I am from the east coast and if you are looking for awesome East coast style(New York style) Chinese food, this place will not let you down! The egg rolls are not the spring roll looking things that other places serve with sweet and sour sauce. They are bubbly and fried, served with DUCKSAUCE. Yes if you ask other Chinese places for duck sauce in the Springs, they either never heard of it or do not carry it.(BLASPHEMOUS!). I personally like sushi but am unable to ear raw fish. The Colorado Springs roll is insanely yummy and no raw fish! SO you do the math, REAL egg rolls + duck sauce + Colorado Springs sushi roll = BESTNYSTYLECHINESEFOODINTHESPRINGS!

Nice hole-in-the-wall type place. The sushi is actually quite good and reasonably priced. There is complementary tea too! I have gone here many times and have not been disappointed.

Pretty over this place. After receiving my chow mein which consisted of literally just onion, celery, and chicken I was very disappointed. That’s not what chow mein is, it has noodles! That’s the whole point of the dish! Not authentic what so ever. Definitely don’t order their chow mein, it’s so gross! They literally should call it chicken with onions, that’s literally all it is. I tried giving this place a chance since so far it’s the only OK Chinese that delivers but the food is so gross. They skimp so much on their meat in their fried dishes, too. It’s usually just batter covered in sauce. Literally the only thing I like here is the cheese wontons, and those don’t even have the crab that they are listed to have. Cream cheese puffs. Will try finding a better restaurant.

Tried this place out on my friend’s recommendation. I was a little hesitant to go in based on the outter appearance, but the inside was nicer. It’s a smaller space but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. As far as the prices go they are very reasonable for the portion. I had the chicken with garlic which was pretty good and if you dine in they give you soup on the house! I feel like you can’t go wrong with any of the entrees honestly. Would definitely recommend if anyone is looking for quick, cheap, and pretty good Chinese food.

Staying at a local hotel we were thinking Chinese and didn’t want to go out. Surfing my handy Unilocal app. we decided to give this place a try. We ordered chicken chow main and general toas chicken, egg rolls and crab cheese wontons. We used an online application to order. Within minutes after hitting submit a very nice young woman called me back to verify chow main and not Lomain. I then called back to request utensils(being in a hotel and all). The food was delivered within a reasonable amount of time by a very pleasant man. Everything was hot and tasted great. I’m an egg roll junky, so more than picky given these could make or break my personal experience. They make great egg rolls. We took the leftovers home and the egg rolls still just as good next day. I would definitely call this one a winner. Next time we are in the area will be sure to order or stop in again.

Nice little find. We ate at the restaurant, service was friendly and the food was awesome! Nothing fancy, very small establishment, looks like it’s family ran. Next time we are in Colorado Springs we will not hesitate to eat here again!

The only reason I’ll give tho place five stars is because it’s the closest Chinese food to New York Chinese food I’ve had here in Colorado!

Normally this place gets 4+ stars from me. Their food is quite tasty. However, my wife and I both came down with salmonella poisoning as a result of eating their chicken. Symptoms of salmonella poisoning: acute diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, and fever. Symptoms begin between 12 and 36 hours after consumption. We both got hit with these symptoms 12 and 14 hours after eating. Sorry Rong Cheng. You won’t be getting my business ever again.

In town for a few days, wanted some Chinese that was not from a chain. Pleasantly surprised at the quality! Delicious crab cheese wonton, hot and sour soup, general tso’s chicken, and fried rice. Would definitely become a regular if we lived here!

More like Rong Choice! All of the food was either bland or oversalted. Part of our order was incorrect. Delivery was extremely slow. I won’t make the mistake of ordering from here again.

