, if you need to get«up in arms» over the condition, service and quality of a Waffle House. Furthermore, the ONLY time it is acceptable to complain about a Waffle House is when visiting at normal breakfast hours(7am-10am), otherwise please keep drinking and come back after Midnight for a TRUE Waffle House Experience. It’s like a strip club… the best experiences ALWAYS happen after midnight hours…

When I went in the place was filthy. Sat down and had to ask for the table to be wiped down because food was stuck to the sides of the table. The lady then picked food off with her nail. Food was good, coffee good. This place needs a deep cleaning. Server was attentive, but I couldn’t get over the dirty floors, tables, windows.

I have been to many Waffle House’s and this one is near several places we frequent but not my favorite. Normally there is something going on… whether it is a drunk insisting they take a pic with us because we are such a cute looking couple(she was a strange one and I also have to pic to prove this) or staff members complaining to others about how they dislike what other staff members are doing. Food is pretty good.

I’m a regular at this Waffle House(usually Saturday or Sunday during the day). It always had excellent service and the typical food quality that I’ve come to expect. However, my recent evening visit was a hugh dissapointment. The waitress never came to refill our drinks, nor bring our missing waffle and grits. Why didn’t I just ask for them, you say? The only waitress dissapeared after dropping off our order. I had to ask the cook for our check. I’m so dissapointed that I’m calling the region office when the open. So, if you are planning a trip to WH, try one of the other local breakfast places instead.

Waffle house– get a waffle even though it’s not the best waffle in town but it’s good enough. This definitely isn’t the cleanest looking place either so that’s why I’m giving it 3 stars. Hash browns, I don’t recommend getting it «scattered all the way» it literally looks like a heart attack on the plate. If you really want to go all the way though… prepare to feel guilty afterwards. Nonetheless, good place to drop by after a ski trip(after you’ve burned A TON of calories) and you need some energy.

It took my wife and I about 2 minutes to decide that we would not eat at this restaurant. The place is filthy! No telling what the county would find if they did an inspection!

Oh dear. Where do I even begin? Basically, this place is just not worth it. I was actually looking forward to eating at my first waffle house(sad? maybe, but I love breakfast food). But the food and service was just so below anything I’ve ever experienced, it left a very bad taste in my mouth… figuratively and literally. I love greasy spoons. I love little diners. I don’t need a lot of flash. I just love good food and friendly people. My waffle and eggs did not sit well with me and I didn’t finish even ¼ of the waffle because it did not taste good… it tasted bland and it was burnt on the outside. It just sat in my stomach like a brick after the first 2 bites. I then was charged for a side of hashbrowns even though they come with the 2 eggs… it is stated right on the menu. When I went to pay and showed this to the waitress at the register, you would have thought I had set the place on fire. People were all confused and asking what happened. It’s not hard — just take the extra side of hashbrowns OFF my ticket and let me pay. 3 waitresses then had a mini-huddle behind the register, one of them being my waitress, and I guess came to the conclusion that the hashbrowns could be taken off. But it was such a big deal, the woman at the register decided to lecture me on how«next time I should specify that I wanted the hashbrowns as part of the meal». — Umm… WTF are you kidding me? It says right on it that it comes with the meal! I would understand if I had said«an extra side of – «, etc. or if they had even brought out 2 plates of hashbrowns, then it would have made sense where the confusion was. But the overall order was right, but I was just overcharged. It was not a huge deal to me, but when brought to the attention of the staff, apparently it was to them(and my fault at that).

There’s two schools when it comes to the Awe-ful Waffle, Hate it or Love it, I am the latter of the two. This is The greasy comfort food chain, friend of the trucker and road trippers wherever they be located. This location sits off Polaris Parkway on the north side just east of Sancus Blvd and easy to miss with the mix of low signage and 45 mph speed limits. plus it’s kind of a clusterfoxtrot finding your way in here with a mix a Krogers and many other restaurants around this corner. Once you find your way in here you’ll find the usual WH experience, seat yourself, open kitchen diner with sassy but friendly servers. Yes I love the hash browns(all the way) but what brings me back is the pecan waffle. Ahh the beauty of a well done to a nice crisp pecan waffle with plenty of butter and syrup is a true delight and I can’t say I have ever had a bad one here. There are some other goodies I like here like Bert’s Sausage Melt, yes, greasy bad but oh so good. Open 24⁄7 for your diner diving eats for the prices they give ya what ya pay for. Again, getting in and out of this funky little parking lot can be a pain but the comfort food payoff is waiting inside.

I went very late on a Saturday Night and needed food. It rocked… Not sure about it the next day but know I will continue to get my hashbrowns smothered, covered, chucnk, diced, etc…

i’m not from this area so I don’t automatically love Waffle House. I wish there were Denny’s in Columbus. That being said, I was at this restaurant late last night(1:30 a.m.). There were 7 of us and one ended up going home because there wasn’t anywhere for that many people to sit. We ended up at the bar facing the grill, where 2 greasy looking chefs were sweating into our food. It was very dirty. I’d heard the jokes about«Awful House» and people are right. The floor looked like it hadn’t been seriously mopped in weeks and the waffle cooking area was caked in batter. They were busy when we got there but even once it slowed down no one attempted to clean it up. My bacon was delicious, thick cut and greasy. My hash brown were undercooked with onions that were in 1″ squares. I love onions but they were awfully large pieces. My waffle was undercooked but the pecans in it were good. I’d go again if there wasn’t any other places where I could eat breakfast food that late at night… but if I was sensitive to filth, I wouldn’t step foot in this place. Oh and my coffee cup had lipstick on one side with something else that I picked off. I left the lipstick on so I would know which area not to drink from.

We go in streaks… sometimes we end up there a lot. Then we stop going. Cheesy eggs and hashbrowns scattered, smothered and covered are usually good. Or just a big olé bowl of grits with a piece of cheese. The people watching is not as good for people watching as some other Central Ohio locations. Other Columbus locations have a more colorful clientele and that is a big part of Waffle House for me.