I’m SO glad I bit the bullet and gave them a shot! My roommate had ordered from Rong Cheng a couple times and said the food was good. Today, I decided to try it, even though I was apprehensive. Ordering from a new place is scary because sometimes you be better off just eating your money! I ordered the cashew shrimp, sweet & sour chicken, crabmeat cheese wontons, and the Colorado Springs roll. My total was 41, after tip. I’ll start with the bad. The shrimp in the Colorado Springs roll was undercooked. Now the good, THEFOOD! The roll was delicious, not too spicy, it looked nice and everything was fresh. They gave it it’s own bag, which was nice because the rest of the food was HOT! It was so nice to open a bag of delivered food and see steam! The sweet & sour chicken was hot, crispy, delish, and cooked perfectly! I hate sweet & sour chicken that has been cooked so long, it becomes dry, tough, and stringy. This chicken was not that way! The cashew shrimp was hot, yummy, and had zucchini in it, which I’ve never seen. The crabmeat cheese wontons were hot(notice a pattern?), with plenty of filling. Not a huge fan of the sweet & sour sauce, but there were plenty of packets of the good sauce in the bag. They also included a small bag of almond cookies that had no taste, but were a nice touch. The smiley face drawn on the bag of cookies was appreciated! All in all, I have to say I VERYMUCH enjoyed my lunch! There was so much food, it’ll last me through the weekend!

This food is horrible. I couldn’t even eat half of my order and it gave me the worst indigestion and heartburn I’ve ever had. I don’t know where they get this food at, but it is NOT authentic Chinese. Do not waste your money here. New China Kitchen is still my favorite.

Stopped at Rong Cheng on a late night, when I did not feel like cooking and I was next door shopping for some craft supplies. I have seen this small place a million times when I get groceries, and I decided to give it a go. The interior is typical strip mall chinese place. Absolutely no frills. No interest in décor whatsoever. This is not just a chinese food place. They seem to dabble in many other Asian fares. They have a mini sushi counter where you can see the sushi being cut and assembled. They also offer a few Thai dishes(Pad-Thai) and some Teriyaki and tempura. I am not sure that this is the best way… I would suggest to get really good in one cuisine and just stick with that, but hey they are free to give a mediocre try to everything. I ordered a chicken fried rice dinner to go. It included an egg roll. The roll was crispy but super dooper greasy. It also contained some odd mystery meat… which I am assuming to be pork, that was an artificial pink hue. The chicken fried rice did not really seem to be fried but more like steamed. It was not crispy in any fashion and it was very bland. They do get two stars though. The first is for the server/cashier, who was very nice and affable. The second star they get for delivering in Rockrimmon. I know. I am like a broken record. There is no delivery service in our area, so whenever I find a restaurant that offer the service that grants them automatically one star. They deliver any item from the menu, so that includes sushi. Although I am not sure how their sushi attempt is. I may have to try and report back.

VEGETABLESUSHI! … It’s probably my favorite thing on earth to eat, and Rong Cheng does it right. I find it comical that every time I go pick up an order they comment on how many vegetables I eat. But, they remember me so that is something positive to say for the staff. Their vegetable lo mein is delicious. I have never had anything from this place that did not taste wonderful. They do deliver, so no worries if you are lazy and do not want to get out of your stupid pajamas, or if you’re too drunk to drive. But really, person reading my opinion, don’t drive if you’re drunk… Just eat Rong Cheng… In stupid pajamas. The only reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5, is because if I was to dine-in, I do not feel like I would be very comfortable… with or without Michael Jackson music. If you’re looking for a restaurant that is hipster and comfy go else where, like PF Chang’s where your expensive oily bland food is served to you on a plate of gold. Rong Cheng is definitely a take-out or get it delivered kind of place, unless you’re the type of person that goes to Taco Bell for the environment and comfy seating…

Overall I give it a 3.5 stars for food and 4 stars for ease of online ordering & delivery. I’m in Colorado Springs for work staying at the Embassy Suites and needed someone that would deliver fresh food. This place was perfect for that! They delivered right to our room! House special lo mein, house special fried rice, crab cream cheese wonton and their cashew but chicken was simple yet tasty. I wasn’t too hot on their hot & sour soup since it was mostly just soup and not much bamboo shoots or eggs like I’m used to but it was descent. If you’re looking for a good quick Chinese place in Colorado Springs, this place is just right!

I ordered chicken lo mein, pork fried rice, and fried wontons for delivery. The lo mein had no veggies in it. The fried rice was crunchy like it hadn’t been cooked. And the fried wontons didn’t seem fried and were soggy on the bottom from the pork inside. I called to let them know and there were no offers to credit me back or to replace the food. Very disappointing experience.
